We were out of town on vacation with our camper. Two days before we were supposed to leave my pick up started making an odd noise. I got to the service center the next day when they were opening. The service manager very kindly squeezed me into the afternoon. My pickup needed a new alternator. They also found the turbo boost hose had a hole in it which could burst at any time. The next day the part arrived and I had it at the shop at 8:00. By 9:00 the truck was done. Super service from very kind people. Ignore all the old negative reviews. read more

Update to my previous review..... they did not tighten the starter, which fell out of the truck 4 days later. Blamed it on me even though the starter was not loose before i took it there. Had to eat the cost to have it inspected and tightened. Truly embarrassing. previous review - We had a camper attached to my '03 F250 for July 4th week. Going thru the mountains, and the transmission died. AAA found Mountain Ford for us. They called us and said "sure we can take care of your truck." And then they OFFERED RIDES FOR MY FAMILY BACK TO THEIR DEALERSHIP! We were ecstatic. They are such wonderful people. When we arrived, they fed us and our family dog. Also found us a hotel to stay the night while the truck & camper was towed to their location. They allowed us to store the camper there too (free). I just cannot say enough about what good people these folks are. Absolutely inspiring. Love you guys! Our family will always buy our vehicles from Mountain Ford - even though we live 250 miles away! read more

Vacationing in mountains in October and 2022 Explorer with 4800 miles on odometer starts giving a strong coolant odor (potentially hazardous) in the cabin mostly when going uphill. I pulled over to side and checked but could not see a leak. Left the BR Parkway and headed to Bryson City where we planned to stay for 3 days. Stopped in at MountIn Ford and explained our situation expecting friendly attention since we were traveling vacationers BUT the flippant staff said they could take me in in 2 weeks. I asked to have a technician just look at it and maybe an experienced eye could spot a quick problem to fix. Mountain Ford refused ... I then asked IF they would sell me a jug of coolant which they charged me for. So much for owning a NEW $57,000 Ford undrr factory warranty with less than 5,000 miles. Worst Service EVER! read more

Our F350 broke down during a vacation trip. We were having to drive my race car up and down a mountain gravel road to get to our cabin but Gary repaired our truck quickly. He also allowed us to store the race car at the dealership that night so we did not have to risk damaging it before a race that next weekend. That was service above and beyond! read more

We were in Bryson City recently and had an issue with our 2010 Ford Escape. We went to Mountain Ford when they opened at 9am on a Saturday and they diagnosed the problem in ~10 minutes. It needed a belt tensioner, which they were not sure they could find on a Satrurday morning. They did, though, and had the car repaired by 11 for a very reasonable charge. The service manager (Chris) is friendly. We purchased our 2007 Ford F150 brand new and all these years we've ensured that all preventative service work was done just as owners manual requires. We had full faith that the Mountain Ford service department was honest, caring folks with good morals. We had no reason to think differently. Took our only vehicle in for an exhaust leak repair 2 weeks prior to our long planned holiday trip to see family. Chris quoted us that it would be up to $700.00 to repair the leak. A few days later we get another call from Chris telling us that while his team tried to access the manifold, they accidentally broke 2 bolts off in the truck engine. He went on to explain that they would have to remove the engine then send out the part to get the broken bolts removed. All this he said would cost us (not Ford) all the extra charges to fix the problem they created. Now we were facing a bill over over $1,800.00. 11 days later we were allowed to pick up the truck, pay a whopping bill of nearly $1,900.00. We were helpless to say the least. The leather seat and steering wheel displayed black, grease hand prints. Even the DVD no longer worked. The truck sounds like it's on it's death bed. Very loud knocking noise coming from the engine. Now we're 1 day from making a trip to see family and our truck is far worse then before it went to Mountain Ford. Called Chris to explain the problems and he stated that the truck is supposed to sound that way and that we likely never noticed it before. He offered to remove the DVD player from the dash and order us a rebuilt one . He would only charge us his cost. Sooooo you be the judge. We cannot claim that these folks are bad. We can claim that they will never set hands on our truck again. read more

Hey all, Don't want to say anything untrue here just thought it worth mentioning that 3 of the 4 times we've had our F150 serviced at this dealership, we've experienced many problems afterwards. Brakes especially. Buyer beware.....perhaps only coincidence or maybe not. Eitherway we will not be returning to this service center at all. read more

The week of June 11, 2018 my wife and I spent a couple of days in Bryson City, NC. The day before we were leaving to go home the key broke off in the ignition and we had no way to start our 2011 Ford Expedition. This was a Friday afternoon and almost closing time when we got to Mountain Ford from our motel by walking. Two gentlemen (I failed to get their names) from the service department quickly stopped what they were doing and jumped on our problem by going to our motel to get our car and make us a new key. This entire process took less than an hour. They made sure we had water and had a cool place to wait on them to get back. For what they did the price was so reasonable but their attitude and workmanship was priceless. They saved us an extra day stay at the motel and our son a 300 mile trip to bring us another key. I was there on vacation and they fixed my Lincoln Navigator. Within ten weeks it had an issue again. According to the Ford garage where I live they should have offered me a suspension converter kit (which is common practice) not a compressor then I would not have any more issues with the parts of the air ride system. I spent $1008.00 there and now ten weeks later I spent $778.00 for a conversion kit and do not have to worry about any of the airbags, compressor, etc going bad. I feel that they should have at least been helpful and sorry they did not do this when I called but they did not even seem to care. I surely would not recommend them to anyone especially my friends who live in the area. read more
