I can't say enough good things about my tow with Blake yesterday. Specialized Auto Services was sent by AMA roadside assist to tow my Suburban . Since it was a Saturday morning and I live several miles outside of town, I was expecting to have to wait a couple hours. Blake from SAS called me within 10 minutes. He showed up at my house 30 minutes later with a large flat top truck. Blake helped me push my truck out of the shed, so it could be loaded properly. He was very knowledgeable how large SUV's have to be loaded and secured without damaging them. My truck arrived safe and sound at the repair shop. I've used roadside assist several times over the years for my Suburban. There have been a couple times where I had to send the tow company back, because they were not equipped and/or trained on large trucks. I've even had a guy show up once to change my tire with a tiny car jack. Blake showed up with a flatbed fully capable of handling large trucks. He was friendly, professional, and definitely knew what he was doing. read more

Everytime I've ever been towed. I call, and the operators all hah e a stuck up their arse. Talk to you rude. It's almost as if they TRY to not be helpful. I don't understand it. The drivers are assholes, and so are the operators... you get free money. How tf can you be mad? You tow away peoples car and charge them out the wazoo to get it out. I've literally chased a tow truck down before, if I had been 5 minutes sooner I wouldn't be out $400. They get free money and then treat you like you're a jacka** for making them do their "job". Had vehicle towed by SAS. They sent me a text message with a link for credit card payment. The link only had a total due, so I input my information and received a message saying successful transaction. I then received an email with the invoice. The invoice included a $32 tip. I think that was a little deceptive. Some people may not actually read their invoices. If you want to tip your driver that's fine but added to your bill without approval is unprofessional. This was not a table of 8 at a restaurant. I did contact them and received a refund for the "tip". read more

I have had the opportunity to be saved by SAS on 2 separate occasions. Both times they went above and beyond to provide exceptional service to help rescue me on the side of the road. From the friendly, sweet, angelic voice on the phone to the caring, strong men that saved a stranded girl in the middle of nowhere. Thank you so much SAS. I don't know if I have the right location or not, but SAS Towing helped me out of a jam and did a great job. I bought some cars from overseas and they were delivered in the container they shipped in. I was expecting a car hauler and instead received a 40' shipping container. So the carrier called SAS and they sent over a car lover who got the cars out of the container and on the ground like he had been doing it every day for years. This company got to me on the side of I35 pretty quickly after my truck shut itself off doing 75. It was past 10 at night and they were my savior. I was pulling a camper and the driver did everything he could to help me get the truck and camper pulled to a shop where I could have truck fixed. So very thankful! read more

Williamson County called this wrecker service from an accident and they charged $6950 for flipping a truck over and towing it 45 miles. They need to be off the Wilco rotation. They take complete advantage of you when you're down. Quicktow in Austin has done everything else for us at a reasonable rate. read more

This tow service was used when my vehicle was involved in an accident in round rock tx. While at the tow yard my aftermarket badges on my vehicle were ripped off and they had to pillage thru my vehicle to find the other. Also my cup holder was full of change and all the quarters were picked out. Pathetic. I called the owner, but after he told me my story was "bullshit" i did get a little upset and say a couple words i should of not. Then i received a voicemail from one of the emplys jermemy mcclintton were he told me about howw they record phone calls then proceeded to give me his address and told me to come talk to him like a man. LOL anyways dont trust these guys or if your stuck using them make sure everything worth value is out of your car or off your car (aftermarket badges) read more

Got stuck in the mud today in Burnet county. 2 other services said no way when we told them we were off paved roads, another wanted 350 just to drive out there, any use of cable would be 20 a foot. SAS said 125. Couldn't guarantee he could get us out, but he did. He checked it out , hooked me up, and winched my very stuck 4x4 Ford f150 our, 125 bucks, just as quoted. Yesterday we watched Jeff and several other employees save a doomed semi pulling a trailer with a 32,000 pound bulldozer on the bed. This was in extremely tight conditions and all back wheels (8) were dangling over the cliff. The technique and knowledge required were there! Jeff worked 9 hours in horrible heat and saved everything from plummeting off the cliff. So much talent and patience, GOOD JOB!! read more

My truck was involved in an accident while towing a trailer with a backhoe on top. The police called this towing company because both the truck and trailer were a total loss. The police had already determined that the other driver was at fault for the accident. The driver of the towing company, Jeremy, arrives and accuses my driver of being at fault claiming that the backhoe was overweight. The local police then had to call in DOT to verify if this was true. In under 2 minutes DOT determined we were legal and our load met the weight guidelines. Then he insisted that we could not remove the backhoe from the trailer until after he was paid for the load when none of my equipment had even touched his truck!! Then, my driver asked to have the truck and the trailer to be towed and they were reluctant. I called the office to complain and they were no help. She claimed she didn't even know the names of her own drivers but would find out and call me back in 15 min. Over 30 min later I called back and they didn't even answer. I used my son's phone and they answer! Very unprofessional! Later, I found out Jeremy is the owner. All of this took 4 hours to be settled at the scene of the accident plus the time it took to be towed. Finally it was towed to my yard for $3,100 payable ONLY by cash! We were charged by the hour and that included the time spent waiting for the DOT officers which was only a waste of time since our load ended up being under the weight limit. My driver had to help them secure the equipment since they didn't know how to do it properly. These people really do not know what they are doing, are very rude, and are only trying to make easy money at the expense of the misfortune of others. read more

they are not concerned about your vehicle at all. statement made by tower was any damage he caused would be covered by insurance. That's not true. Insurance isn't going to pay if damage interior of car trying to cram the bumper in back seat. Insurance will only pay for accident and that's if you are lucky even when its the other persons fault 100%. I was advice poorly by police and tow guy. I wanted it towed to repair place not impounded so I could pay additional charges that insurance doesn't want to pay for. Sorry I wish I could give a better review but felt very mislead and should of gone with what I wanted not what tow man and police said. Insurance does everything they can to avoid taking responsibility. Second accident where a person has pulled right out in front of our car with no time to stop or avoid and insurance is denying liability. and the first time we paid 1k deductible and rental. and rates have been raised now more than 200 a year. So wrecker guy don't give bad advice and be responsible with other peoples property while you are charging a fortune. read more
