I waited at least 30 minutes to get the part. The commercial parts person never offered to help. The people in the back never came up to help. I went to replace it and they sold me the wrong motor. I went to return it and was 4th person again. Same story different person on register. 20 minutes in and a couple comes in and get in line and they turned and went to the commercial desk. I asked to see the manager. a guy come out of the back and we had serious words. He told me to leave the store several times or wait in line. Apparently my time has no value to these people. I spent at least an hour just to get my money back. I called corporate and they said district manager would call me. I ordered part from O'Reilly's. They had 4 people on the counter and I walked in and got the correct part. The district manager called me back and I told him what happened. He asked what the guy looked like and I told him. He said this wasn't the manager and he was going to get the problem resolved. I never heard another word. I personally will never step foot in this store again. If you don't mind being treated poorly and made to stand in line for excessive amounts of time this is the store you want to go to.

First I'd like to say most of the associates in that store are fairly nice. They could use a…read morebroader knowledge base but they are very nice. One associate, however, (and I didn't get his name - he's the younger bald white guy) needs a lesson in how to deal with people who happen to have female body parts. I'm being nice. I wanted to use the correct terminology but I don't want the Yelpers who read this to think I'm "crass"... Went in today, asking about gasket sealant for a carburetor float chamber. The lady I spoke with didn't know for sure if it would be sufficient when I asked her, so she went to the man I'm talking about and asked him. He said he wasn't sure it was the best thing to use where gas is concerned (the item I brought to the counter) and immediately assumed it was my husband who was doing the repairs and started talking to him. I asked if he had one that was specifically made to work with gas. He proceeded to tell my husband that he thought they might have one, then went down the aisle we'd just been on, glanced at a few items, and informed us that they must not have it anymore. The ENTIRE TIME he was addressing my husband. Not me. I spoke up. I said, "I'm the one working on it. I just need something that will serve as a gasket until we can ord..." - he cut me off, looked AROUND me at my husband, and started talking about the carburetor. Now. My husband is brilliant. But he doesn't have the same mechanical mind I have, so I am the one who is usually doing the repairs to engines and motors that die in our home. I again tried to redirect him to speak to me. He continues to speak to my husband and more or less ignore me. When he DID speak to me, he spoke to me like I was a three year old child. Reminded me several times that if I got anything into the "bowl" of the float chamber, I'd ruin the motor. Well DUH. Thanks for mansplaining that to me. Wonder how many engines he's rebuilt and if it might enlighten him to know I've done this my entire life (I'm 50 years old). He then began to tell stories about how he has to put more on some engine he's been repairing for the church every year at the beginning of the season and blah, blah, blah. Talking to my HUSBAND. Then he said something that let me know he doesn't know a THING about what he was talking about. He said you put the gasket maker goop I was buying in the channel and put the old gasket in there as well. NO YOU DO NOT. I mean really. I nearly walked out without buying anything. I nearly let my mouth outrun my manners and blasted him. Now, I wish I had. I will NEVER step foot inside that store again. Ever. I have been treated this way by men before. And I have never bought from their places of business again. There are two other auto parts chains I won't use because they have men working there who believe it takes a certain added appendage to be able to understand how anything works. Word of warning to businesses. Treat people equally, regardless of your preconceived notions about them. Doing otherwise will result in a loss or downturn of business.

I went with a friend a few days ago to figure out what was wrong with his car. He did the free…read morediagnostics test, and then had an associate, Ron, check his battery. Ron told my friend that his battery was as good as dead. My friend asked what the price of a new battery would be and purchased a new one. Ron installed the new battery for us and we left. However, we ended up coming back about an hour later because the battery was still shutting off. We asked Ron to check the new battery and see if that was still the issue or if it was the code that came up from the OBD2. His manager, Steve, instantly was saying "well then it's your alternator!". However they didn't check anything other than the battery before selling us a battery. I'm not very knowledgeable on cars myself, but if someone checked my battery and told me it was basically dead then I'd buy a new one. However, now I know I'd have to ask a million other questions. My friend then wanted to return the battery, and Ron told us to speak to his manager. My friend and I walked to that section of the store and my friend politely asks "Excuse me are you busy?" And Steve responded with "Yes I'm at work, what do you want?". My friend explained the situation and Steve was very short and hotheaded with us. He ended up getting his old battery back and all of his money back but anytime my friend asked a question Steve would start to walk away. My friend thought he was shorted by a few dollars and he said that. Steve responded with "no you ain't." And walked away. I've worked a customer service job before and I know this is not how you treat people if you want them to come back. My car has a handful of issues but I'll be looking for other places that can sell me the parts with good customer service representatives. We will not be going back and I would not suggest anyone goes there.
