Came here with a friend of mine on 9/20/2025 as a belated birthday celebration. We had reservations so we were able to be seated immediately. We were determined to come here before the 9/25 deadline because of this location getting relocated. For drinks, I had the rum punch, passion fruit margarita then a shot. We decided to get shrimp tacos, dumplings, and chips and Guacamole as our starters. The main meal consisted of the Salmon burger with sweet potato fries and my friend had the pasta. I have mixed feelings about Savoi Latin Bistro. It definitely has the potential to be a 5-star spot, but a few things need to be tweaked, in my opinion. I came across Savoi's social media page when they were advertising "Wine Wednesday," and the promo looked pretty appealing in the video. It was marketed as offering $5 hookah, a $25 wine flight, $5 glasses of wine, and $20 bottles. When we arrived, the wine prices were accurate--but the hookah was actually $15, not $5. A $10 difference is significant and, frankly, that's false advertising. The bistro has two floors, but on Wednesdays (and possibly other days), the lower level--which serves as their lounge and reportedly features a DJ--is closed. That was disappointing, especially since it seems to be a big part of the vibe they promote online. Looking at the menu, I was surprised by the pricing. Entrées ranged from about $25 to $40, and appetizers were around $15 to $18. For a place that leans more toward a lounge experience with a relatively limited menu, those prices felt too steep--comparable to some Michelin-starred restaurants. I understand costs like rent and payroll, but the value just didn't align for me. We had a glass of rosé, which leaned tart, and a wine flight that included sangria--thankfully, the sangria was really good. For food, we ordered the calamari, wings, and steak nachos. The calamari and wings were solid, but the nachos could've used more steak and definitely more sour cream--they were a bit dry for my taste. We also tried the hookah, which was enjoyable, and a refill was $10. One thing to note: there's a 20% gratuity automatically added to all bills, and 22% for parties of seven or more. I understand the reasoning, especially post-COVID, but I personally don't agree with applying an automatic gratuity to small parties of three or less. I wish more places would reconsider that policy for smaller groups. Overall, I had a nice time, but for what's being offered, the pricing doesn't quite match up. This bi-level restaurant was a perfect place for my friends to do a Friendsgiving. We had a large party and sat downstairs conveniently where the DJ was playing great music for all. They lost a star for the customer service in the end . The food was delicious and filling and DJ was really good. Huge portions, seasoned-to-perfection bites, and endless drinks for $49 (thanks to Pulsd)! brought the perfect mix of great food, drinks, and vibes! $2 Tuesdays!?! This place reminded me of my college days with their $2 margarita, hookah & food options. I don't even smoke hookah, but I had to indulge because it was too good not to. Notes- come early as the place was jam packed and if my friend didnt come upstairs to grab me they wouldn't let me in. Second- don't expect to hold a conversation. We stopped by Savoi around 4pm because the outside decor looked really inviting--very cute and stylish. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of our visit. There was only one server working when we arrived, and no one greeted us, so we had to seat ourselves. Once we sat down, we noticed the floor under our table was dirty, with a used plastic cup and straw just sitting there. A fly kept buzzing around our table, which got so annoying we decided to move--but the new table was super wobbly. We ended up having to stuff napkins under it just to keep it from rocking. I ordered the strawberry lemonade, and it honestly tasted sour and kind of dirty, like it had been sitting out too long. To make matters worse, someone from the bar came over three separate times asking if we wanted hookah--even after we said no the first time. It felt intrusive and pushy. Oh, and my friend found something floating in her water. Really disappointing overall. Once your done with that the host gives the option of the main floor where it's calm and vibey or the basement that is set as a lounge hookah area with a live Dj which was nice to know. The calamari was just ok - a little tough for my liking, but the empanadas were perfect. I ordered the steak & eggs for my main. I asked that the steak be medium-well; it came out well done, but was still pretty tender and flavorful. Now to the main event: the bottomless drinks. Even being on the waiting list was not a turned off, but when we got in and sat at a middle table in between the bar and other tables getting knocked around and having to constantly move, I was very irritated. I think my friend and I were the only people eating a full meal. I'm not a smoker so I did not like the hookah smoke while I was eating. The hostess was not accommodating, even when another table became available so that we can comfortably eat our food. This location to a crowd that is either pregaming or looking for after hours; food is not there money maker. The food that we ordered was tasty. Every course came at the same time which was cumbersome at the already small table. I probably wouldn't go back, especially at night maybe in the afternoon as we went on a Tuesday and it was packed! I experienced The Savoi this past Friday night as a guest at a private event. Had an absolute blast! Everything happened on the lower level of the restaurant. The bartenders were as busy as bees all night serving big, boozy drinks. The hookah (cash only) was phenomenal and burned really slow. I ordered two dishes after my tipsy vibe set in- cheesy diced plantains with ground beef and shrimp in tomato sauce. The plantains and beef was delicious. My shrimp dish was a fail. It was literally ice cold, like the chef forgot to run it through the microwave after taking it out of the fridge. I was so full of good liquor though, I ate it anyway. The staff and owner were all SUPER friendly and seemed to be having a really good time mingling with the crowd. Prices were much lower than I expected. Good stuff. This weekend, my friends and I stopped by Savoi to celebrate a successful NYFW event of a Friend of mine. The upstairs decor has a girly aesthetic and the downstairs is more urban, with neon lights and graffiti on the walls. They have photo worthy areas ladies! Our server, Jadyln was great, she was able to serve us all! In addition to handling our large party, she was alone handing all parties in the downstairs section. For drinks, my friends and I started with a pitcher of the "Salsa Con Fuego" [6/10]. Then we ended up with the Rum Punch [7.5/10]. The rum punch was definitely a favorite amongst our group. A fun fact: all the alcohol from here is wine based ! For Food, I ended up getting "Mussel Con Chorizo", [8/10] it was good, just wanted a tad bit more mussels, because the amount of Chorizo, outnumbered the Mussels. For the Hookah lovers, there is hookah ($35) & it's cash only. The refills were $25. I was feeling a bit bold, so I finished out with a "Diabla" [8/10], which I liked a lot! The music was a playlist, but it was a mix of update Latin Music, Afrobeats, and Hip-Hop, and it kept us moving. In all, I want to come back because I did enjoy my time here! Stopped by for brunch they have 2 levels. Upstairs is bright and seems more low key. Downstairs is dark with graffiti walls. We ordered bottomless drinks and the tower which comes with 3 tiers of food and is suppose to feed 2-3 ppl... Bottom tier: 4 pieces of waffle (or a whole waffle) and 3 triangle pieces of French toast (or a slice and a half). Middle tier: bacon, a serving of scrambled eggs and 5 pieces of sausage Top tier: mixed fruit I'm my opinion the tower feeds 1.5 ppl at best. We left still hungry. I went at 2:20pm today, on a Thursday, and it was just my self and a colleague. I absolutely loved the vibe of it being empty and I know it was probably a fluke lol. I mean, this place is absolutely amazing! The staff is extremely kind and tried to accommodate me because I bought the brunch deal off of Pulsd, however, they only have brunch Friday-Sunday. I decided to keep the deal and save it so I can go back!!! The rum punch is good and would definitely work for bottomless brunch; you can't even tell there's liquor in it. This does not mean that it was too light on liquor, I'm a drinker. Lol. I had the chuletas entree and subbed the yellow rice for moro because I love this type of rice. I promise you, it will not disappoint! I ate all my food. I love that they gave me 2 maduros (sweet plantain) because, while I like it, I'm more of a tostones kind of gal. Everything was cooked well, seasoned well, and presented (I moved the cebollas off the chuletas) beautifully. Again, I have to give light to how kind the staff were. Once we were on our way out, another two people came in so I'm guessing 4pm and after is when this place begins to really pick up. There were 5 of us and we paid about $60 each which would be great if the food was good but.. it was disappointing. Our drinks were $18 and they only offer wine infused alcohol. I got the lavada drink, the waitress told me that it would be purple but it came out the color of apple juice... okay ( maybe because I ordered a virgin version of it ? ) . The food took a while to come out and when it did, it was so salty! Everyone at the table said that EVERYTHING was salty! The eggs, the potatoes, the steak.. just a salty mess. The waitresses were both sweet but God bless their hearts, they were so confused. They brought our extra plates to a different table and keep telling us that they forgot what we asked them for ( extra utensils, water, ect. ) they would leave and then come back to our table and say " I'm so sorry, I forgot" - this happened about 4 times. After an hour I really started to wonder if this was a new restaurant because nothing ran smoothly at all. Came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was a full house so make sure you have a reservation. Also, parking can be tricky. The staff are lovely. Atmosphere is a great vibe with nice music. A little loud but not uncomfortable. You can easily have a conversation. The food was good and the service was too. They take nice pictures for purchase and aren't pushy at all. Went to Savoi with my family for dinner we all brought a Plusd voucher it was 2 meals and app and a drink for $69 .. so off that back the deal was great , BUTTTT we got there for around a quarter to five, because we were told that dinner stated at 5pm but in all actuality it started at 6pm .. so we waited which was ok we went and did an errand real quick . but when we got back at a quarter to six thinking we would be seated and served because they knew we'd be back .. but we waited about 15 min more before we was seated and people were still there for brunch .. NOW granted it was a holiday weekend the place was packed compared to how I've seen it in there any other times I went. There had to be like 5 people working there and that's including the owner who was cleaning, sitting , serving and making drinks.. It was extremely understaffed (then I find out its under new management , so that made sense in a way why the service lacked!!) BUT i will say the manager was very pleasant and gave us an extra drink on the house which was nice then she came and said that both drinks were on the house which again was really nice (SB: but we had already paid for our drinks when you think about it cause we already pre paid ) now lets get into the meal so majority of the table ordered steak, mash potatoes and asparagus .. so the steak was good the mash was good but the asparagus was over cooked didn't have a bite to it like care for my asparagus to be cooked ... for apps we got wings asked for buffalo and got sweet chilly instead which no lie was good so it was a appreciated mistake ... the drinks were pretty good as well left tipsy over all this experience going to Savoi was different from the other times i went .. food was still good the service thou was LACK LUSTERED .. I've found a brunch spot that's definitely earning its place in my Top 10 NYC favorites. The Ambiance ? Gravitating The service? Impeccable! The food? Oh boy, I'm drooling just thinking about it! I devoured lobster mac and cheese that was cheesier than my jokes and a breakfast tower that could've fed a small army (but I bravely took it on solo).
