The machines are clean and modern, the staff is nice and helpful, and the experience wasn't awful. The cost of laundry is much more than I expected, as of this writing on April of 2023, the large capacity washers are $6/load, and the regular capacity are $3.50/load. The dryers can handle big loads pretty well and the will give you 6 minutes of drying for every quarter (about $1.75/load). There are lots of baskets to wheel your laundry from machine to machine or to the smallish folding tables, but the whole place is kind of cramped and getting wet clothes from one place to another is a challenge. It does beat some of the other, skivvier places in town but that's a pretty low bar.

The neighborhood isn't the absolute greatest @ night, but you'll find many less-safe places in good ol' Salinas (note that it's next to a gas station & directly behind a liquor store. BTW, how is it that so much alcohol is peddled in the immediate vicinity of gas stations in this land of ours. How bout locating those booze joints right next to bus stops or taxi stands instead). Aside from the new stainless steel machinery, what sold me on this place was the Korean speaking staff, awesome since I'm looking to whip my language skills back into shape. 1 lady who co-owns the business not only speaks fluent Korean but was a grammar teacher back in the mother country, score! Every time I come with out fail one machine doesn't do what I expect it to. Today for instance I did towels and some darks. The towels went into a super washer and they got clean. My darks went into a double wash and they did not. The driers are hit or miss. My towels are taking for ever even tho I split the load between 3 driers. My darks dried so fast I thought the drier was a super drier so I put some of my towels into that unit.... As I am folding my darks I smell them and they do not even smell like tide. They don't smell DIRTY but they certainly don't smell fresh and clean. This happens usually with one load every time. I can't explain it. Another thing is they are wrinkled af. In my experience clothes should not come out of the drier wrinkled... I mean I used to put wrinkled clothes in the DRIER to quickly UNWRINKLE them. So I don't know. I will try one more time next week before deciding to go some where else. Reg wash $5.25 for the smaller machines. And up if you want a better wash. $8.75 for the super washer. Drying is $0.25 for like 4-7 minutes depending on temperature. My towels have been in for going on 45 mins now I want to say. Maybe it is just me.... ‍
