Gentleman that helped us recommended what's best for the prom dress we brought. Advised us to wash and steam iron instead of dry clean to be on the safe side since there's no wash instructions on the dress. Reasonable price, ready as promised and very pleasant. yes i would only go to james ,i'm very chemically sensitive, went in to talk and tell him my issue he brought iover a cashmere sweater and not dry cleaning toxic smell. i was a flight attendant and had to resot to self washing and then taking uniform in to be pressed, that was befor james. his aunti is on leave but a wonderful seamstress. dianne mills read more

I was out of town and needed my suit cleaned asap. Dropped of my garments by 9 AM and had them back by noon the next day fresh and clean.

I went here twice. The first time was ok, the second time I took a table runner with a stain. I was clear when I needed it, and they hadn't even started it when I went to pick it up on the day they said it would be ready. It should have been dry cleaned, instead they washed it and the backing shrunk, but the top didn't, so it was rumpled and ruined. Also, they didn't get the stain all the way out. I have been going here for many years and they always do a great job and deliver on time.

This dry cleaners is close to my home which is nice. They have always done a great job on my clothes. I brought in a lace white blouse one time that got a full glass of cranberry juice dumped on it. All of that stain is gone except for just a small hint that you really have to look for of that stain. I will be able to bring my dress in Monday to be cleaned and pressed pick it up Thursday for my Sons wedding on Saturday down south. I had to do a lot of alterations and if I would have been smart I could have brought it in there for the alterations and saved myself some stress. I know my dress will look great when I pick it up. NOT like another dry cleaners that I used to use and you get the clothes back dirty but they are pressed. Prices are fair also. read more

This review is strictly for their customer service (I did get one pair of pants dry cleaned, but it that was just one pair and I have yet to get a range of clothing done). So. I went in, dropped off my pants, and told the man (Hong?) that it was for a job interview, and because of my commute would need them as early as possible. They open at 7:30 a.m. on Mondays, so I told him that's when I would be there. On that Monday, I showed up early at 7:18 a.m. and there he was, waving me to come in. I thought it was great that he opened early for me, but even better was he shook my hand and said, "Good luck." read more

I just had a dress dry cleaned for $9. I think that is a good deal but I'm not sure since I haven't visited any dry cleaning shops since 2006. Used to go to Economy Cleaners by Costco in Sand City several years ago but I had heard that they are not so "economic" anymore. The dress looked great and ready to wear. Wow, I really should have trusted my fellow Yelpers on this one. I hate doing laundry. I tend to shrink everything. I miss that "like new" feeling you get the first few times you wear an item. With this in mind, I thought my brand new trousers deserved a little more TLC than a spin in the machine. I come from San Jose, where you can find a Dry Cleaner (actually, they're never just cleaners; they're cleaners/purified water/DMV registration/keys made/passport photo/all-in-one centers) on every corner. With a move down to this area, I was left looking for somewhere new. Enter Seaside Cleaners. It's nice enough on the outside, but I had a bad feeling moments after I entered the shop. There was one customer in front of me who was just finishing up. He collected his garments, then left. I put my pants on the counter, and tried to initiate a conversation with the man behind the counter, as he didn't even say hello. He shut me down in a pretty rude manner while he was fidgeting with some paperwork. I don't remember what he mumbled, but there was no eye contact. Couldn't that have waited until I dropped my stuff off? Once he acknowledged me, the rest of the transaction went ok. I prepaid for my items and picked them up 4 days later. They did a decent job on my pants. No complaints there. I went back two weeks later to drop off one more pair of pants. This time I was greeted by a woman. She was actually really friendly, and greeted me moments after I walked in. She rang me up, and told me my total, which was also scribbled on the receipt. It was $5.50, which included a discount for prepaying. I gave her $6 cash, and she closed the register without giving me any change. I looked at the receipt, then I looked at her and asked her for my total again. She said $6. Rather than arguing over $0.50, I took my receipt and left. Again, my pants came out great, but I left feeling disappointed and deceived. Two instances of bad service did it for me. I won't be returning again, even if they are conveniently located. read more

I love love love this cleaners mostly because I am a cheap SOB and they don't double your price just because your a woman will woman suits. The seamstress is amazing she patched a hole in a leather motorcycle jacket from under $20 it is beautiful. The first shop I took it to for repair wanted $75. Tried to go here Saturday at 5:20pm and was told they were closed and not opening again until Monday. Their yelp hours say they are open daily from 7:30-7pm. The lady did try to help me find a cleaners open on Sunday, but still a disappointing waste of my time. read more

They offer a military discount which is great and are always able to do whatever I need. I recently needed next day service to switch out uniform patches and it wasn't a problem at all; they even called to check the orientation of new patches because I was rushed and hadn't been clear when I dropped it off. This place did such a good job! I took my husband's dress whites (Navy) to be cleaned and I didn't realize there were some spots that he wanted me to point out (he told me after the fact, natch). Even without me pointing out the spots, they came back spotless! And the gentleman who was there when I dropped them off was so nice and sweet. The lady who was there when I came to pick them up, even sweeter! She gave my older daughter a chocolate and carried the uniform out to my car, hung it up and helped my daughter in. So, so nice. I've had this place do 3 separate large items of dry cleaning for me. The first experience was excellent, but the second & third they didn't get the items even remotely clean. No other dry cleaners compares to Seaside Cleaners in the Monterey/ Seaside/ 831 area. Their dry cleaning machine uses an environmentally friendly system, compared to other cleaners in the area that spew out pollutants all day long. The owners work are very friendly and do try to hold conversations with customers, especially the usuals. They take care of me whenever I realize I need a last minute outfit for the night. Prices are very reasonable and they offer a discount for paying for services at drop off! Parking is not difficult to find through out the day. Best of all, theres a great vietnamese restaurant about 20 steps away in the same plaza. read more

i live two blocks from these people...............took five brand new shirts in to them and one new suit................they gave me the shirts back.........with white stains all over all of them..............they were black shirts.......... i couldn't believe they would hand anyone back something like that....... the suit was also wrinkled?????? i was so disgusted.........with them....... after i complained..........they offered to fix the shirts................while i waited, but it was easy to see.......that they had ruined them.............. i was waiting for the "they were this way when i brought them in...and we can't do anything" they didn't say it.....but i knew it was coming............. i told them that i didn't have time to wait around for it............ i left...................i left the shirts.............and never went back to get them...... what was the use................get angry twice over these people............ the local taylor..........across the street...said that his customers had problems with them ruining things.............and he never recommended them. the only recommendation ................i would give these people................... is to get out of the dry cleaning business ....and stop destroying peoples property...................beware!!!!!!! read more
