They sat me in the pedi bath for 30 mins to distract me while they finished up on another client before they started on me. I didn't leave until 6pm. SNS dip powder was done nicely. Coming from Atlanta, my expectations are so high with respect to beauty and self care services. I expect all nail technicians to provide a manicure by default, to provide a full service experience. I also prefer an SNS process that includes a base coat, color application, top coat dip and high gloss finish. This application was color powder only and standard clear top coat polish. The result was really pretty, shape was good (I'm a "square square" kinda girl,) and they've lasted for weeks without cracks. Since I'm new to the Bay, I will try out a few places in my area before I land on my go-to spot. All in all a good experience. I would return! read more

I have never left reviews for any place. But I decided to do so for this place because I am so disappointed and upset. I went yesterday to get my dip nails removed (this is my 3rd time ever going to a nail shop). The nail tech used an acrylic nail to pop them off. It hurt a lot, I voiced that it hurt. But since I did not know the process, I trusted she was doing it properly. Come to find out you're suppose to soak them in acetone and use an electric nail file. My nails still hurt AND there are still a lot of residues of the dip powder. I know some residue is normal but I am also sure most of it would have came off AND preserved the health of my nails had she done it properly. I told her I was new to the process, I guess she saw it as a opportunity to do the quickest method instead of safest. So disappointed :/ For first time goers, do the research before to make sure they are doing it right. read more

I've came here twice so far and I loved the outcome of my nails. My reason for the low rating is because I had a nail appointment & was not seen until almost an hour later. When I arrived they had me wait on a pedicure chair & they were able to get 2 other walk-ins in & out before getting to me. Another thing was my acrylic fill was more expensive than my full set when I first came in & I didn't do anything fancy just a regular color. I thought I'd give this spot a try since it's the only one that does gel-x in the area with 4 stars on Yelp. However, I am here to tell you, avoid this spot if you plan to do gel-x. First of all, I was lowkey disappointed when walking out of the salon because I noticed that the nails were not done very neatly. See pics attached. But also, I thought it was weird the lady didn't clean my nails/cut my cuticles before starting the process because all the other places that I went to before this one would typically. Second of all, my nails are lifting after one week of getting them done, and keep in mind I don't do anything outrageous with my hands. I usually wear gloves to wash dishes and type all day at work, and seriously that is prolly the most I do with my hands, and the bad boys on my hands are ALREADY LIFTING AFTWR A WEEK!!! I went here on Monday before my vacation. (My normal spot started closing on Mondays.) Got a gel manicure and pedicure. $78. Pedicure was just ok. Did not notice that my manicure was sloppy til I got home. Nails were not filed straight and I could visibly see gel on my skin. The woman must have saw it too cause she started cutting the skin a bit with the nippers after she had already put the top coat and my hands had already been in the UV machine several times. I was pressed for time and had a 7am flight the next day, so I could not go back and have it fixed. Fast forward to today. My left hand's index finger has been sore since Tuesday. It feels like a hang nail or ingrown. I've never had anything like that on my fingernails before. Last night, my finger was swelling a bit. I took a tweezers under the nail bed towards the left outer edge and come to find that the gel nail polish was stuck to my skin and nail at the corner. I pried them apart and there was a small hole that began to ooze pus. So I wasted half a day in the hospital rather than enjoying my vacation. Dr. said I have a staph infection and needed antibiotics. Never going here again. read more

I came in today to get a Gel-X set and a gel pedicure. I get that it's a busy holiday weekend so it's bound to be busy. I ended up coming back later in the afternoon around 2pm to have this done. I was happy to see the remodel/expansion has been complete. I was seated at the pedicure chair and had a tech start on my gel-x set, but no one came over for my pedicure until my set was done. A woman and her daughter came in much later after I arrived and they had their pedicure started before mine, which was irritating. The color I chose at last was what I asked for, previously I've had colors be put on that weren't what I asked for. The shape is sort of a "short coffin" but leaning more towards a square shape. My cuticles weren't cut, no cuticle oil, no lotion, no massage. The pedicure was also ok, but it was bare minimum. Yes my cuticles were done and yes I got cuticle oil, and exfoliation but no lotion and no massage. I was there for 3-3.5 hours! For a very bare minimum service that ended up being $105! Of course I tipped because of the time, but the price does not match the quality. Not sure if I'm going to be coming back...yes they offer gel-x nail extensions and they are close to me, but the service is lacking for the overpriced service I received today. read more

Going and getting a mani/pedi without a girl friend, was nerve racking for me, but once I sat down in the comfy massage chair, all those nerves went away. For the guys who never had a mani/pedi, you are truly missing out! I arrived right when they opened and they were able to get me in for a mani/pedi right away! The nail salon is very clean and well maintained. The massage chairs have multiple settings, very comfortable and are in great condition. During my visit, one person started with my feet, followed by another staff members executing the manicure. It's crazy how smooth your feet are and how refreshed you feel after sitting in that chair for an hour. While sitting in the chair, I noticed they got a lot of call-ins. Making an appointment isn't necessary, but definitely recommended if you plan to come on the weekends. (every time I pass it on the weekends, they are busy) For $38+tip, they take their time to make sure your nails are cut and clean. I came here with my sister for a manipedi and the lady who did my pedicure was so rough it was painful. I hate to give hard working businesses bad reviews because the ladies in here were hustling but that being said I called here after finding them on Yelp since we're just visiting from out of town and staying close by. I feel like this place specializes in acrylic nails as that's what everyone was working on but being that we only wanted pedicures and no appointment, we didn't get the same kind of customer service. This place is really small like there's only a small walkway between the chairs and the walls and ventilation not the best as even with a face mask on you could definitely smell all the chemicals (acrylics, nail polish etc) Here's my take on how my experience could have been better: 1) called to see if they could take 2 walk-ins. They said yes no wait if came now. Two chairs open yes, they soaked our feet BUT we waited for like 20mins while waiting for someone to be available. Thank goodness their massage chairs are nice. Should have just told us there's a wait instead of lightweight fibbing and have us sitting forever watching everyone else get acrylics. I felt it was like a bait & switch situation. I would have left if we weren't already barefoot and soaking (got you!). 2) the pedicure was rough and rushed!!! They scrubbed hella hard and fast, no real massage and the polish job was meh. I could still see bumps and imperfections on my nails. But dang that scrub hurt. As soon as I was going to complain they stopped. Ha! The wait was as long if not longer than my service time. Again I think they were just trying to get us out of there to accommodate their real money makers ....them acrylics people coz they didn't really pay us no mind. Like "scrub-rub-rub-scrub- NEXT!" Tried this place today for first time based on Yelp reviews because they had same day availability for pedi and full set. Asked about dip powder full set and pedi pricing and was told $45 and up for gel pedi and full set was $55 and up over the phone. When I got there, they sold and pressured me to get gel pressed on full fake nails instead of dip powder. Not sure what it is but they assured me that it's better than dip powder. I showed them the picture I wanted and the lady said okay. No mention of price. The pedi was the quick and blah. Barely scrubbed my feet , if that. More like just washing it, and there was definitely no massage, a quick rub maybe, and then a hot towel. No meaningful scrub or anything, and I was definitely not offered any other options for the pedi. So that was $45. For the gel full set, told the lady that one of my fake nail was shaped slanting to one side. Her response was that my nail is crooked. Okay. This is not my first nail job lady, so I don't need a snappy comment that my nail is crooked. Maybe you can just fix it to my liking and make it look less slanted to me. Then she keeps filing into my cuticle with her electronic filer. I tensed up every time, and she said I have to relax my hand. Then one time I said ouch, her response was, "don't move when I'm filing." Seriously lady, I wouldn't be saying ouch if my cuticle wasn't cut into. Maybe an apology and being more careful would be nice. Then came the design of the nails. She asked to be shown the picture again, then after looking at it, she said $75. I'm like, so $75 because of the two snowflakes on the nails? She's like yeah. Then I asked, what about no snowflakes? She said $65. So that's $65 for price transparency. I actually don't mind the price so much as the complete lack of service and complete disregard for their client's comfort and opinions. Overall, after dropping over a hundred dollars, I will not be coming back. Really bad service and really bad attitude. Mind you, I've never been this place before. So not like I'm a returning bad customer. Avoid this place for the sake of your hard-earned money. Better service elsewhere for the money you're paying. read more

So many good reviews... maybe i'm the one off... Appointment at 2pm, didn't start until 3:30. Nail tech did poor prepping before applying acrylics and they ALL lifted within a week. She couldn't even cut my nails NICELY and just left them super jagged. Used a ton of glue to the point where my cuticle and underneath my nail was flooded, and didn't even bother fixing it. I even brought my own gel polish because I have a perfect nude shade, but she didn't even cover the entire nail with it. If you need nice nails done for a special occasion + cheap, this place is fine. But if you need them to last for awhile, don't bother with this place. read more
