Nice place to stop, especially if you're riding your bike from SF to Sausalito. The mango sorbet and hot chocolate were delicious. They had plenty of ice creams and assorted chocolates to choose from. I could've bought the whole store! The worker was a bit rude but she may have been having a bad day. The food was priced reasonably. read more

Ordered the Salty Sausalito sundae and it was served in a 16 oz cup with less than half of it being ice cream and the rest was whipped cream... don't get me wrong I love whipped cream but I don't want to spend $10 for a sundae and hardly get any ice cream. Toppings were also subpar. Don't really plan on spending my money here again. read more

We came about an hour before closing. There were employees wandering around, but no one welcomed us and we had to find someone to help us when we were ready to order. The young man barely spoke to us when we ordered and struggled with the register. The place is cute, but the prices are high and the service is slow and unfriendly. Not worth it. read more

All we got here was treated poorly. We saw the long line at Lapperts and came here. There weren't a lot of people, maybe two in front of us but the guy was so rude and impatient with everyone. He was rude and impatient with the woman in front of us and then he yelled at us to form a line to the left. We were next. He looked right at us. There was no crowd. He immediately took a woman who literally just walked in. It was so blatantly disrespectful that we just walked out and went straight to Lapperts. That line moved quickly, they had a larger selection, great prices and the ice cream was delicious. Problem solved!!!! read more

Spent a few days in Sausalito. The first night we discovered to Chocolate Orange ice cream. Wow! It is to die for. Second night we finished dinner too late to get more ice cream. On the third night we ate locally and went in for the fabulous Chocolate Orange ice cream, but they didn't have it. When I looked like I would cry the young lady behind the counter looked and found som that had been packed and put aside. My day wasn't ruined. Stop here just for that ice cream flavor, but maybe call ahead to make sure they have it. read more

The service was absolutely horrible, a couple of dogs were in the establishment and one of them even had to mark its territory. The workers seemed a bit overwhelmed because they skipped my turn as well as others a few times over and couldn't seem to figure out who was next despite there being a line. It was 1300 and chocolate ice cream was completed out; that was probably the one thing that did it for me although it sounds trivial. How does an ice cream shop run out of ice cream? I ended up going to Starbucks as I tried to buy local. read more

If I could do 0 starts I would, such an incredible experience and not in a good way... my wife and I went in to at a total of $43.85 in Chocolate and ice cream, I got the ice cream and and started to eat the ice cream the employee kept the bag of chocolates, as I went to pay their machines would not take cc so we moved to another cc machine, the employee that was helping us asked his supervisor about the cc machine not working so the supervisor replied to me that I would need to pay with cash... we'll, I didn't have cash so as I've already locked the ice cream and I was ready to pay for our chocolates, this supervisor says he would have to keep the chocolates and take the ice cream back, as I replied I had already licked the ice cream he replies by saying well I'll just throw it away!! So o have him back the ice cream cone... I get that the machines weren't working but to go that extend to take everything just show the incompetence in the general manager that he's not teaching his supervisors, or maybe the owners!!! I will never go back to this place and I do not recommend for anyone to take a chance on this!!! read more

The ice cream here is solid. And when I mean solid -- it's like a unique texture. It's not too creamy like what you'd think of gelato and ice cream, but more chunky/thick/doughy if that makes sense? Anyways I really liked it in my sundae and I recommend if you're ever in Sausalito! read more

After a long day of sightseeing, my friends and I decided to go here for some ice cream. We were delighted to find out that the ice cream was a great tasting treat for a somewhat reasonable price for the area ($7 for two scoops on a waffle cone). The homemade ice cream flavors really were great and you can tell that they are made with high quality in mind. While standing in line I did notice that the chocolate packages adjacent to the ice cream bar are very dusty. That could have been because of the recent fires in Northern California, but I'm not too sure about that. 4 stars given for the length of time it took to check out and because $7 is a lot for an ice cream cone. read more

Meh. You're 100% paying for the location, not for the food or ambiance. It was super chaotic inside, with a line going out the door. Staff at the register were disorganized and frantic. The ice cream itself was just average. There were no seats free, and I saw one woman have to flag down an employee to wipe off a table. There are also lots of kitschy knickknacks for sale by the door. If they got rid of those and spread out a little more, this place would feel way less stressful. read more

The decor is an enchanting blend of vintage charm and modern sophistication, making for a setting that instantly transports you back to the beloved candy stores of yesteryears while maintaining a trendy and clean aesthetic. The glass display cases filled with colorfully wrapped sweets, rows of freshly baked goods, and handmade chocolates are nothing short of an eye-candy! The staff at Sausalito Sweets are as warm and welcoming as the treats they serve. Their enthusiastic demeanor and genuine love for their products create a homey atmosphere that's both comfortable and inviting. Their knowledge of their craft is truly impressive, and their recommendations never fail to hit the mark. But the star of the show, of course, is the sweets. The range is enormous - there's something for every palette, from dark, rich chocolates to light, fruity candies. My personal favorites include their buttery caramels which melt in your mouth, and the white chocolate raspberry truffles are little drops of heaven. Every sweet is crafted with a finesse that speaks volumes of their attention to detail. The quality of ingredients shines through each bite, making it a truly premium experience. Not to be missed are their specialty pastries! The almond croissant, in particular, is a pastry-lover's dream. Freshly baked, flaky, buttery with a sweet almond filling - it's the perfect accompaniment to their excellent selection of coffees. Despite the abundance of deliciousness, the prices at Sausalito Sweets are surprisingly reasonable, allowing for indulgence without a hefty price tag. They also offer beautifully packaged gift boxes that make for perfect presents for those with a sweet tooth. In a nutshell, Sausalito Sweets is more than just a sweet shop - it's an enchanting experience, a feast for the senses, and a testament to the art of confectionery. Whether you're a local or just visiting, a trip to Sausalito wouldn't be complete without a stop at this delightful treasure. Five stars truly don't do justice to this wonderful establishment. It's a bougie coffee spot in Tiburon (one of the richest neighborhoods in the Bay Area) and the view definitely lives up to the location. They have glass windows everywhere where you can see the mountains where the 10 million dollar homes sit on or have the view of the bay. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, so you can soak it all in either way. The drinks were the highlight for me. The chai latte had a good spiciness to it and wasn't overly sweet, which I really appreciate. And the affogato? Amazing. Absolutely get the affogato. One big miss though -- they have a variety of pastries in a glass container, but I saw flies flying around inside it. That's a big no no for me and completely turned me off from wanting any. Hopefully they get that sorted, because the pastries looked tempting otherwise. Heads up: parking nearby is paid, so plan for that. Overall a lovely spot for a scenic coffee morning -- just stick to the drinks for now.

The inside is adorable -- calligraphy, paintings, and drawings all over the walls make it feel creative and homey. The whole place just has a really nice, chill energy. The ice cream itself was fresh and flavorful -- we tried the Horchata and Ube flavors, and both were amazing! You can tell they use good, fresh ingredients. The flavors tasted real, not artificial, which I loved. The staff were super friendly, too. I don't remember the name of the girl who helped us, but she was great -- when we asked how many samples we could try, she said "as many as you want", which was honestly the sweetest thing ever. We got the kids' size, and it was the perfect portion for a late-night treat. I'd definitely recommend The Shack -- great vibes, great service, and even better ice cream! My favorite is mamey!! If you've never tried it, do it. It's a tropical fruit flavor that's just the right balance of sweet and creamy. Absolute yummmmm.
