We called Blake out again to which he set more traps, identified entry points around the outside of the house, and sealed everything up. He was kind, polite, and very knowledgeable. He showed us what he was doing and why. I personally love when I learn the "why". After sealing up the house, he came back 2 weeks later to check on the traps and see how things were going. Their service comes with a solid warranty and any new critters we encounter, just give them a call and they'll come out to check, diagnose, and fix. It's not the cheapest to get your house sealed up, but worth it with the extra home visits and warranty. Highly recommend!

Didn't know where the ants were coming from and I started putting terro baits up. While they were dying in the trap, it seemed never ending. A full month had passed and decided to get a quote. While the other company was $100 cheaper, there were way more reviews for ecotech and the price of ecotech included a second visit if needed (we didn't need it!). The technician, Pete P. came on time and sent a text when he was on the way. Was straight to the point and was checking where they were congregating. He answered the many questions I had and was courteous. He let us know to give it 2 weeks and if we still saw them, to give them a call. I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to catch a mouse for about a month…read more Enuff!!!!!!! I put in a request for pest termination here on Yelp. I received several responses mostly marketing their multi-month plans for rodent services and I responded to all. Of all the companies, only one stood out and that was DOA Pest control. Brian was the name of the representative I spoke with. When I explained my frustratingly ineffective efforts, he responded to me "Well let me give you some helpful pointers then". That phrase alone eased so much anxiety for me. Brian proceeded to have a text exchange with me where he patiently listened to my concerns and offered me both pointers on what I was doing wrong and tips to go about it a bit differently. So I heeded his advice, reset the traps and within 36 hours of this exchange *BAM* I caught the mouse. Cue Cece Peniston - Finally it has happened to me!(more like it has happened to that mouse) I want to be clear, I didn't actually hire this company, but DOA and Brian were absolutely essential to this outcome. I'd like to also point out that Brian was this helpful at after 9:00pm at night to a person who hadn't paid his company a dime. I am truly grateful for his patience and helpfulness. Hopefully, I won't need to contract his company in the future. But if I do, I will bypass all the other companies that spent their time trying to sell me a package I didn't need. Instead, if I see a rodent in my home, I am going to give DOA Pest Control a call immediately. If you have a rodent problem, I would humbly encourage you to do the same.

After a two week vacation, I returned to find carpenter ants all over my kitchen and a couple even in my bed. No Bueno. So after years of listening to my husband say he'd treat our house for Chicago's worst inhabitants: carpenter ants, I put my foot down and demanded a professional pest service. --Lucky for the door-to-door ProActive salesman who happened to catch me in the front yard the next day! ;) I never ever sign up for services at my doorstep, but he caught me feeling vulnerable due to a poor night's sleep, waiting for another ant to crawl on me. I signed up and had a technician just a few days later. I've been using them for nearly two years now and I never see spiders or ants in the interior or wasp nests on the exterior. They come 4 times a year and will come out immediately if I spot pests. Sometimes they spray inside but they always spray a barrier around the outside. Good thing because I don't share my bed with just anybody.
