I have been coming here at least once every 2-3 months for the past 4 years. The really, really good? It's CHEAP (!!!) and in a very convenient location. Also, it's same day cleaning The good? For the price, they do a solid job of dry cleaning. If your clothes aren't how you want them when you pick them up, they'll do a "do-over" with no fuss. Granted, the fact that you'll have to come back is annoying, but I really don't expect perfection when I'm paying between 50-75% less than I would elsewhere. Also, at least in my case, they've never damaged any of my clothes. Other places have, but not them. The not-so-good: They kinda try to push you out of the door when you pick up your clothes. Don't let it happen. Make sure your clothes are well done. Also, it almost always smells in there. One last note: I've had my cleaning done at more expensive places, and I do notice the difference. If you want your delicate silk blouse to look immaculate, your skirt to have exact pleating or your 3k dress to look perfect, you should know better than to bring it here. For me, this is a place to bring shirts, slacks, blazers, party dresses (e.g., from Bebe), and winter coats. read more

This place has the worse customer service. I went in this morning at 7:00 am they didn't open the doors until 7:08. I needed an item that I dropped off yesterday and I didn't have my receipt . In the past not having my receipt wasn't a problem they put your phone number in and it comes up. Evidently it's a federal offense according to RAMON. The biggest A.hole ever. His English was terrible and he was so busy talking down to me about not having a receipt that I had to tell him my phone number 3 times. The nicer I was the ruder he was . Any man that talks to a 70 year old women the way he did has some serious issues. Guarantee if I was a man he wouldn't have talked to me the way he did. I'm done with that place . Bad service all the way around read more

Dropped off ONE white button up on its own to be dry cleaned and spot treated for a little speck stain. Went to pick it up the next day and the spot looked exactly the same so I asked if they could redo it which they did for no charge. Only problem is when I went back again to pick up the shirt there's was a fresh black stain right on the front near the buttons and the original much smaller stain is still there but much less noticeable. Needless to say I will never be bringing my business back here if they can't handle cleaning one shirt. read more

Excellent service and they are always busy. Prices are very reasonable. My wife and I have been bringing our clothes here for one year and they do a good job. Easy parking. I've never seen any customer complaining at the front desk. Flexible hours six days a week from 7 AM till 7 PM. The place is not fancy inside so you're not paying for the decoration, you are paying for the service and that is important. Also you get a discount if you pay cash. read more

20 years of business to this place. On average, I have brought in 250 dress shirts to be laundered, 24 suits and a variety of other items (about $1,250 - $1400 worth of business every year). I just tried to have them re-do my black dress shirt, which came back with a lot of white marks all over the shirt and they quickly said I had to pay for it (at the time, I was bringing in about $60 worth of dry cleaning/laundry) I asked the manager and she said that I had to pay for it because I didn't request a "re-do" within 24 hours of picking up my shirt. I picked up 20 shirts that day - am I supposed to take all shirts out of the plastic and inspect them all that night and then return the ones they didn't do right? I can understand if I was a new customer but 20 years worth of business. I told them I wouldn't be coming back and taking my business elsewhere....no response. They may be the cheapest place in town but after years of being okay with shirts not properly laundered and broken buttons, I am done. Would love it if someone from management replied to this review, but not very hopeful. I know my $1250+ a year is a drop in the bucket, but with policies like this, they will be losing a lot more customers. read more

RUDE associates - was informed my items were ready for pick up when I called - went to get them and a rude female told me come back at 4:00 pm I advised her a man said it is ready she said "no come. Back after 4" I then asked her if she could please check again on her carousel she looked on her computer and said "I said come back after 4" - NOT surprised this business gets a low rating - DO BETTER or your staff will cause customers to go else where - pretty sad - they didn't have half of a star so I rated them an overall 1 which was generous! read more

This is what Save On Cleaners did to my dress. When confronted, they said this is the condition I brought it in, which is, of course, untrue. If there are any stains on clothes at drop off, they note it down to make sure they are not held responsible for them. I tried to get the money back for the dry cleaning and the dress, with no luck. If you think you are saving money using this business, you are mistaken. They routinely ruin customers' clothes. We found a more ethical business with a similar price point in Salinas. Worth the drive. read more

I called to find out about hemming my pant legs. The lady told me the seamstress was not currently there and offered me her cell number. How awesome is that?? I called and spoke to the seamstress and she told me she would be there in 15 minutes. When I arrived she quoted me a very reasonable price. I left them with her and on my pickup day I had three pairs of pants hemmed and pressed. Can't beat that at all. I will definitely be using her for more sewing. read more

got my dress shirts back and they smell so bad. would not recommend them what so ever

I am tired of this place constantly losing My clothes. I have had it. This morning I went in to pick an eight piece order and they can't find it. RUN don't walk to another dry cleaner. read more

A great value with good service and professional results. One day turn around is exceptional.

Service is great! My clothes are ready on time. The price is good. This is why, I have been going here for decades.

DO NOT HAND OVER YOUR GARMENTS FOR THESE PEOPLE TO HANDLE!!! Left my husbands collared shirts and asked them to wash the cuff and collar area on all. Once I got home to hang them I noticed they completely discolored one of the shirts, which was obvious and stuck it in the center. I know tie dye is really popular these days, but I did not ask them to fade his Oxford shirt!! If you end up damaging someone's item the right thing to do is be up front when they come get the item and offer some sort of solution to fix it! That's how you run a business and maintain it!!! TERRIBLE!!! Not even worth giving one star! read more

Beware, they raised their prices. The quality of their cleaning has always been mediocre at best, however I didn't mind because the prices were good and my clothes were not that expensive. This last time, my bill was almost $100 for mostly laundered items, only like two dry cleaned. Just thought I would alert others. read more

Cheap dry cleaning. You get a discount when you pay cash. But customer service is not so great. The lady there was not helpful and even if it was suppose to be done at a said time, still it wasn't and then she gives me attitude. I remember before I could drop a dress in the morning and get it by the end of the day. Now it takes 36 hours if more. And mind you its a simple not so delicate dress.would I come back.. Maybe if I was not in a rush.. This used to be my go to place because they were highly dependable on a short time. read more

The name has changed, everything else remains the same. Previously Economy Cleaners, not much has changed with Save On Cleaners. The prices are still minimal at best (2.95 per garment cleaned/pressed) and the service is still what you would expect from a dry cleaning establishment. I have never experienced any of the complaints that have been posted here. The staff isn't exactly jumping over their counter to serve you, but they aren't rude either. This place does a pretty substantial job with cleaning and starching my clothes, so this will likely continue to be my go-to cleaners. read more

If I could give this place a zero, I would. I used their services as a faithful customer for 3 years, and was pleased until a few months ago. During the pandemic, they lost a lot of staff and the new staff they have now are really unprofessional. The manager is wonderful, but even after months of patient understanding, both the quality of the cleaning and the rude and brusque service has not improved. I have had 3 garments completely ruined, and I have been treated extremely rudely for pointing out stains or issues and asking for a re-do. I was actually told.. 'you always come in with stains on your shirts GOD'.. as if that's not why you go to a cleaners! Its not worth the inexpensive prices to put up with rude and even damaging service. Do yourself a favor and stay clear. read more

I haven't been to this cleaners in a long time but today I dropped off a couple items to have cleaned. Terrible customer service all around from the moment I walked in. No welcome, hello, smiles or pretty much anything! I was about to be overcharged so I made a comment regarding the quoted price and then asked for a supervisor. "Eddie" walked up & totally ignored me & threw out another price to the cashier. I drove off then called in to let a supervisor know I felt mistreated and Eddie got on the phone and started to scream at the top of his voice while ranting about me complaining. I didn't even get to be heard. I said SIR, I AM THE CUSTOMER but he continued to scream. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I found out the owner isn't the same owner from the past. Too bad, the place went downhill! I would give this business minus stars if I could. read more

It was my fist time dry cleaning ever and I went to this place,My honest opinion WORST place don't recommend they made my blazer shrink and they got it dirty with red juice or something and with a Chemical they used I would rather, not go this place unless you want your clothing messed up and I didn't even get my money back they just said bring it back we will wash it again hell no please don't go 6-2-2021 read more

This us d to be my go to spot, quick, friendly service. Lately it hasn't been on point, since the owners changed. I always ask for my sweaters to be folded over the hangar, to prevent stretching. Of course can never count on this, even if printed on ticket. read more

The woman who does alterations is totally unprofessional and rude. Was promised a pickup time almost a week after I dropped off and when I showed up to pick up they were not ready. No call, no notification. When I called to inquire she was unprofessional and did not seem apologetic. When I finally got my items back one of the pants was taken up an extra inch and do not fit. She refused to fix them and was extremely rude. Do not give her your business. read more

So cheap and the people are nice. This place is so much more affordable than others in the area. It is annoying that nobody can park correctly in the front lol, and it is in such a busy area next to Costco. If you want what you're sending to be cleaned completely ruined, you're at the right place. DO NOT USE THIS CLEANER.

I recently gave this shop a try while on vacation on the Peninsula. Some of my shirts needed special attention. Was I astounded by the results? YES! Joseph the Manager there spent extra time with me to understand my needs and assured me all would be taken care of. The results were amazingly wonderful as was the price! Whenever I am in the area I will definitely use Save-On Cleaners. read more

Dropped off my laundry and forgot I had left my Benchmade knife in my pocket. When I realized I had forgot the knife, I assumed it was gone. I went back a week later and asked if they had found a knife. The employee stated she would ask and call me. I really did not believe they would find the knife. Went back a few days later and they gave me my knife back. Great customer service. The knife cost me over $100. A very honest establishment, and I would recommend their business to my friends and coworkers! read more

I'm very disappointed. Save On Cleaners donated a gift card to a local school fundraiser raffle in Monterey. I "won" the auction item, but when I went in with my laundry to redeem the credit, the cashier said she wouldn't accept it because it had been too long (8 months), the manager changed, and the prices went up. TERRIBLE customer service. What's worse is the new store manager never responded to my inquiry about this. I will not be back. read more

Prices are fine. Timeliness is fine. Untrained staff and misinformation is what gives them 3 stars. I came for cleaning and alterations. They said it would be done. Came back and alterations weren't don't and was told to I had to meet with a different person. Not an issue but say that at the beginning not after I already picked it up and came back asking why they weren't done. Don't waste people's time. read more

I highly recommend the seamstress that works within the cleaners. She has sewn on Boy scout patches for me. She has made a tablecloth for me, and custom fitted a dress for me. I understand they have new Owners/management. But seriously messed up my white dress. Really if you don't know how to clean why are they in this specific business? Sadly never had this problem Before. Negligence & not taking responsibility. Beyond unethical. read more

I came in to drop off a couple simple items and was met with terrible customer service from the moment I walked in. Not only will you have to park somewhere near Costco and carry your garment far across the parking lot but you'll rarely be greeted. At best they'll look up and nod their heads at you, as if you're supposed to be the ones helping them. I understand this is a cheap place but the customer service is terrible. I had left my check at home and when I asked if I could leave and go get the check I was interupted mid-sentence by a pretencious young manager who told me "if i can't afford cleaning I shouldn't come in" without offering a solution or letting me even explain that I had left my payment. Totally rude and disrespectful both Azarel and Jeff the "manager". read more

I had a really bad experience here today. I took in an item that I've had cleaned many times before (although not here). When I came to pick it up, they told me it would be extra because of the material. I guess they didn't realize it when I dropped it off, but it was no biggie at all! A few bucks didn't matter :) I gave them cash on top of the pre-paid amount I gave them at drop off. When they brought me the item, a white SuperDry vest, it seriously looked like they DIDN'T CLEAN IT AT ALL. I've never had this happen before. It sill had the stain I dropped it off with and overall just had those dirt creases that you can see on something white when it needs to be cleaned. I totally understand not all stains come out (although it was a really faint one), but something wasn't right here at all. The worst part though was how the owner treated me. He had a horrible attitude and reminded me of talking to a teenager. He said the label said "dry clean only" and I should try washing it. He said he didn't see any reason that fabric couldn't be washed but he'd have to "call me and ask" if he were to do that. Not sure why he didn't then - guess it was too much trouble? I was really kind, but made it clear that I wasn't happy and wish I hadn't paid if it couldn't come clean. He just kept shrugging his shoulders and saying "the work was already done" as if that meant he couldn't offer a refund. I said very nicely, "it seems silly to lose a customer over $6" and he shrugged his shoulders again. He literally didn't care one bit. Maybe they get a lot of one stop shoppers and it's enough to keep them going? Overall, the customer service got me most upset. I'm a business owner and I literally can't imagine not caring or trying at all to be fair to a customer, especially one that was really calm and nice about things. Mistakes in business happen and I totally get that - but to just take money and not care isn't ethical at all. Next time I'll drive the extra few miles to go to another cleaner instead of go for convenience and price. You totally get what you pay for here. read more

The worst service in the world. They ruined my blanket and then want to charge me to fix it. Do not go here ever! You can find much better than this around the Monterey area. read more

This store is under new ownership as of this year and they have definitely improved for the best. I took a peacoat that I got at a buy one get one free same (it was the "free" item) to an alterations center in Carmel to get the back lining sewed up and they charged me $25! I could have done a better job for less! Although they were close to my house, I decided I wouldn't use them again. Save-On was recommended to me so I decided to give them a try. I brought a pair of jeans in that got a hole in the back, and the guy working the front was super kind and told me it wouldn't be perfect, bit they'll do their best. It couldn't have been worse than the hole so I had nothing to lose. I picked up the jeans two days later and they looked perfect! Brand new and you could never tell there was a hole. And it only cost $5! I bring all my clothes here for dry cleaning and alterations. Fantastic job, good customer service and you can't beat the price. Try it out. read more

BAD EXPERIENCE 2 out if 3 VISITS!! I had used the Salinas Save On & was THRILLED every time, sad to say - these two are NOT affiliated! First time, everything was fine... 2nd time, I accidentally left my husbands paperwork & name tag in his pockets, apparently his now tie also - when I picked up the pants, the contents were still in the pockets & REEKED of cleaning fluid and the name tag was missing. They repeatedly argued with me telling me they ALWAYS empty the pockets, citing "policy", right up until I told them I PULLED THE CONTENTS FROM THE POCKET MYSELF. Upon returning to FIND the name tag (you get written up if you show up to work without it), they were unconcerned about it being missing & wanted till the next day to find it. Long story short, after pressing them & leaving - they found the name tag, but too late for hubby to take it to work as he'd already left. 3rd time - tried to pick up his shirt & was simply informed it had to be "re-cleaned" - I dropped it off purposefully to get it by the next day as hubby needed it for his uniform. They finally fetched the shirt after being "pressed" for info once again only to show me DIRT marks all across the front & a faded blue hue all over the right side if the shirt - neither which were there when I brought it in. NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!! They DO NOT CARE about you or your things!! read more
