Curry

This curry house has a strong following off its simple menu of curry! There's options to beef up the meal where you can add veggies, proteins, etc. I appreciate the traditional atmosphere, and the server was very friendly and fast. I got the katsu with veggies, and it tasted very comforting. Great spot for a warm meal during the wintertime.

Well first let me talk about that wonderful woman, Janine. I think she goes by Jay, wow is the best response. She was attentive, gracious, & sweet. Our service was the best, as usual when we eat there. Food is always good. The food always tastes just right. For the portion of my ramen is spot on . The karaage chicken and that spicy mayo!! Yum! One thing I really enjoy when we dine is the music they play. It is nice to hear some of the not oldies that put in that so I wanna eat and relax mood. I am very grateful that I am here able to just enjoy the finer things in life like this place, these wonderful people! Thank you Jay, (Janine).

Love this place!! I'm surprised this place is not busy!! If I recall, I think i've been here one time, while back, once upon a time. I don't think the menu was the same, but my bestie kase brought me here!!! She introduced me to some gel shots mixed Berry. I never had anything like this before!!! They serve me in some champagne glass. So awesome!!! I think I'm gonna come here often. It's in my neighborhood anyways!!

Came here for the first time with my best friend and it did not disappoint. It wasn't very busy when we came in but became busy as we sat down during dinner time. Was pretty quiet place with families and can definitely talk and catch up. The staff seemed very busy with customers and only one waitress and one bus person. Seemed in a hurry to serve us and get us out there. The food was amazing and bursting with flavor. I am not good with spicy so I ordered the lowest. The appetizers were great and the main course was a big portion and took left overs home. I will definitely be coming back and trying more food items. Only reason I am doing four stars is the staff could be friendlier.

Beef bowl, I forgot what it's called on the menu but the beef's a little sweet and soooo tender

We love all the Zens but this one serves curry ramen and it's DELICIOUS! The noodles are the perfect amount of chewy and soft, it's become a weekly meal now. All the food is delicious here and the service is always 10/10! The restaurant is spotless and has a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely check them out!

Mini curry bowl, gyoza, side of corn and karaage chicken crunchy

Drove pass this place on our way to a TBall game and figured why not once the game finished. We love trying new/different places especially outside of our neighborhood. Ample parking shared with several other businesses, we got there a bit after opening so it was fairly early. When we walked in, we were greeted and were told we could sit anywhere. Our server brought over water without us having to ask and she gave us a few minutes to decide on our selections. Our order was Katsudon (2pork cutlets donburi style), tonkatsu ramen, mini curry bowl (mini rice bowl with curry sauce), karaage chicken and gyoza. Everything came out fresh and hot and the curry on point, exactly the taste I was hoping for and the chicken crunchy on the outside, tender and moist on the inside. The pork cutlets in the Katsudon was a bigger portion than what was expected and the cutlets were thick and juicy. Tonkatsu ramen was delicious as well, the only thing we didn't like about it was the bamboo shoots (personally I'm not a bamboo shoot fan) and now I know next time I can ask to not have it, which is great because they accommodate as requested when possible. Price wise, affordable and won't put a huge dent in your wallet. Our total bill after taxes and before tip was $46.55, which also included 2 cokes (soda is in a can, no fountain drinks). 9/10 place and will visit again, there were other items we wanted to try but didn't want to overdo it on our 1st visit. While we were there, they have several pick up orders and a few other patrons but it was a bit early so I was able to get a few pics of inside the restaurant.

Pork Katsu and curry

Haven't been here in awhile, but today was a curry type of day. Got there about 15-20 minutes after they opened, we were the only patrons , but it looked like they had a bunch of to go orders ready to go. We ordered the gyoza (5 pieces), my dining companion ordered the tonkatsu ramen and I ordered the regular size curry with pork katsu level one spiciness. The gyoza came out first, nicely crispy fried. No serving dishes accompanied the gyoza, so we ate over our napkins. Since there were only five it wasn't worth bothering the server for plates, but still, plates should have been a no brainer. My dining companions ramen came out next, a fairly large serving .The broth was different from other tonkatsu style taste wise, but still ok. Three slices of pork, a good helping of corn, but no 1/2 soft cooked egg. We figured that due to the egg shortage and crazy prices, they just omitted it for the time being. My curry came out finally, pretty plentiful curry and just enough rice. The katsu was crispy and tender. The spice level was higher than expected . The server said that each chef measured but sometimes they aren't all the same. It was ok, but I would have preferred a less spicy dish. All in all a decent meal. They still do a ten percent military discount.

A go to spot for me! The restaurant is always so clean and the staff is very friendly and super attentive with your service. I got the pork katsu curry spicy level 3 with cheese and a side of red radish. The pork katsu is very crispy and the curry is so flavorful! It definitely has a kick of spice, so I enjoy the cheese to cool it down a bit with the duo of the red radish which offers a nice crunch!

Zen Curry Dining is a Curry and Ramen full service restaurant with a location in North Las Vegas. The main dig is the curry that is made from vegetables, lots of spices called garam masala and then you add as many toppings as you like. They also offer a variety of ramens, appetizers like fried octopus balls, Japanese beer, and Saki. They offer traditional seating and seating at a small bar by the entrance. I tried a medium sized with chicken katsu (fried chicken), potato croquet, and vegetables with #7 heat out of 10 (30 cents extra). For me #7 is plenty hot but not too hot. I thought the curry was rich and flavorful. The rice was perfect and really fresh tasting. The chicken by it's self tonight lacked flavor and seasoning and also was slightly over cooked and dry. The croquette was fried nicely and was interesting and good. The vegetables seemed like a stewy mix of frozen and fresh that were ok. The Medium size might be large to most people. I had extra leftover but not enough for two meals. My husband tried a medium sized curry #8 heat (35 cents for #8 heat) with sausage, spam, rice, and an egg. The egg was almost heard and came out unseasoned. We were surprised that they fried the spam. They give you spoons to eat your meal here. I thought my meal was easier to eat with a fork. My husband got up to get forks for us and he also got the salt and pepper off the counter for his egg. 3 stars is a positive review on Yelp and translates to A-OK

Spicy Miso Ramen with vegetable broth instead of pork broth.

Honestly, I'm just happy to have a good Japanese curry place near me that offers tofu curry! I lived and studied in Japan and have always missed カレーライス. But it's typically made out of chicken/pork which I don't do anymore. The curry rice is pretty comparable to the curry rice in Japan. I can't say the same about the naan. I would skip it. It tasted worse than store bought naan and you only get a few pieces for the price. They do have コロッケ Korokke which is potato croquette. It was a bit cold but it was good! Just don't see them often in Japanese dinning establishments that are not in Chinatown or the strip. My husband got the spicy miso ramen with vegetable broth instead of the standard pork broth. He said he was expecting the noodles to be restaurant made but they tasted like they were instant noodles. He said the taste was overall ok. The service was great. The only comment my husband had since he was paying attention and I wasn't was the selection of music. Some dirty language and bad words. It's just a bit odd since the restaurant is a bit on the quieter side.

My go to spot for curry and ramen. I always get the chicken katsu curry with veggies or the spicy miso ramen with an egg. The service is great and the restaurant is clean. I live a mile down the road so my family and I are here at least once a week.

Ask the Community - Zen Curry Dining

Is the curry sauce vegan or vegetarian?

I spoke at length with the owner of the Las Vegas locations, and the sauce is definitely vegetarian. There is a small amount of a milk ingredient in one of the spice powders they use in the curry sauce.

Any shabu shabu meat?

No. Not that I know of, just curry and ramen.

At first I thought to myself, how good can this actually be? it seems like just a regular fast food like bento place. I was so wrong. The meat quality can be compared to restaurant quality. The way they packaged the meal also was aesthetically pleasing. The beef tongue was so good, firm and chewy but not overly chewy. The skirt steak was sooo tender. The bento came with two difference sauces and they both had a great umami flavor. The sides were good palette cleanser in between bites. Even the rice was cooked perfectly. I would definitely order again!! I cannot recommend it more.

I ordered the Certified A5 Wagyu bento and the beef & pork belly bento, both were absolutely incredible. Each bento came with sides that complemented the meats so well, making it a complete and satisfying meal. What really sets Muu BBQ apart is not just the food but the experience quality, presentation, and flavors that transport you straight to Japan. I'll definitely be back this is a place worth recommending to anyone who appreciates true Japanese flavors.
