Prince Edward Island Mussels

This was a traditional Italian restaurant that had a standard menu with homemade pasta and a few specials. There seemed to be a large party or event area on the left side upon entering and a more casual dining room to the right. The service was kind and friendly as we only ordered appetizers. This was also BYOB. They start with a breadbasket. It came out very hot. It was very tasty. The crust was crisp while the inside was soft and had a nice texture. For appetizers, the eggplant stack ($15) and the Prince Edward Island mussels ($17) were ordered. The eggplant stack consisted of fried eggplant, fresh mozzarella, and roasted peppers with a balsamic glaze. This was solid. The eggplant was crispy and very flavorful. It paired nicely with the mozzarella. The only issue for me on this dish was the roasted peppers. They came out cold and were very thick. It just seemed off when eating the rest of this. The mussels came with tomatoes, basil, roasted garlic, and white wine. There were about two dozen or so mussels. This was okay at best. The sauce lacked flavor even with the thin garlic pieces. The mussels were tasty, but the sauce left a lot to be desired. Will I go back? Probably.

Great ambiance and friendly staff. The pasta was a simple dish yet incredible-cooked perfectly and just the right amount of garlic. The tiramisu was also a great dessert. Would definitely recommend this place!

Delicious and fantastic service - plus a BYO! I certainly would recommend any app on their menu. No complaints at all, worth checking out!

I ordered the Mahi-mahi special which was served over pasta. It didn't taste like what I was expecting but still flavorful. The restaurant had an inviting ambiance. Savor was one of the few restaurants opened on a Monday, but it wasn't very busy which was great. For an appetizer, I ordered the caprese which had thick cuts of mozzarella and beefsteak tomatoes, basil, and olive oil, drizzle of balsamic glaze. I am obsessed with balsamic, so I should've asked for more on the side. Everything tasted extremely fresh, but the basil tasted as if it was perfectly harvested. For my entree, I planned to get the NY Strip but made a last minute change when I heard the Mahi-mahi was one of the specials for the day. It was dressed with sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, and asparagus which ultimately won me over. If I ordered it again, I would ask for the pasta to be served on the side. Our server was very attentive and helped us with last minute accommodations to our orders. I did request a side of risotto to come out with my entree which never hit the table, but I didn't even notice. There was enough food in front of me. I would return again.

Savor has been able to be open again, after being affected by the fire on Main St. up the block at King Tut, luckily they were only closed for 3 weeks. I'm sure for Rob and staff it felt like 3 months. We went yesterday, was so nice to see the umbrellas up and outside seating ready for guests. We opted for inside seats, near the windows (always great to people watch) for our lunch "date". Can't even count the number of times we have all eaten here, I personally must have been here 50+ times over the years, (not including showers, rehearsal dinners, repasts, and catering) who knows about the other three? Anyways, yesterday, did not disappoint as in any other time. Maybe the smiles on Rob, Lisa and staff were bigger than usual? Salad's were super fresh with dressings that popped, chicken succulent and shrimp cooked to perfection. The home-made rigatoni was al dente with the best vodka sauce in town. Having two sweet tooth's with us, off-course there would be dessert with lunch! The fluffiest, lightest, most-delicious cheesecake with a thick decadent raspberry sauce on top (I tried half of a bite, amazing) and who can pass up home made cannoli's? So glad Savor can be back in the rotation

Known for their homemade pasta. Great location in downtown Somerville. Def recommend making a reservation. BYOB. Good food, the sausage and pasta dish is my favorite. Mussels are good, could use a bit more garlic in my opinion. Overall - good experience after going a few times.

The special salad of the night, fresh water cress with feta, red onion, craisins & nuts. Yumm!

Always our go to for Italian family owned in Somerville. Thanks Lisa for remembering our anniversary!

Nothing special about food choices or flavor. Waiter forgot to bring soup that someone ordered and never got. Ugly decor

The strip mall itself isn't anything special, but the surrounding area is beautiful , and once you're inside, the restaurant feels warm and inviting. The food is fantastic, and the variety on the menu is impressive. The chef clearly knows what they're doing because every single dish we tried was genuinely delicious. It's the kind of spot where you can't go wrong: date night, dinner with friends, or anything in between. We brought our own bottle and had a great time. Our waiter was super knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. The staff even joked around with me when I forgot my to‑go bag, and yes, I absolutely took it home because the food is that good. I also appreciate that they don't act like offering takeout is beneath them; even the takeout bag was nice. I honestly wish my meals were this good every night. I hope everyone who works here is paid well and enjoys what they do, because they're running the place exactly how a restaurant should be run. It feels like a true community staple somewhere that transports you a bit and makes the whole experience feel special. Lovely all around.

The locale itself is really cute and conveniently located. The ambiance was giving Little Italy pizza & pasta, not fancy by any means, very casual. The food was mediocre -- calamari was alright but the chicken dishes were not that great. My partner asked to sub pasta as their dishes come with mashed potatoes and vegetables but we were told it wasn't possible to sub pasta because the kitchen was too busy We'll probably just take the extra 10 minute drive into Somerville when craving Italian food.

What stood out was the nice and the flowery presentation. The service was very friendly and fast. It's such a gem and I'm very glad we discovered this place. The service is quick too, I felt like our food came out quickly for the size of our group. One thing to note is that this restaurant is BYOB. The food - it was okay. The eggplant rolatini was fine, although I think the eggplant was sliced a little thick for the dish. The lobster ravioli sauce was good, but the ravioli itself was extremely thick (the pasta part). It felt like more ravioli than lobster. I was really excited about the tri color pizza, it sounds so yummy with all the sauces! I was disappointed to see that the stripes however are all of the 3 sauces you get. So I felt it really lacked in sauce. What I think should have been done, is thick stripes of the sauce, cheese on top, and then the stripes for the plating. My sister got the pesto pizza and the also complained that there was a lack of sauce. Overall, I think this restaurant is okay. I'm not really sure I would be back as there are other pizza places in the area where I've had better pizza.

I mean, where else can you get Tri-Colored Pizza which was pesto, vodka sauce, and marinara with mozzarella all on the same slice? Plus, the crispy chicken on top? Chef's kiss. Would we order them again? Probably not. But honestly, we're coming back for that pizza. Their pizza flavors and that perfect crispiness of the crust have us hooked. We definitely want to come back to try their appetizers and salads as well.
