Beautifully done but very expensive. I took two lightweight dress jackets in to be freshened next cost 15 bucks apiece to get them cleaned, but they really didn't need much. I asked if they had checked the buttons to make sure they were tight and she said that they just checked to make sure that they are there not necessarily tighten them. When we think for that much they should double check seems buttons, etc. anyway they did a good cleaning job that's true. read more

After coming in just a couple times, the lovely young woman at the front counter remembers my name and face (incredible - and this having always worn a mask and sunglasses!) and are honest about their turn-around times. I had 2 suits and 2 shirts dry cleaned here....they were right on time and I was thankful as I picked up my suits the same day I left to cross the country....That's why i give 2 stars - they said 3 days and it was 3 days but ..... I was center of jokes during both the service and the party later that night. The collars on both suits were pressed way off. You could actually see the stitching because they pressed the fold wrong. I feel bad because the folks working were very nice and courteous but if you are looking for good dry cleaning, this is not the place. I brought my suit jacket in to get hemmed last week Saturday, 07/27/19, was told and even put on my ticket that my jacket would be ready by Friday, 08/02/19, by 4pm only to find out it's not even in the store!!! I saw a news article in the Register-Pajaronian about a new dry cleaner in town. The owner decided to go green since dry cleaning involves very toxic chemicals. My mother operated a dry cleaning store years ago, and she had to quit because of the fumes from the perc. So I was down for trying out Shalom Cleaners. I dropped off my clothes, and I noticed that the young woman at the counter wasn't very friendly. Nevertheless, I figured that we all have off days, so I didn't pay her any mind. When I picked up my clothes, I was surprised to find that three articles of clothing cost me $22. Those same articles cost me $15 in LA. Wow...who knew that living in Watsonville was living the high life! Do very few people dry clean here? Was it supply and demand? Or was it more expensive to go green? I don't mind paying a little more for environmentally sustainable chemicals, but I was definitely surprised that it was going to be that much more. Plus the lady at the counter was as cold as ever. It would really have helped the pain in my pocketbook if the customer service was fantastic, but it wasn't. The clothes, however, came out pretty good. No weird smell from the chemicals. That was a big plus. I would go back, but I won't be coming often since it's so expensive. I might try someplace else to see if I can get a better deal on cleaning. I would definitely trust them with something expensive since they did pay attention to detail unlike some sloppy cleaners I have tried out.
