Savor is one of my favorite neighborhood bars in Columbus. The drinks are strong and cheap, they have a killer beer selection -- all reasonably priced, and the service for the most part is quick and friendly (Mandy makes the best cocktails). The music can vary by bartender, but usually they play alternative. Several TVs are hung above the bar, so it's a great place to catch a game. As other people have mentioned, Savor has a very international wine selection -- Italian, French, Australian, and Spanish wines -- just to name a few. Their beer selection is extensive as well. I've lived close to Savor Pint for several years now. It is a good spot to drop in and find a wide variety of beers to pick from and take home. They also have a good sized bar if you'd like to stick around and try out a few of their offerings on tap. Savor Pint also occasionally has different tasting events. The events are why I took some stars off my review. I feel they always over book their events and people are crowded uncomfortably into the small space. Last night I attended their espresso martini event. We were given 3 martinis to sample. The place was already packed when I arrived, but I was lucky to find 2 seats at the bar. After sitting at the bar during the event the bartender asked me to move from the bar so other people could sit there. The entire bar was full of people that had been there longer than me. I'm not sure why I was singled out. I found it very rude. I had paid for my ticket just like everyone else there. Not my problem if they oversell their events. read more

I about to leave but the guy finally helped me out and located the case, which were in another area. Pros: If you're looking for a nice clean bar, they have a vast variety of bourbons, liquor, beer etc. Cons: Service sucked! I asked for help and the bartender saw me but kept mopping. Nice little place. Went for a bourbon tasting and arrived early. They had 20+ beers on tap, large selection of craft cans and wines from all over. Service was prompt and very nice. Amanda the bartender is a treat, she is always so fun to talk to and great at remembering what you drink if you start to become a regular. I went here for the first time to participate in the Columbus 10 for 10 winetasting and thoroughly enjoyed my evening. Savor pint is a bar, somewhat of a convenience store, and wine/alcohol store all in one. It definitely seemed to be a poppin' place for the locals as it was pretty much full with people all night. I sat at the bar with my friends and enjoyed sampling 10 very different wines. After, we bought a bottle of our favorite one and enjoyed it at the bar. This place was bumpin on a Tuesday night! We came for a Cabernet tasting event so I'm sure that added to the attendance but there were still a lot of people drinking at the bar, or sitting at the tables eating, drinking and playing games. Love this type of laid back environment. The cab tasting was laid back as well. It was go at your own pace and we got to taste 10 different cabs for about $28 per person. I liked all of them. In fact I liked 4 so much I took them home. Those 4 cab bottles plus a six pack of parsons dry cider was only $85. Nice prices and value here. There was a big selection of wine and beer which I really appreciate. Could use a few more independent ciders... most were big commercialized brands. It's a little far from me but I would certainly make the trip if I wanted to explore some new wine or beers to try! read more

Savor Pint itself was just okay. We came for a wine tasting event that was by 10 for $10 but the price was $20 each through eventbrite. The person running the event, supposedly a sommelier, didn't give ANY information about the wines, other than the "clever" line on the paper listing, even when asked. He said most sommeliers work in high end restaurants and he doesn't because he doesn't want to come off as pretentious. When asked why he chose to do wine tastings, he stated it was because he made three times the amount of his job so he quit that. When asked how he selected the wines for a tasting, he stated he knows what most people like. So much for not being pretentious. Really, he just seemed annoyed to be there and be asked any questions. Rightly so, since we were two of the six people there for the tasting. The pours were tiny -- I mean TINY -- less than a shot! That was okay for us in this instance because the wines were mediocre at best and we dumped half of what we had. The two people who started before us left after three samples and we gave it six tries before calling it a lost cause. Of course, the box of wine should have given us a clue but we really wanted to give it a fair chance. Savor Point did have a large selection of beer and wine so I would go back to peruse and purchase. I would not, however, under any circumstances, go back for a wine tasting by the 10 for $10 columbus -- here or anywhere else. Save your money and your time. read more

I arranged to meet a first date here. It was recommended by a friend as it's quiet, and if the date didn't go well then one of my favorite bars wouldn't be ruined. It looked like there was food or maybe a food truck just in case either of us got hungry without having to go somewhere else. I walked in the door, at the exact time we arranged, to loud sound. Live music night. On a Tuesday. I found this situation hilarious. We hadn't exchanged phone numbers yet so I sent him a quick message in the dating app that a singer was there with his keyboard. There are refrigerated cases with a wide selection of beer and wine along one side. Tables and chairs in the middle. And the bar (with hooks for purses) with stools on the other side. I sampled a few beers before making my choice. $4.00 is the average price for draft beer. What's available is clearly noted along with alcohol content. At one end of the bar was a man and a woman. In the middle was a man glued to his phone, and a little further down three men enjoying their beverages and conversation. I opted to take my drink to a table with chairs. I didn't know how long the music would last but figured it would allow me and my date to talk. The door (I think there's a back entrance too) would chime to let the staff know people were coming and going. The music continued for another 15 or 20 minutes before the singer had a beer and took his keyboard home. The chime is annoying when you're waiting for someone who is late. Music came on and I was glued to my phone as my date still hadn't arrived. I didn't want to stare at the regulars and I could only eavesdrop so much on their conversations. The man glued to the phone was trying to get my attention at one point and asked me about the jukebox. So it sounds like there's a jukebox (with an app) but I never noticed anything noted about it anywhere. I nursed my beer for an hour before deciding my no show date didn't get lost and flaked instead. The bartender was friendly to everyone, and the prices were reasonable. No food but I don't see why they wouldn't let food be delivered. I'm willing to use this for another first date; hopefully my date will show up next time! read more

I truly believe that Savor Pint is the gleaming diamond in the rough amongst the Clintonville bar scene. Their beer selection, both on tap and bottle/can, is unparalleled, ESPECIALLY if you consider the price. Most pours are $4, and they proudly announce it on their pint glasses. Rotating taps keep things interesting, and I've found myself almost always trying something new when I go in. There's probably 20-25 beers on tap, from your standard CBC to limited run kegs you may not see elsewhere in Columbus. The bar-top is massive, and there's almost always somewhere to sit. I've comfortably invited upwards of a dozen people here on a night and we have never found it too crowded. Super kind bartender, low tabs, ample seating, 'neighborhood bar' vibe...what more could you want? read more

Finally, a bar I can walk to. And it's not just any old dive bar (e.g. Rafters). This one has an amazing selection of beers. Plus, you can have wine too with a corkage fee. Service is hit or miss though. I recently had a bartender who just disagreed with every beer choice I made. I mean come on, don't disagree with a paying customer. Lastly, no food but there's pizza delivery from Grandad's and Clintonville Pizza Primo. Classier than Cheers, but they still know your name! What more could you want from an amazing neighborhood bar? It's odd how my past lengthy review of this place disappeared (probably a duplicate business posting issue) but instead of going through it all again, I'll just do helpful bullets: * No wine corkage fee on Sundays; $2 all other days * Beer corkage fee is $1 * They are a bar/carry-out, so they sell bottles of wine, cider, beer, craft beer and also misc snacks * They sell cold beer and cold white wine * Most craft draft at the bar is $4, all day, every day * Currently have 24 beer handles- list can be found on beermenu.com * They now have mixed drinks / cocktails / liquor * They used to have a gyro station (which stunk up the joint and caused me to stop going) but it's gone. YAY! * ...with that said, you can carry-in food. They will at times have a corner setup with soup and sandwiches. Neat little Clintonville local pub and beer and wine purveyor. They have a large selection of 6-packs and wines both in their giant walk in fridge and out on the shelves. We picked up a local brewery's 6-pack to take to dinner with our friends. While we were inside, we found out you can also buy your booze and then pay a (relatively) small fee to sit-and-sip. TVs playing sports (or whatever's on) while you sit at their high-tabs. read more

I love this place which was used to be Savor Market, even though there is less visible freezer space there is still a huge selection of beer. Consistent stock of beer and the employees and owners are very friendly, I have been visiting the store for about 2 years now. The location is convenient for me and where I live. The location does have limited parking space and most of the time I have to reverse directly onto Indianola Ave which is tough to do during those times of the day with heavy traffic. The only thing I wish is that they would hold some more special beer events and releases. I think they could reach out and try to expand within Columbus. Also as a side note I recommend visiting Portia's Cafe which is on the same strip as Savor Pint and their food is great Vegan food. read more

They have an awesome selection, they source lots of local brews and it is right down the street from me - hypothetically should be 5 stars but there are a few things I'm not loving... Price inconsistency - I pay a slightly different price for the same thing every time I go in, whether it's a 6-pack, a lighter, or a bottle of wine. Make sure you look for a sign or tag with the price before you get to checkout and check your receipt. This isn't to say the prices aren't reasonable, however. Growler Fills - I've noticed in the past, but this particular instance was the proverbial straw... got home, ready to pour a pint from the growler we just purchased only to notice the growler was only half full. Admittedly, this is partially my fault for not noticing, but when I pay $20.00 for 64oz. of beer, I want every ounce. Just keep an eye out!! read more

Cheap beer. Good beer! But the atmosphere is bad - bright, only high-top seating, party lights. And I'm pretty sure the bartender was drunk. Ordered a stout and she brought a honey colored beer that was obviously anything but a stout. When I asked if it was a stout she said "yeah," but couldn't remember what I ordered. My husband had to tell her 3 times. Then, when she finally brought the right beer, it was the wrong size. But hey, it was cheap. read more

I have been getting beer here on and off for a few months. My boyfriend suggested we stop in and get a drink on the way home since they have a bar inside. He ordered a beer and I was feeling liquor. The bartender suggested a mixed drink she made before. No doubt it was good but I felt maybe there wasn't enough liquor in it or maybe it was just so good you couldn't taste it. I had her make one more and watched this time. Sure enough she barely poured a shot it it. When I received the bill each mixed drink was $8 each! Needless to say we will never drink at this bar again and probably never buy beer here either. read more

My wife and I have been going to Savor Pint for years...long before they had built the bar. Now we tend to go there every Friday for dinner/beer. A cool place that is evolving daily. Megan and Maria are top-notch bartenders....friendly, know their stuff, and work very hard. They will take good care of you! $4 for most of their large on-tap beer selection. There is usually one 'lite' beer for $2.50 on tap and some of the more exotic brews may run a little more, but most are just $4. Heck, we drank CBC Creeper there for a week recently at $4 a glass! Happy hour shmappy hour! The Matriarch was $6 a glass, but other bars in town were selling the same beer for $10 - $13 a glass! All hours are happy! CBC Bodhi is almost always on-tap at $4 a glass. Lots of great Ohio beers always available on tap (also bottles and cans). Of course, you can get growlers in various sizes. Oh yes.. mixed drinks & wine too. Food is available after 3:00pm most days. This involves an in-house kitchen which seems to rotate budding young chefs and their styles....kind of like a food truck without the truck. It has all been very good so far....we eat their almost every Friday. And if you want something else.....it is a full beer and wine shop with a wall of refrigerators, a huge cold room, lots of great beers at great prices. Even a cigar humidor in the corner. read more

Was there last night for game 4 of the Stanley Cup. The beer selection was fantastic, a focus was on local Ohio beers however the selection was diverse and international. I believe I counted 18 beers on tap which was great! However to sweeten the deal Savor Pint allows its patrons to get beers from their beer cooler/beer cave as well!! I loved this idea as it provided me with an excellent opportunity to try a myriad of new beers without the risk of buying a 6 pack only to find out I don't like it. They do not serve food however the bartender was more than happy to provide a few menus of some nearby places that deliver. All in all its a good place to get a beer with a few friends, hang out, watch some TV and maybe order a pizza. read more

I like this place a lot for its selection and price. Its ambiance is pretty "meh." The place is a little weird if you're used to dives or cocktail bars (the bar is super wide, and there's constant foot traffic from people getting carryout items), but those are things I can overlook when the selection and prices are good. This place takes advantage you. Poor service and overcharged for my happy hour draft. The bartender waited until after I had ordered multiple drafts to tell me that the ones I was getting wasn't on happy hour. This is not clearly marked on their sign especially considering it says "half off drafts" for happy hour and that is all. I will never come here again. read more

This is a chill place to grab a beer. Whether it's one of the several on tap, or something out of their wall-length coolers (self-serve), the selections are plentiful.
