BUYER BEWARE! We brought a rug to be cleaned and it cost $316 for an 8x10 rug. wasn't horribly dirty but we needed to freshen it up. It had dust, leaves, etc from normal wear and tear. We picked this rug up more than two weeks later and it's in the EXACT same condition. It has the same stuff on it. They wrap and tie the rug with paper and twine so you can't see it until you get home. What a waste! read more

Prices are insane $120 to hem a dress I thought it was a typo and I called them thinking they meant 12. But she argued with me saying she informed me of the price.....she did NOT! Do NOT take your stuff here. I brought my suede jacket to this establishment and it came back ruined. Falling apart in my hands like paper. When I took it in to them not only did they refuse to accept responsibility they refused to refund the money. They charged me $50 to ruin my jacket. They had the audacity to say take it back to the store and they can refund it. the owner would not speak to me he just walked around in the background while his worker told me to go ask to the place I bought it from for a refund, blaming their terrible service on the manufacture. This is a place that is unprofessional and they have no respect for your belongings and money. If I could give them a zero I would. I had brought a second jacket at the same time. it came back not ruined, thank God, but they had torn off the zipper. Zero stars for this place. I hadn't dry cleaned anything since the COVID pandemic began. We also moved and bought a house in Olney a couple of months before the world literally shut down. Now that I've returned to the office, I wanted to find a dry cleaner close by. Glad I found this place. They cleaned about 12 items including a few winter jackets, some dresses, blazers, and tops. One dress needed a new hem (since I snagged it on something) and another dress and jacket had stains. They did a great job! Since I had multiple items, one of the gentlemen that works there offered to carry all of them to my car. Very kind and generous. I highly recommend this dry cleaner. They do a great job, turn around time was reasonable (about 3 days since I had several items and some needed extra attention), good location (Olney Village Center), and their customer service is exceptional. read more

Friendly, family owned shop with good service. They are now open till 7pm due to the pandemic, and they dry clean on Tuesdays and Thursdays (although they are open the rest of the days for pick up and drop off). They handled my delicate silk kimonos wonderfully and cleaned without any damage. read more

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! I recently purchased a jumpsuit from Lord & Taylor that needed a simple hem. The jumpsuit is lined so it would take a little extra but it was still a simple hem. After trying on my jumpsuit and standing on the stool, the seamstress began grumbling and complaining "it's too complicated! This is too much! I don't want to do it. The lining is extra work. Please take it back to Lord & Taylor and let them do it. If they can't, bring it back to me!" I am SO DISAPPOINTED in a seamstress turning me away when you have signs all around the store and social media that specializes in gowns and wedding and prom dresses! I live locally and rarely need this type of service. this is my second time in 6 years that i stopped by and needed their help. first time was an ok experience, the tailor messed up my top. i only stopped by after i tried it at home and nicely explained it to them . they took care of it ASAP. i was not pissed or did not act rude despite their poor service. i still gave them another chance today as i do not know any other place. i walked in, explained i needed my long pants to be measured and hemmed. but also had another questions about options we had with how to fix the length. the lady was already impatient and spoke with her mother language to tailor despite the tailor being fluent in english. i explained to the tailor and she wanted me to change so she could measure. the cost of getting it hemmed was more than the price i paid for the pants and i completely understood that and did not even argue. but , when i asked what other options we had, like just cutting the length shorter but leave it without stitches ?, she got impatient and told me " probably it is your first time here, i have been doing this over 1000 times . and this is how it is. you may want to go another place !" she was NOT listening and i softy, politely told her that i may just want the cut left in fray ( i don't know the term so was trying to find the work for it). i was happy to pay the cost and i was just trying to see what other options i had. fabric, fray , no stitch ,......??? in summary the both ladies were rude, impatient, unprofessional, i will not go back, as they are unfriendly and have the poorest customer service i have ever seen. obviously their mindset was that i was not going to pay , or i was even cheap that i asked about options. BUT guess what i don't want their service for free. what i care about is customer service and respect. without these no business will succeed . best of luck to them . read more

Review is for seamstress. You don't expect to pay someone for a service to be told "not a necessary hem, she'll grow into it." I mean really, it was a kids karate uniform that was too long, probably took her 5 minutes. I insisted she take my business this time and she did a good job, but I will not be returning. I went in to have a hole repaired in my jeans with a patch. I was overcharged. And the patch was very poorly done. When I told her my concerns they were dismissed. I was met with terrible customer service and I will not recommend this business. And I will no longer be using them. I am very dissatisfied. read more

The prior positive reviews are in direct contrast to my experience. After Sargent laundered my shirts, I found noticeable stains on three white dress shirts. I needed white shirts for two events, including my wife's funeral, and wore the ones that were least affected. When I went back to the establishment, they agreed to redo one shirt at no cost, but not the others because "they had been worn". Today, I picked up the shirts, to find that the worst one still had a noticeable stain, and the others were only moderately improved. When I complained, I was told that I must have spilled something on them. This would be a plausible explanation, except that it was three shirts, not one, and the stains were in the identical location on each shirt. Clearly, this problem was caused by faulty equipment or operators. The bottom line is that they refused to take responsibility. The shirts in question were purchased at Nordstrom, and when I checked the price, they were currently selling for $69.50 each. The bottom line is that I will not patronize this business again, and I strongly recommend that other potential customers stay away as well!. read more

I take my clothes here just about weekly. They do a great job with my shirts- anytime the is an issue with a loose button, they usually take care of it right then. The owner is very friendly and the staff always recognizes me by my name. I have always appreciated their ability to accommodate a rush cleaning order. Overall a complete professional dry cleaner. Absolutely terrible service. I went there to get a dress hem taken up, only to come back and find that she took it up too much by at least 2 inches. The seamstress was unpleasant, claimed that that's how I wanted it done, and that it wasn't her fault. She wanted to charge me even more money to undo her own mistake, which she wasn't even sure she could undo. I took it to a different place, and the new seamstress immediately pointed out that the hem was shorter in the back, as I had suspected, and was more than happy to fix the dress for me. I will not go back to Sargent Cleaners ever again, as both the seamstress and the rest of the staff were unprofessional. read more

So this place has no integrity. My wife picked up a shirt that had some sort of chemical stain on it. So she brought it back and the guy at the counter told her it you be fixed that day. Well I go to pick it up at 5 and it was not ready. Ok well I'll wait lets get it done. No it'll be ready tomorrow he says. So we go back and forth about over promising and under delivering. Ok so he goes to fix it. Agitated but ok you were busy I'll still work with you. Well the. The lady says I watched him to it earlier. Wait a minute was it done or was it not done. Know I'm getting pissed, at this point now I'm being lied to. 30 minutes later the shirt comes back still with stains. So I end up leaving it. Not sure how it going to turn out. The kicker is just own up to the mistake, don't lie to me, and make stuff up. Say I'm sorry and tell me your make it right. read more
