Hey hey hey!!! Was in the area and opted to stop in to this liquor store for a few items for my bar at home. Order: Angostura Orange Bitters & Teremana Reposado small batch Tequila. Pros: There was plenty of items to choose from! I mean they had a great selection of liquor that surpassed what Krogers carry. The also had a significant amount of specialty items for making cocktails as well. The orange bitters is very good and gives extra flavor to your cocktails. I havent cracked open the Teremana Reposado yet; however, I have tried and currently have the the Teremana blanco in my bar, which is really good!!! Cons: price for the bitters was priced a dollar more than Krogers so a little more on the expensive side.

The real stuff! A liquor store has been here, in the great parking lot gulf of Olengtangy Plaza where Bethel Rd terms at 315, as long as I remember. Though I can't remember how many times I have been here or, well, whatever happened on those nights. (I'm grateful, if there was social media in my youth, I would have earned multiple entrees in the viral video hall of fame.) Originally, when law dictated it, it was an Ohio liquor store but I think they change the law. Today it is privately owned but still stacked to the rafters with spirits, wines, and beers of all types, flavors, and qualities. Gift sets (of which was the reason for my latest visit) was aplenty in variety and sizes. The place is a drink enthusiast wonderland. Clean, organized, spacey, the store sparkles with bottles. The variety of labels and graphics vying for attention gives the plain jane, flat area a slight pleasing combo of aesthetics. A wing for wine holding vino from all the favorite place as well as locally concocted sits perpendicular from the stronger juices in front of coolers squaring the boundary. Wines you'll find all the flavors types and vintages. It is an Ok place to grab a bottle but I use it mainly for the hard stuff. And these are spirits at the ABV which defines them (not water down. ) They are cognacs, tequilas, liqueurs, rums, vodkas, whiskeys, and gins. Some brand names found: Hennessy, Jose, Jager, Bacardi, Johnnie, the Captian, and Jack are here. Jim Beam? Hell yeah baby! Baileys? How could it not be? Goose? Whatcha talkin about Willis! Of course. All the popular brands are here. I came for a nice gift set of Crown Royal and found it at the right price. Prices here are about right. All the mixes, chasers, and sweeteners are sold here to make your nightly cocktails. It is a convenient place to supply the fun for a night of destressing and good times. And remember, always drink responsibly--so you can watch and drive around the rest of us while we have an obnoxious good time!

Moldovan wine... Ukrainian beer…read more.. Icelandic beer... Irish mead... Indian beer... Japanese sake... Serbian wine... Polish Beer... Have I piqued your interest? Good, mission accomplished, keep reading... I enjoy sipping on a boozy beverage from time to time and maybe you do too. One of my favorite places to search for new finds is Palmer's, a long time (since 1976) Clintonville favorite. I like this place. It's an adult beverage micro-emporium that markets an interesting mix of beer and wine for the imbibing community. They offer many of the usual standards along with an ever-changing, eclectic mix that's sure to keep most anyone interested. Get to know Emily, the owner / manager / buyer as she's really knowledgeable about their product. She's always helpful and she doesn't have that snobby pretentiousness that you sometimes find in other beer and wine stores. Let's talk about the wine first. You'll find French, Spanish, Italian, German, Chilean, Argentine and American wines here. If you're looking for something that's unique ask Emily about their selection of Moldovan, Serbian or Georgian (the country, not the state) wines. These wines are hidden gems, IE quite good but hard to find. So, if you're looking to impress someone... We need to talk about the beer too. Of course, Palmer's has all the popular North American favorites, but I generally check them out for their interesting selection of microbrews and imports. Palmer's rotates a diverse range of brews from places like: Ireland, England, Scotland, Poland, Mexico, Iceland, Germany, India and yes, even Dayton Ohio, to name just a few. They never stock up heavily on their microbrews and imports so if you see it, you want it, you might want to buy it because it's probably not going to be there next time you visit. I highly recommend this place. 5 very solid stars. And Here's A Little Extra Pour In Your Glass: ** Palmer's is perfectly located. You'll find India Oak Bar and Grill where you can find some of the best subs in Cbus just across the street, Rodo's European restaurant right next door and two great pizza places just up Indianola, Dante's Pizza and Gatto's Pizza. Food and drink all in one convenient spot. What's not to like? ** Wine makes a great gift for birthdays, housewarming, family dinners, holidays, hostess gift or even just a simple appreciation gift. ** Palmer's will give you a 10% discount when you buy 6 or more bottles of wine.

Around OSU you can't get enough beer. I always liked this store better than the shady ones closer…read moreto campus. Palmer's has a better selection of crafts and local stuff. Friendly service is another reason it's better. The prices aren't that bad especially for an independent store. Because it's a smaller place, it doesn't have as much on hand as big stores carry. It makes up for it by having more craft and local. The selection actually is pretty good when looking at how many harder to find brands are in stock. Prices are good. These are comparable with other local stores. It carries a lot of name brands. They also have harder to find varieties of these brands, like stuff that comes out seasonally. It often gets mentioned by many amateur and professional critics alike as the best beer store in Columbus. Prices and the friendly knowledgeable staff have much to do with it. The other reason is the selection they have for an independently owned local store.

Unfortunately, we didn't have any of the ingredients needed to make it fun, if you know what I mean. We searched Yelp and found this spot rather close by. We decided to give it a try and were stoked to find that they were open... and busy at that. They had a great inventory of wine, liquor, beer, etc. and had exactly what we needed, prosecco, schnapps, vodka and fruit puree. I'll also add that despite how busy they were, the staff was great. They helped us find what we were looking for while we wandering around aimlessly trying to find the goods. Prices were right on money, too. I don't live in the area, but my sister does, and I have no doubt we'll be back when need be. #grateful

They have a good selection of stuff (I am a bourbon and cocktail person) but nothing amazing. What really frustrated me was around payment. They charge a fee if you use a card: their prices are the same as other stores who do not charge a fee to use a card. Anyways, I used a debit card and found out, after, I was charged a fee. They did offer to refund my charge and I could pay with cash but I did not have enough cash on me. In my experience, this is the ONLY store I have EVER been charged a fee for using a debit card or credit card. It just feels greedy.
