I live close by. I came here a few months ago to try this place out. It's decent. I will come again, yes, but also with the fact that most roles are a little smaller in size from what I've been to in other sushi places you get a little smaller Porsches than I think a regular roll if that makes sense.. also, they do have tacos available for order. I was surprised with that as well. Like I said I will come back again. Maybe this Hit or Miss. Maybe it was my first time. It was decent experience

Thick Cajun albacore Eel/Unagi

Great service The sushi was good and some of the nigiri fish slices were thick portions, the eel & Cajun albacore were super good but the food definitely didn't sit right afterwards, my boyfriend and I had stomach aches and didn't feel so great. I'm not sure if we will come back because of that. The ambiance was chill and the restaurant was clean.

Was in the mood for AYCE Sushi so we decided to eat here again since it has been awhile. Overall, we had another good experience with good selection of menu items, great dishes and friendly staff.

We eat a lot of sushi being from SoCal and this place was amazing!! The Cajun edamame was the best edamame I've ever had! We will be back

We like this AYCE sushi place. They have really great selections and good pricing. We enjoy this restaurant about 3 times a year Get a reservation, We highly recommend.

Solid all you can eat sushi spot. They have decent selection of items. We ordered so many rounds. The service was excellent and the sushi was fresh. Not that busy the day we went and the server was really good.

Spoon Shooter Roll, Inari, Red Tobiko Nigiri
Jenn S.

Stopped in for AYCE dinner and were able to be seated immediately. There was one server handling the entire floor and he stayed very busy. The restaurant had some cute decor, but we noticed right away there wasn't any music playing, which was a little odd. We ordered a bunch of nigiri, some handrolls, and a few sushi rolls to start. The nigiri was good, not the best we've ever had but pretty good. The spoon shooters were probably the favorite thing we ordered. The hand rolls were drowning in kewpie and were a little too sweet. We got two rolls, the Salmon Lover and the Kamikaze. The Salmon Lover was good, lots of salmon and not a ton of rice. The Kamikaze tasted like the crab and eel had gone bad. It immediately turned our stomachs and made us nauseous. We would have ordered more, but it made us nervous. The server was nice, but messed up a few things. We ordered tobiko with quail eggs and it came out without the quail egg. We ordered sake and he forgot it until we asked again. We asked for some tempura veggies and he forgot to put the order in. For dessert we asked for fried green tea ice cream and affogato. He brought out regular green tea ice cream first, and then took it back and brought out two fried green tea ice creams instead of one and an affogato.

Got greeted and seated right away but no server came for a least 15 min. They apologized for the wait but still no service. They had only one server this women which I thought was moving kind of slow. She was the only server for the whole resturant. To take orders and deliver the food. It's not a very big place about 10-12 tables. Two guys making sushi. One of the guys brought us water, my husband asked for a beer and told him we were ready to order. He left and finally the server came took our order. We ordered a shrimp roll, Lisa Lisa roll and a fresh eel roll. All the rolls were fresh and tasty but they were very small in size.( I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of it. I was so hungry) This was the 2nd time here. My neighbor recommended this place. The 1st time we came I don't remember much about the experience, It must have been good enough that we wanted to come back. This time I notice how small the sushi was. My husband said we probably won't come back.

Katsu Curry Lunch Bowl

Had a good casual lunch here! The katsu curry and yaki udon (pictured) were very hearty for a lunch portion, and delicious! Someone else in our party ordered the chicken katsu without curry, and her chicken cutlet was more fat than meat...Not what we expected abd some pieces were just inedible. Service was fine. Ambiance was ok, music seemed too loud for a midday lunch, with few people dining in. But pretty good experience overall!

10k roll
Bethany T.

I've driven past this so many times. I finally popped in. It's located in cheyenne fountains. Its kinda hidden off into the corner of the lot. Open from 11:30 to 9. Weekends a smidge later. They have AYCE sushi lunch and dinner. I paid $26. Plus tax. So, about $30 bucks for lunch. 9am -4pm. They dont offer lunch specials on friday and Saturday. They have a all day special for $32. Instead You can ask for half roll if you like. I wanted the sasa sushi roll, but it had cream cheese in it, which i can't eat. So they took it out for me. Sasa roll was fabulous. Like i mentioned, i changed the roll a smidge. 10k roll was sweet due to the mango salsa but it is seared, so it has that extra punch of flavor. Thick pieces of fish are used for the nigiri!

All the staff greeted me. The place is out of the way and a hole in the all place but it is nice. Will come here again

Ask the Community - Sasa Sushi

Do you take reservations?

They do. We always call ahead. We usually eat pretty early in the evening, so it’s not busy anyways; With they said, I would call for a table if you are planning any time after 7.

Worse customer service?

Good customer service everytime I've been

Do they do half rolls?

They have half rolls available for the all you can eat sushi. I am not sure if they sell half rolls individually or ala carte.

My entire office building wishes they opened earlier, we would be there once a week. Does anyone know the owners can we make this suggestion?

Hello. Thank you for reaching out. We are working on adjusting our business hours, now that things are slowly back to normal (hopefully soon). In the meantime, please email…

Do they have Uni on the AYCE menu?

Yep

What time is Happy Hour?

Happy Hour is 2pm to 5pm on weekdays

SAKANA IS SIMPLY THE BEST!…read more Sakana has officially become our ABSOLUTE FAVORITE sushi restaurant, and for good reason! Their all-you-can-eat menu is loaded with an incredible variety, so there's always something delicious to try. As someone who prefers sushi without rice, I especially appreciate their no-rice options! They may only have two no-rice rolls, but their seafood salad with assorted fish and cucumber is SO delicious, and their Jalapeño Bomb is an absolute MUST every single visit! Their nigiri is also fantastic--the rice-to-fish ratio is perfect, allowing the fresh fish to shine without being overwhelmed by rice! One of my favorite things is that they offer full or half rolls on most of their sushi selections, making it easy to try even more of their amazing menu. Add in their huge selection of appetizers, including edamame, and there's no shortage of options to keep your taste buds happy! And PLEASE, whatever you do, SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT! Their fried banana with ice cream is my go-to every single time. It's the perfect sweet ending to an already incredible meal! But what truly makes Sakana special is the staff. The food is amazing, the selection is fantastic, and the people make the entire experience that much better. You can have great sushi anywhere, but when you combine delicious food with genuinely wonderful service, you have something special. Sakana isn't just our favorite sushi spot anymore--it's THE sushi spot we compare everyone else to! If you haven't been, you're seriously missing out!

The best AYCE in Vegas!…read more I would recommend getting nigiri due to the fish to rice ratio. Service is hit or miss best to go as early as possible. This is the best place to take your special someone on a date.

They offer all-you-can-eat for around $35, which honestly seems like a great deal if you can put down some sushi , but we knew we wouldn't eat enough to make it worth it, so we opted to order à la carte instead. We started with the pork belly, which was actually the only thing we didn't care for, so we ended up sending that back. Everything after that, though, was SO good. The garlic spicy salted edamame was delicious and such a good way to start. We also tried several of their all-day specials--the yellowtail carpaccio, crunchy onion albacore, and seared bluefin tuna--and all three were delicious. Normally the specials are limited to one per person with AYCE, but since we were ordering à la carte, we could order however many we wanted. For rolls, I got the A Little Tease Roll and really enjoyed it. My husband got the Call 911 roll, and judging by how quickly it disappeared, I'd say he loved his too . My son kept it simple with a California roll and a cup of rice, which worked perfectly for him. We also shared a lychee nigiri, one of my favorites, and it was super yummy. The ambiance is probably one of my favorite things about this place. It's really fun and feels like somewhere you could come for a date night, but it's still completely comfortable for families. It would also be a great spot to come with a group. The surrounding area looks a little sketchy, so don't let that throw you off. Once you walk inside, it seriously feels like you've been transported somewhere completely different. The restaurant itself is really nice and has such a fun vibe. Definitely recommend checking this place out and trying some of their different sushi rolls and specials. Everything we had (minus the pork belly ) was BOMB. Next time we're in Vegas, we'll absolutely come back and try some more!

You could immediately tell how talented and experienced he was just by watching his knife skills and the care he put into every dish. We started with the Albacore Tuna, cut into six beautiful slices. It was incredibly tender and practically melted in our mouths. It was so good that we ate it before we even thought about taking a picture! I ended up finding a photo of it on TARU's website because it deserved to be included. Next, we had a Salmon Roll, and then we decided to put ourselves in the chef's hands and asked him to make us a Chef's Surprise. He prepared a beautiful plate featuring four different types of fish, and this time we remembered to take a picture! Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. To finish the evening, the chef surprised us with a dessert of fresh oranges with a touch of liqueur. It was light, refreshing, and the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. This is also the first sushi restaurant I have ever been to that automatically brings out fresh Wasabi without having to ask. The portions are generous and we left feeling very satisfied. Even though we were very full, we took a look at the dessert menu. Not pictured here is a sweet potato with ice cream and brown sugar glaze. This dish on the menu was unassuming but the taste was so decadent. Quite possibly the best and sweetest sweet potato I have ever tasted.
