So close to home, I wonder why we had not been here before! Hubby did some weird method to find out on line who carried some Silk Soy creamer for his coffee. So, we ended up here! The store is a bit older, can tell by the floor design but it was very clean. Props to the friendly seafood guy too. The selection of product was good and we walked out with several things even though we had already done our shopping elsewhere for the week. Could not be helped! It was not nearly as busy as Vons today and it almost had a relaxed vibe to it on a Sunday afternoon. I found the prices to be comparable to anywhere else (except Winco). With only 2 cashes open at the check out, it was starting to get quite lined up. Someone came and opened up another cash which was very appreciated but too bad he was a bit of a dink personality wise. Oh well, that won't keep me from returning, I liked it here! I can't seem to grasp why anybody would shop here. Prices are sky high compared to other grocery stores. The employees are not friendly and never seem to smile much. This supermarket is a hidden gem. I feel like not a lot of people come here unless they live nearby, because it's a bit out of the way from the major centers of town. It's never crowded, it's well stocked, and employees are friendly. The one drawback is that prices aren't great, but I'm willing to pay a bit extra to not have to deal with the crowds at the Walmart Neighborhood Market down the street. The pharmacy is also great to fill prescriptions. They don't keep you waiting forever like at Walgreens or CVS. read more

very disappointed with the customer service (at the register). i did not get her name but she is an older hispanic lady short hair, a bit chunky. anyway, she did not clean the belt after the customer in front of me. and then she did not change gloves. i told her and she told me she is not doing that for every customer. what?! then i brought my own bag, and she told me that i should get rid of the bag cuz recycled bags are full of germs. excuse me... my recycled bag is disinfected before after each grocery run so it may not be 100% germ free but at least it is not as dirty as her gloves and belt. i knew i should have gone to the other register (sweet asian lady very nice). she always disinfects after each customer. i never have any bad experience at this save mart except today. it is very unprofessional to tell a customer in front of other customer that her recycled bag is "full of germs you should get rid of it". i dont know if she is just exhausted. but if she needs a break from her demanding job then she needs to take a mental health day or something. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE TODAY. i hope the manager reads this and reinforce the importance of prevention of germs transmission especially during this crisis. read more

I enjoy making the trip to Save mart. The prices are pretty reasonable and the produce seems to be pretty fresh. I get my daily groceries here. I also am a fan of the craft beer selection. They have stayed up to date on the latest and greatest brews. The Wine selection is pretty good as well. I am able to find wines from Paso like Chronic Cellars. Plus they are cheaper than Albertsons prices for the wine! They are doing things right! :) read more

I do not stop here too often. Maybe every few months or so. They have the word "save" in their name, but you can save more at Winco Groceries. There are a few things that I like better here than Winco though. Save Mart's bakery section is so much better than Winco's. They are also closer to my home. Another positive about Save Mart is that they are not as expensive as Albertson's and Von's are. Most of the time the service is good. Today, though, it wasn't. Both the clerk and bagger totally ignored us. Very rude! Fortunately, we don't have to shop here too much. read more

I'm a fan of this Save Mart but only because of the beer selection. They have an entire aisle dedicated to mosty craft beer and they usually have a lot of it at discounted prices. I just bought a 6 pack of Deschutes IPA that's normally $12 for $7 and they have the largest selection of Luganitas I've seen anywhere. I'm big on trying new brews pretty often and the selection here is large enough and the discounted items rotate frequently enough to keep me trying something new almost every time I come here. Lately I've found myself holding off on buying beer elsewhere (usually while grocery shopping at Winco) and make a quick pit stop here instead. FYI: There is two aisles of beer. One with a big selection of your big brand beers and another two aisles over (on the wall) with all the craft and specialty items. read more

I shot at this store frequently when I need to pick up a few things because it's close to my home, never had a bad experience but today Cashier Kim clerk #16764 was rude! All 3 guests before me in line got a smile and a Hi, how are you?! I get to the check out and all I get is silence and a stink face. Why??? Cause I'm a young female???? I'm a paying customer, patronizing your place of work. Never got offered a bag she just shoved my stuff aside and handed me my receipt. I literally live within like 2 minutes of this place, but will never return after my interaction with a cashier named Laura. All I needed was a freaking onion and I just so happen to find a freakishly large onion and she charged for a "jumbo onion" when we brought it to her attention she freaking made us wait for someone to double check. The thing is, there wasn't another location for onions. They didn't even have jumbo onions at the time. It wasn't the cost at this point, but the principle. She did not believe us and gave us an attitude. For a few cents? Puh-lease trick. Customer is always right (or at least pretend). Now, I go all the way to winco for everything. Next to Albertson's, highest prices in town. I feel this store survives on it's location alone. Do not even waste your time at the weak excuse of Deli or fresh seafood area. And all meats are pre-packaged. They are very proud of their meats apparently. They are priced just about higher than anybody in town. But if your going to charge high prices, you better at least have high quality. I don't see that in this store. Wait to checkout seems to be more an issue in this store than others. This has become my go to supermarket. It's just a typical market, but it's close to home, has everything, and is open until midnight. Those are some really good perks! It's also much less crowded and cheaper than the Vons and Albertson's in the same area. read more

Ordered a cake for my daughter's birthday. When my husband picked it up, they handed him the wrong cake. When we got our cake and cut into it at the party, it was the wrong flavor. Well, today was the last time I will ever go in Save Mart! I went there to buy yogurt so it was a quick trip to the store. What I normally do at Vons and Save Mart is use the Coin Star to cash in my change, and then use that amount to help pay for groceries. Well, I get in line behind a lady who of course didn't have enough money to pay for her stuff. So there was a little bit of a wait, but not too long. The lady even apologized to me for the wait, so that was good. I told the clerk to use the Coin Star to pay for the yogurt. I think her name was Maye. Well she basically laughed at the amount of $ that the Coin Star was for $1.57 I think. Talk about a RUDE BITCH!!!! I've cashed in change about 1000 times @ VONS and whatever the amount was, they never ridiculed me about it! Well SaveMart you have lost a good customer! I will never tolerate rude, disrespectful employees and frankly, she should have fired a LONG time ago!! Here's everything I hate about SaveMart on Hageman. 1. smart-ass rude,disrespectful employees 2. constantly waiting forever in line because of either not enough checkers working, a problem with the customer directly in front of me in line, or a 10 minute conversation between the checker and the customer in front of me in line!! 3.
