I have been coming here for years and been a happy customer but recently my husband started to notice bright almost highlighter looking spots on his dress shirts. I asked the owner about it and he said it must have been something my husband left in his pocket, NOPE he never puts anything in his shirt pocket. Then the same color spots started to pop up in other places, for sure some sort chemical stain or maybe starch?!?! Today my husband pointed out yet ANOTHER shirt with a bright spot on the shoulder, IM DONE with this place. They have now ruined a half dozen shirts and I feel like I gave them plenty of opportunities to fix and they blamed it on us. If you care about your clothes DO NOT GO HERE! read more

Go somewhere else! I brought in a brand new coat with a hoodie that has that fluffy material on the edges. I brought it in specifically because I didn't want to mess it up. When I come pick it up, not only are the tips of the hoodie literally BURNED OFF at the edges but they have the nerve to tell me I owe $4 extra for the feather material! Sad to say that after many years coming here, I will not be returning. I will take my business elsewhere. read more

For some reason the same day shirts for 99 cents hasn't caught on in salinas... unlike everywhere else in the world since 1910.. This is the cheapest ($1.50 for laundry, $2.50 for dry) place i am aware of in salinas, you pay up front, and pickup same day. Bring cash or a check for quick service. read more

Are you kidding me? They give a little discount for paying cash up front. Went in to drop off about $80 worth of dry cleaning. They rang me up and it turned out that I didn't have enough cash. I asked if I could pay cash upon pick up -NO. I told them I would run to the ATM and be back in 5 min. The poor attendant had to go ask. -NO The owner's son, whose identity I learned from the attendant, then (quite rudely as he was working in the back) told me to look around at how busy they were and that they could not keep a computer station blocked. He looked pissed. There was only one other customer in the store at the time and two empty computers. I told him that I have been coming there for years, and that I just handed him $80 worth of business. He then ignored me. I will not take my clothes back there. I think Papa Save-On needs to teach his little boy how to run a business. read more

We went to this place for dry cleaning since it was cheap but we took two of my husbands suit jackets for alterations and it took over a week to get back and one was done incorrectly...went back to get it fixed and they REFUSED to redo it and refused a refund...bad customer service which is a shame because usually everyone is so nice...they lost our business today. read more

Way to go!! This place is great! Low prices, quick and friendly service. Your dry-cleaning is even cheaper if you pay cash. They do require payment when you drop your items off, but accept credit cards, AND your items are ready the next day - even if you drop your stuff off late in the day. Had my favorite Joe jeans re-stitched and patched and a perfect original hem on my TR jeans (Triple stitch hem) for a really good price. read more

They do a good job on the dry cleaning but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.. i know it is "just a dry cleaners" but it would be nice if the staff greeted you with a smile and had some energy. Almost every employee speaks so softly and quietly that i can barely hear them, they never say "hi, how can i help you?" with any sort of enthusiasm in their voice.. they look like they are in mourning. The girl today just handed me my receipt.. didn't say when my items would be ready (maybe i should just know).. I was reminded today why i stopped coming here.. the least you can do is greet your patrons with a smile and a thank you! read more

Affordable, efficient and effective. For the cash price this place is a life saver, I maybe spend $25 a month. I've maybe waited 10 minutes max, always less for drop off or pick up. I bring in my jackets and pants for dry cleaning, my shirts for laundering; and anything to be tailored which is sent out. The ladies are efficient and effective, explaining cost efficient and best care methods for the clothes. Sometimes my clothes are even ready early. Out of the 2 times I've been here and the 28 shirts and 16 suits I've only had one issue. One pair of pants had a minor tear where a 1 inch seam came undone in the waist and was marked with an already damaged tag. I only wish I was told during pick up so I could have sent it for tailoring. Thank you. I will continue to return. read more

This is a Top Notch Business! I've been coming here for many years and I have always been pleased with the service. Today, however, they went above and beyond my expectations! I called the business this morning and spoke with Bill (owner.) I was following up on a silk shirt (I thought) I dropped off. It turns out that I dropped my shirt in the parking lot. It was turned in by a customer. Not only did Save On keep this anonymous shirt but they cleaned it without payment or knowledge of the owner of the shirt. And the cherry on top... they didn't even charge me for cleaning the shirt! I am so impressed by their level of honesty and professionalism that I will continue to be a loyal customer. Horrible customer service. We used this dry-cleaner for years, as my husbands uniforms are dry-clean only. My husband took in a dry-clean only blazer for me and the girl said they wouldn't clean it because its not real suede. Its not even faux suede so I don't know why they wouldn't clean it? Its just a blazer. But whatever. That's the not the worst of their customer service. No matter what time I dropped things off, 5pm was the pickup time. Now I'd come in multiple times around 2pm to pick up my husband's uniforms and it was never a problem, they were usually ready and no one ever said anything about coming in before 5pm OR needing to pay a rush fee since I picked them up early. A few times, they weren't ready yet and since he had to be at work at 2:30pm, I'd said that I would have to take the uniforms in whatever condition they were in. A few times the clerk had an issue with my request but I was given the uniforms without a hassle. Something must have changed because picking up your dry cleaning early is now a big problem. One day in early April, I went in at 2pm to pick them up. My husband had dropped them off the day before but I didn't know that. I thought he done it a few days earlier so I wasn't expecting to be told they weren't ready yet. Anyway, I was helped by a very rude young girl who told me they weren't ready. I said thats fine, please just give them to me however they are, my husband has to be at work at 2:30 so I need them now. And she didn't want to give them to me! We went back and forth over it and she finally got huffy and said she'd go look for the uniforms. She comes back 30 seconds later with the uniforms which were done and ready to go, they were pressed and in the plastic bag and she lectures me about needing to pay a rush fee next time if I'm going to pick them up early! So it seems the reason she didn't want to give me the uniforms is because we didn't pay a rush fee! We could have avoided all the drama if she had just said that in the first place. I would have been more than willing to pay the damn fee had she said something about it! There won't be a next time though, they've lost our business for good. read more

I will never use this dry cleaner again! We took in two oversized sleeping bags that had only been used twice to have them cleaned. They were in perfect shape but slightly dusty. When we picked them up, one sleeping bag looked like it had been set in bleach and is completely ruined. Of course we could only see this after we got home, unwrapped and unrolled it. When we brought this to their attention the day after we picked them up, they refused to take responsibility for it and tried to insinuate that we brought it in that way! I would never ever recommend this place to anyone. read more

They totally ruined my beautiful duvet cover. Totally stripped the color. First the manager said "maybe it shouldn't have been dry cleaned". When I showed him the tag that said "dry clean only". They have helped me save money several times by telling me certain garments would last longer if washed in the machine or by hand at home. They are very good about letting the customer know if there is a risk to the item if dry cleaned, and recommending laundry versus dry cleaning, with explanations. Horrible service! Destroyed my red coat, it looked like they had poured bleach onto it! When I complained about what had happend the person "Clara" gave me this im too good to explain attitude, once i got in her face she called the manager. We took my daughter-in-law's wedding dress to be cleaned. When we went to pick it up it was still filthy, we were shocked that they claimed it had been cleaned. The staff was rude, sarcastic, and not very helpful. It was clear they do not care about satisfying or keeping customers, had never encountered so many rude people in one place. We asked to have the dress cleaned again, and when we picked it up the second time, Maria, one of the staff, refused to give us the dress bag the dress was in the day before. Aside from being rude and refusing to give us the bag back, she refused to call the manager for us to ask about the bag. Will never, ever, take anything to this cleaner again and would not recommend this business at all, worst business in Salinas ever. read more
