I received several responses mostly marketing their multi-month plans for rodent services and I responded to all. Of all the companies, only one stood out and that was DOA Pest control. Brian was the name of the representative I spoke with. When I explained my frustratingly ineffective efforts, he responded to me "Well let me give you some helpful pointers then". That phrase alone eased so much anxiety for me. Brian proceeded to have a text exchange with me where he patiently listened to my concerns and offered me both pointers on what I was doing wrong and tips to go about it a bit differently. So I heeded his advice, reset the traps and within 36 hours of this exchange *BAM* I caught the mouse. Cue Cece Peniston - Finally it has happened to me!(more like it has happened to that mouse) I want to be clear, I didn't actually hire this company, but DOA and Brian were absolutely essential to this outcome. I'd like to also point out that Brian was this helpful at after 9:00pm at night to a person who hadn't paid his company a dime. I am truly grateful for his patience and helpfulness. Hopefully, I won't need to contract his company in the future. But if I do, I will bypass all the other companies that spent their time trying to sell me a package I didn't need. Instead, if I see a rodent in my home, I am going to give DOA Pest Control a call immediately. If you have a rodent problem, I would humbly encourage you to do the same.

Great service! Blake came out to help with our mice problem. We started with some traps to see if…read morethat would resolve the issue. Sadly, it did not. We had to do more. We called Blake out again to which he set more traps, identified entry points around the outside of the house, and sealed everything up. He was kind, polite, and very knowledgeable. He showed us what he was doing and why. I personally love when I learn the "why". After sealing up the house, he came back 2 weeks later to check on the traps and see how things were going. Their service comes with a solid warranty and any new critters we encounter, just give them a call and they'll come out to check, diagnose, and fix. They only performed 2 and refuse to refund the rest…read more I hired Earth Pest Control after one of my tenants reported roaches coming into their apartment from a neighboring unit. Earth Pest Control quoted me $550 for the service. Their email specifically stated that the service included the initial visit plus 4 follow up visits, for a total of 5 visits. I paid the $550 and they coordinated scheduling directly with my tenant. About a year later, I discovered they had only come out twice. The other 3 visits I paid for were never performed. I reached out four separate times asking what happened and received no response. I finally called them today and was told they apparently couldn't reach the tenant, so they simply stopped trying. The problem is that I was the customer who paid them $550. Nobody contacted me to tell me they were having trouble scheduling. Nobody told me they were discontinuing the service. Nobody offered to reschedule the remaining visits. When I asked them to either honor the 3 remaining visits or refund me for the services they never performed, they refused. That's unacceptable to me. If you sell a customer a package of 5 visits and only perform 2, you don't just keep the money for the other 3 because you had trouble reaching the tenant. At a minimum, you contact the person who hired and paid you. Unfortunately, they have chosen not to honor the service I paid for. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Earth Pest Control.

Tuesday I saw a few very small, tiny ants and watched for a few days and then I had to call them. They came back right away to spray the inside of the house. Luis was our technician and he was extremely knowledgeable and gave us some very good tips! He not only sprayed, but put some bait down as well. Peter was really great! I was surprised with an infestation that put me into a panic attack. He…read moreresponded quickly, talking me through what I needed to do, and arranged to come out the next day--the Sunday before Thanksgiving nonetheless! When he arrived, he talked me through the entire procedure,his eco safe products, how they work, as well as his success rate with this type of infestation (which had been 100% for all of 2018 by that point), when all of his post spraying directions are followed for two weeks until he returned for a follow up. He was very patient and friendly though my mind was still in panic mode. I was able to text or message him anytime with questions (which I did once my mind was able to calm down and think more clearly). I actually emailed him an entire list of 10-12 questions that I thought of a couple days later; and he answered each one thoroughly to assuage my concerns. We easily texted to schedule the 2nd appointment exactly 2 weeks later, which was a much quicker follow-up spraying. So after years of listening to my husband say he'd treat our house for Chicago's worst inhabitants: carpenter ants, I put my foot down and demanded a professional pest service. --Lucky for the door-to-door ProActive salesman who happened to catch me in the front yard the next day! ;) I never ever sign up for services at my doorstep, but he caught me feeling vulnerable due to a poor night's sleep, waiting for another ant to crawl on me. I signed up and had a technician just a few days later. I've been using them for nearly two years now and I never see spiders or ants in the interior or wasp nests on the exterior. They come 4 times a year and will come out immediately if I spot pests. Sometimes they spray inside but they always spray a barrier around the outside. Good thing because I don't share my bed with just anybody.
