Love stopping here on a nice day. Their drink menu is very large with changing offers for beers, cocktails and non alcoholic options. Love bringing our dogs to sit here and enjoy a beautiful day.
Love you can get some of the stylings from the Athens-based brewery right in Columbus. And the space makes it a place for lots of occasions. My two times there have been for receptions, one large in the enormous upstairs area and another at the slightly set off high tops area looking out on Fourth Street. So definitely a good downtown spot for events. Three types of sliders and drink vouchers made it easy to network and get something to eat. I was also able to have a pre-event meeting with folks planning to attend. We chose one of the outdoor tables that are covered and available in different size options. They have a full bar out on the patio so you aren't stuck trying to get the attention of a server focused on inside patrons.
I don't often delve into the breweries in Ohio as I usually am pulled away to other destinations and states. But I did get to try a beer from Jackie O's and I was very, very impressed with it. Steve has had their beer before and liked what he had but it was only recently for me when I got to try a beer from here. The beer I had was the Iron Furnace which was a very flavorful and fun Barleywine. A type of beer I don't get often. The ABV on this one was high. Just over 14% which makes this beer a good one to share. Flavor features in this beer are lovely and you can taste Maple, Vanilla and a nice natural sweetness. The beer is nice and smooth which makes this one a real joy to drink... but I definitely recommend sharing it!
It was 60 degrees the other day so obviously had to check out Jackie O's patio. Not only are the on tap beers, but their bar staff is always so friendly every time I go in. I wasn't expecting them to have any happy hour deals but the beers on tap were actually 50% off! A very nice surprise. I'm definitely coming back during the summer. I hear they have corn hole during the warmer months.
We had drinks, what a fun place to hang and have a drink. TVs everywhere and seating was perfect with high and low tops. Bartenders are engaging and made an impact on my choice.
One of the best breweries in Columbus. This place is brewing, some of the finest craft beer in the city. A great selection of IPAs and some of the best barleywines around. This place is broken up into several sections. There's a quiet seating area upfront, there's a large section by the bar with TVs. They have booths, table tops, upstairs seating, and outdoor seating. You name it they have it. This place is a must visit when in the area.
Went for a quick lunch bite and beer and it definitely didn't disappoint! I love the space and the patio. Even better that there's plenty of tables and seating, but a large portion being covered is even better. Love the shipping container outdoor bar, too. Got sammies from Goood Friends (built-in ordering window towards the back of the patio) and a Razz Wheat (because it's summer, of course!) Eoman working the food counter was super friendly! The bartender was solid and I had zero complaints. Love it and def will be back!
You haven't tried this place yet? Are you kidding? Have you ever been to Jackie'Os in Athens? Well this place has it beat 100 fold! It is an extension of Jackie'Os in Athens, but it is amped up on adrenaline and positive vibes! The diversity of the types of beer is off the charts! My personally love barrel, aged and dark beers, and there are so many delicious ones. It's hard to make a choice. You like lighter beers? They've got that as well. If you have somebody visiting you from out of town, you've got to bring them here! Such a great way to feel the city of Columbus and get great beer!
Stopped by Jackie O's for drinks and really enjoyed it. The Rickey was refreshing, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed, and it's a great place to grab a drink with friends. I'll definitely be back.
Another great craft brewery in the heart of downtown. Amazing space to hang out with friends and enjoy some great beers. They do an amazing job with their beer selection and are a welcome addition to Columbus. Plenty of seating inside and out. Two stories inside with typical bar seating and lounge chairs upstairs. The outside environment makes this place. Great views of Columbus skyline while you sit around fire pits or in one of their creative areas. Big screens everywhere for watching games. They also have amazing food available from Good Friends. Service is ok. About what you would expect from a bar. Super fun location. Get your friends and give them a try.
What a fun environment, especially when there are sporting events going on! This is amazing place has some great beers and even has a good restaurant attached to it!
Some form of Caesar salad is a must have on any quality menu in my opinion and this one delivered! Whoever decided to crossover buffalo + Caesar salad on a wrap deserves a raise because this one makes the hall of fame. Also this picture doesn't do it justice because it is MASSIVE. 10/10 would order again and would recommend!!
I don't know. This was underwhelming for me, but maybe just not my scene? I think it looked bigger and cooler in pictures. In real life, I thought the building resembled a prison cell block and the views were not as epic as expected. Anyways, on to the drinks and service. For me, those were not great either. Staff seemed bored and checked out. Cocktail was served in a little tiny water glass with tons of ice. The seating, firepits and swings are cool. I could see it being a good spot to meet up with a group of friends. Food truck was onsite and they also have the "Goood Friends" walk up food window.
Located in the arena district, there is a small lot and street parking available. Indoor and outdoor seating and bars available, each offering a slightly different menu. We sat in the beer garden and it had a cool vibe. Repurposed things like drainage culverts and a shipping container. Multi-level seating, fire puts, swings, covered areas - it kind of offers it all. Staff was friendly and accommodating, answering any questions we had. We ordered the Bees Knees (a light ale with honey) and a Cherry Lime Seltzer, both were great. Gooood Friends kitchen is located in the beer garden if you want food, also recommend! read more

Jackie O's is a great patio bar in downtown. Very spacious both indoor and outdoors. Lots of tables especially a good place for large groups. Due to having several bars, the wait is minimal. Since I'm not a beer drinker, I enjoyed their craft cocktails. I wanted to try the adult slushies but they were still "in progress" when I went to the bar the first time. Live music in the evenings with plenty of space to dance around in. Staff was super nice and the tables were always being cleared quickly. Food is available via Gooood Friends (another review) so that makes you stay awhile. Can't wait to come back when it's a bit more sunnier. read more

One word - WOW - they really turned this into a super magical place. From the outrageous two story patio, art murals, and firepits to the big screen out back, the several bars scattered throughout, and just the overall vibe, Jackie O's got it going on! As an OU student, it's really cool to see what started as a small brewery in Athens turn into this gorgeous location in the heart of downtown with an epic line up of beers and cocktails. Love to see the classic Razz Wheat still on the menu. I've only been twice, but I legit went two days back to back. That's how awesome it was. I had to show my friends! Honestly, I'm not a beer drinker... but to my surprise they have some really great cocktails. I can't remember the names of the ones I tried off the top of my head but one had lavender in it - which I'm a sucker for. I've attached some photos, they might help. If you're looking for a bite to eat while sipping on your cold one, Goood Friends is in the back and they serve burgers and sandwiches. I didn't try the food but my friend did and he said it was pretty darn goood! ;) I have no doubt that I'll be back soon and I highly suggest you pay them a visit... even if beer isn't really your thing. It's a great spot for a date night and/or drinks with friends and another perk, it's just a few steps from PINS so you can bounce around a bit on 4th street. read more
Bar doors open to air in the front at sidewalk. Very laid back atmosphere with seating inside with booths or industrial long tables and chairs. Full bar inside. The outside patio is on the side and hidden from the street. Plenty of tables out there - the patio very cool - with full bar at back. Plenty of lighting and very cool feel. It's a great space. There is no wait staff, so you order food online and they text you when it's ready and it's served in a big white shopping bag. The food was aaaamazing!!!! Tomato sandwich, burger with blend of mushrooms and walleye fish sandwich. We ordered wings as well - those were the special of the day. HUGE and crispy. Everything was outstanding. Beer and drinks are unique (and great) to Jackie O's. They have a nod to OU on a sign - that's where it originates from. Very cool. Very chill place to go with a group or just for a date nite. read more

I met Gwen W here, and luckily is was early enough we both got spots in their lot. I grabbed a booth, and went to the bar for a cocktail. We came for the food from the Goood Foods window, but I had a really good cocktail. The name was Sweat Weatha. The bartender was kind, and the space was pretty great. read more

I've loved Jackie O's since grad school. I had visited the main location in Athens. Such a great brewery! They've taken over the former Elevator brewery space. It's so large! Tons of seating outside, inside, upstairs, downstairs. The bar area is also inside and outside on the first floor. No lines when I came. Lots of TVs for the soccer game too. I got the Ricky. A light golden ale. Refreshing! They do sell merch here. You can buy beer glasses and clothes. Not busy for a Sunday afternoon. A good number of people, but still a lot of open tables. Tons of parking around too. Mostly paid parking lots across the street. They do have a tiny parking lot but it fills up fast. When we came, their kitchen hadn't opened yet. Can't wait to come back to eat and drink! read more
Perfect spot for a cold beverage on a sunny day. If you're hungry, there's a food truck on site. There's ample indoor and outdoor seating and a fair amount of off street parking. While there wasn't table service, those we interacted with were attentive and helpful. read more
We have been to other Jackie O's locations. But this one was by far the best. When you walk in, you don't realize how big this place is! But as you explore you realize it's absolutely huge! There is a great rooftop area and an outdoor area. There are several levels. And multiple bar areas. We came during the day but I think it would be an absolute blast at night. Great beers! Looking for the premiere brew party, rather it's just for fun or after work, Jackie O's got it all for you. I have seen this place get completed for a while every time I drive home from work. I absolutely love the design of this place. It has a lot of the brutalist steelwork and wood that you've seen in most of the newer, larger bars. But hear me out, the design here actually works for it. There is seating everywhere! Long-finished wood tables and fitted seat booths all along the inside of the building with the bathrooms in the back along with standing room near all the bar areas. Plenty of space for groups and doggos. Bring your pups! And there is a private space for events if needed. The Athen's brewhouse has a lot to offer. With crowds who are as diverse and LGBQIA+ friendly, no wonder why everyone comes here. And let me tell ya,... parking is no joke. Get there early or carpool if you can. I got into the wrong lot and moving to find a spot was a hassle but that is a city issue. LOL. read more

I remember seeing pictures of Jackie-O's when it first opened and thinking, holy cow that place looks sweet! Well, I've since been a handful of times and the layout definitely meets expectations. They have so many different areas to sit and hang out, both indoors and out. They have tables for small or large parties as well. Even with the variety and large, two story layout, this place gets packed! Good for business, but sometimes difficult for customers (long lines at the bars). They brew all their own beers, which I didn't realize at first. But when you walk in the main entrance, to the left you will see the large brewing tanks. I've tried a few of the different beers and found my favorite to be 'Endless Echos' which is a hazy IPA. In addition, they have roughly 25 different ones to choose from, so I'm sure there is something for every type of beer drinker. Also, they have self-serve water on both floors, so don't stand in line at the bar waiting to order a water (I made that mistake the first time). They don't have their own kitchen, but there is a bagel food truck parked outside adjacent to the first floor patio. I haven't tried the bagel sandwiches yet, but they look pretty good. I've also heard rumors that Wario's might be vying for a food truck spot at Jackie-O's which would be awesome. Overall, Jackie-O's is definitely worth checking out, but if you go on the weekend, expect it to be rather crowded. read more

Jackie O's is a great place to be (or visit) in Columbus. There is a small lot beside Jackie O's on 4th with an outside entrance off the parking lot where you could easily roll a bicycle or stroller through the parking lot gate. There is a relaxing outdoor space, with plenty of communal seating. From swings to high or low top tables. Outside is also a dog friendly space. Upstairs is wheel chair accessible with a ramp to the top. In addition to the inside bars there are two bars outside, one lower level and one upstairs. The beers on tap and cocktails/mixed drinks differ from the inside bars and outside ones however your tab is good at all bars! Don't have enough time to stop and hang out? No worries the front is easily set up for grab and go. P.S. If you need to charge your device(es) don't fret! The booths downstairs all have outlets and the lower outdoor space has a fair amount of outlets. read more

Even in November, the outdoor space is where it's at. From swings, to couches, to benches, to secluded booths, to open seating fire pits, to TVs, to heat lamps, to the well-placed bars, it's impossible to have a bad time. Indoors was impressive as well, especially the upstairs which was slightly more loungy and grown-up than its downstairs counterpart. There was a diverse selection of beer which one would expect. I stayed away from the ones that I knew (Mystic Mama and my favorite Who Cooks For You) to try the Thunder Island IPA (fine) and Cherry Livelihood (good). College football and CBJ were on the large number of TVs inside and outside. I could have explored the space and the menu all day! read more

Damn. Wow. What an absolutely killer statement from Athens-based Jackie O's right here in the heart of Columbus. So as an Ohio University alumni I've got a big heart for Jackie O's. But I don't want to let that cloud my judgement too much here so I'm doing my best to review Jackie O's on 4th from a less biased point of view. And my review is Let's talk about how big this place is to start. It's huge. Is there a larger bar in Columbus? I'm not sure. Most of the venue is outdoors but there is ample seating inside as well. Certainly the outdoor space is the feature. There are two bars - one outside and one inside. As of today the inside bar serves more saisons, barrel aged stouts, and similar beers whereas the outdoor bar serves more IPAs. Both bars move pretty quickly and are well staffed so don't be deterred if you walk by and see what appears to be the most people you've ever seen at a bar. Today Bagel Street Deli (an Athens staple) has a food truck set up right near the entrance and eventually Wario's (a local favorite) will be a permanent feature too. The beers are great. Obviously. If you aren't sure just go try them. Nothing much else to say about that. They do have a bottle shop too so you can take your favorite craft barrel aged stout to go. Highly recommend. So I'm summary I'm very excited and impressed by Jackie O's on 4th. From the decor to the layout and of course the beer and expanding food options this is a legit Columbus destination you HAVE to try. Oh and you'll probably see lots of OU t-shirts. OU! We were bar hopping on a Friday and decided to try Jackie O's. The place is amazing and I loved the different levels and views. It was packed for a Friday as expected but we're able to find a table up to outside. Had a few drinks each and it was an awesome place to talk, chill and people watch. I would recommend for just about any get together with friends or just having a drink with your person. Everyone was friendly. read more

This place is amazing. Huge space with many bars, rooms, levels, and environments. Jackie O beers are some of my favorites. They have a great barrel aged program, rivaling goose island. Friendly and helpful service. Can't wait to go back. read more
Such a cool atmosphere!! They have two shipping containers that are used as outdoor bars, plenty of patio seating - with beautiful views! Lots of taps Indoor seating too (air conditioning) - plenty of it. They do not have food, but there is a food truck there and they are going to collaborate with a restaurant next door to offer a walk up window. Amazing people - so helpful! Great service !
