Unfortunately, this was the worst pedicure I've ever had. The service felt extremely rushed. I was barely soaked, my old gel polish was removed with a drill, and my cuticles were cut without being properly pushed back. The massage portion was minimal and felt incomplete, and lotion was applied while my feet were still wet. When I got home and looked more closely, I noticed the polish didn't fully cover my nails, several toenails were uneven, and the overall finish looked sloppy. My daughter and I were in and out in under 30 minutes, yet we were charged $100 for the service. I didn't say anything at the time because I didn't want to make a scene, but after having to spend time at home fixing my own nails, I was very disappointed. Got my first tap gel manicure here about 5 weeks ago and the manicure lasted longer than any other manicure I've had! I didnt know what I wanted and they had a ton of options, but I had a quick chat with Trang and she was able to help guide me! I made a last-minute appointment early in the morning during the week. The salon was really quiet, just one other customer there, so I was hoping for a more relaxed and attentive experience. The technician did a good job with the nail cutting and color, so no issues with how my pedicure turned out. But she wasn't very friendly, and the overall vibe felt kind of impersonal. Disappointing experience overall. Prices are on the higher side for the quality you get. I've gone twice for gel manicures, and both times one of my nails started peeling within just two days. They also charge an extra $5 per color if you choose more than three, which feels excessive. The callus scrub isn't included (apparently not part of their standard package), even though most other salons offer it as a basic service. The "complimentary massage" lasts maybe 20 seconds and feels more like they're going through the motions than actually trying. On my last visit, the salon was empty, yet they still rushed me out in under 45 minutes. Overall, just mediocre service for the price -- definitely better options elsewhere. read more

One of the male staff members did my Gel X nails and the application was great. The only problem was when I showed him the reference photo for my nails he painted the base color nude when the color was pink. But then he led me to Tracy where she did fixed the base and the design perfectly. She cleaned up the nail and made it more cleaner. Her design and my reference photo was close to perfection! I really love the detail she put into each nail especially when she added power on top. I definitely recommend Tracy as she was very attentive to detail. Tried this nail salon. Here are some thoughts. This place feels like recently refreshed. Interior is pretty updated and fresh. You can book online which is a plus. It is located in downtown of Millbrae. There are plenty of parking around, street parking, parking lot between trader Joe and living spaces, and parking lot across the street near the old staples. I tried the basic and regular pedicure. It is super efficient here. Within 20 min, I am waiting for drying. Cleaned well and colored. Massage chairs look modern and gets the job done. Overall feeling of this place is a super efficient. The regular here is really the bare minimum of service. read more

I've been here several times now and unfortunately I don't think the quality is consistent when it comes to manicures. The gel pedicure is usually great, no problems. However I added on a regular manicure this time since I wanted a rest from gel. I wasn't really happy with the end state and I could tell it was a bit rushed. You can see that the paint layers don't look uniform from tip to bottom of the nail (see my photo labeled "June 2024". It just didn't look like a paint job from a nail salon imo. I had been going to this salon for about 6 months and then last November 2024, I discovered that I had a nail infection. I had mentioned to the lady doing my nails that I needed a new set and she said that it was still fine. I had also asked for a new set the time before and they also said it was fine. Now I know they were being lazy. I hesitantly proceeded with my acrylic fill. A couple days later, my nails were already lifting. I thought that was weird since I've been getting my nails done for 10+ years and it's never happened. I put some nail glue on and that only held for another day. I looked under the nail that was lifting and saw that it was green. I panicked and too the nail off to discover a really bad "greenie". It had developed because water was trapped under my nail and got infected. Luckily, the infection had not gotten to my nail bed so my actual nail didn't fall off. I got all of my nails removed at another salon and she said they should have never given me a new set. It turned out I had greenies on 4 of my nails. It is now 3 months later without nails and the greenie has finally grown out. My nail was stained so I decided to leave acrylics off until it grew out. I do not recommend this place. I'd give them no stars if I could. They are lazy and don't listen to the customer. read more

I am always in the market to find a new nail salon. I often read reviews to help me find a place. I was in need of a fill and so I decided to try this place. What I like about this place is that they have many different color choices on display. I went with a sparkly pink this time. I made an appt online and came in at my appt time. I had mad the appt with a girl but when I got there the person they sat me with was someone named Kevin. Kevin seemed friendly. We didn't talk much but I asked him his name and he asked me mine. There were two things that I didn't like. Number one he kept telling me over and over to relax. I have been getting my nails done for 20 years and no one has ever told me to relax so this felt a little weird and I felt as though I was relaxed... next my nails were coffin shaped and for the fill he said he would do coffin too but to be honest, the job he did look more square then coffin. I did pay and leave a tip but I am not sure if I will be back as while I don't have a problem with square shaped they are just not the shape that they are supposed to be. I have been getting my nails and waxing done at the Golden Nail Spa since their grand opening 2 years ago. I have a standing appointment with Amy for the "dip" powder. However, drop ins work very well. I have occasionally been serviced by other staff and I usually like their work too. Im just very loyal to Amy. I dont have pedicures very often and Im choosy about who does them but I have had great experiences with that too. I should say, I am tough on my nails. Usually, they won't hold up well to my abuse- but they do now. When I first came, I was used to the pink and white powder- instead of acrylics. Amy suggested the dip. I have never gone back. My nails grow a lot, they hold up, looks good, and rarely break. I go every 2-3 weeks. Sooner than later is better. Tiffany, the owner, usually does my waxing. Something about the way she does my eyebrows makes them stand out. However, Amy does them too and so have other staff and they have always look good. As for the shop, Tiffany loves to put up beautiful decorations. And she is very very good at it. Every time a new season is coming, she has new decorations going up. Ive noticed they are always fresh, and colorful. This year the Winter theme is pink and I love it already. They were just putting it up recently. It's not loud here. And the employees dont talk to each other in another language a lot when they service you. They mostly dress in a uniform top-focus on you. There is NO TV. And no LOUD music. It's a relaxing experience. They offer you water, mimosas and on special occasions, customary finger foods. During certain holiday seasons, they offer gift products to their clients. I wont even consider another nail shop. I had a pedicure once when I was out of town and decided I wouldn't be doing that anytime soon. Ive been to many places along the years. I have found great places and stayed with them until i moved or they closed. Before I found this place, I had been to many around the area which had all been referred by friends. I found this one on Yelp because of a review about Amy. I am probably wrong but I think Jennifer is at the front desk. Im terrible with names in general. I always love to see her at the front desk- she has great energy and is always smiling and warm. When she isn't there for a while, I kind of panic. She is a part of what makes my visits enjoyable! I'm relieved when they tell me she is on vacation. They tend to be busy. And tend to run a bit late for appointments- when I go. So I dont go when I have to be out at an exact time. But nail shops can't really estimate exact times. And occasionally we mix up appointments. But that is not their standard. And I dont care because the other shops dont have the package they have for me. Their prices are competitive- I am not looking for the cheapest prices. I used to get my nails done here. I hadn't been in the store in maybe more than a year when I returned for a gel fill. Upon paying for my service the technician told me I had 500 points. I asked what does that mean?? She said $25 off. I was happy about that until I saw she was charging me $80 for a gel fill minus the $25 plus a 20% tip I ended up paying $54 for a fill. That's about what I expected to pay when I went there but getting me excited for a discount then robbing me of my points was not customer friendly. I won't go back here read more

So happy to have found my new go to place for mani pedis in the Peninsula! They offer a variety of services here in addition to nails such as waxing, micro blading and massages. My friend and I were looking for a place to do a spa date together and I found Golden Nail Spa on Yelp. I was attracted by all of the good reviews as well as the location: close to work and has easy parking. It was easy to book an appointment online and we were also able to call the day of to change our appointment time by half an hour. I got a basic pedicure with callus removal and my friend got a gel mani and regular pedi. Luna did my pedicure and she was very thorough and careful with her cleaning. I love how my nails came out and she really softened my feet as well (they were looking so rough before I came here). My friend's French tip mani and pedicure also came out great. This salon is very new, clean and spacious. They have nice massage chairs for you to enjoy while you're getting your pedicure. I recommend calling or booking an appointment online as they do get busy even on weekday afternoons. We came on a Tuesday afternoon and plenty of people started coming in after 5 pm. I always pass by this nail salon when I do a karate class drop off. I came here on a Monday afternoon I was greeted and seated quickly. I got the deluxe gel pedi. I thought the steps were a little weird and off. I only soaked in the sea salt for about 30 seconds and had to take them off. I then got the scrub and masque before anything was worked on on my toes.
