I love the family vibes and authentic feel of The Drycleaners. I had a big event and needed a suit tailored in like less than 3-4 days and before a major holiday. The suit ran big and was long/boxy. When I tell you, the tailor took my measurements quickly and efficiently and got work. Now, I paid a pretty price BUT I know I paid for her dedicated service, expertise, and her time because she is an absolute pro! I picked my suit up on time, and with no issues. I loved the outcome and took this experience as a time to enjoy my first custom suit that I will use for events in the future. Thank you!

A lifesaver! Our…read morewasher broke and we still had clothes that needed washing while I was waiting for the clowns that AHS sent out to fix it. I used Yelp to reach out to a number of Wash/Dry/Fold places. Clean All was quick to respond and offered very reasonable rates. They even made suggestions for me to pass on to the repair people. I guess that makes sense because people who run laundromats have lots of with broken equipment. Anyway, I dropped off a bunch of laundry and it was clean, dry, and folded the following morning. They did a great job and even listened to my requests for some minor special handling. While I was there, I learned they also wash larger items, like weighted blankets, take in dry cleaning, and do alterations. Frankly, before this I never even realized they were there, and I've gone past there store 100s of times. I'll certainly use them for WDF the next time I need it. That may be in a few days since, sadly, the circus is still in town.

I always feel a little nervous using somewhere new, but I instantly trusted both the person I spoke to on the phone and the woman who worked there. I have been back 5 times and I just get the run-around. A month ago I dropped 3 pants of, I was returned 2 that were mine, and a larger/different color one. I come on a Thursday the owner is not there 5) I come back the following week, "I have to tell the owner about your missing pants." Unfortunately their prices are double what Zips can do things for. They are a larger company. It's economics and not personal why I go there more. My freshman year of college and on the first day of ECON 2116, I'm sitting in class and my…read moreprofessor said something to me, the enormity of which, I would not fully comprehend until a few decades later. He continued that in this class we would learn about supply/demand curves, calculating present value analysis, and Game Theory. But before all that, he said, if there was nothing else that we left his class with it was this basic truism: "The majority of financial decisions you make in life, can be simplified into trading your time for money." Sounds simple enough, and as a somewhat know-it-all 18 yr old, I thought my prof was full of crap, but now I see how accurate that statement was. Should I take a few extra minutes the night before to prep my food to brown bag lunch or spend $10-$15 eating out? Spend 1-2 hours mowing my lawn, bagging my yard clippings, and collecting leaves - or - spend $100-$200/month on a lawn service. Use my 10 yr old Mr. Coffee machine and a bag of Kirkland brand coffee or make a Starbucks run in the morning? Or as referenced in this review, spend 1-2 hours during the weekend to wash and iron my "work clothes," or use a dry cleaner? Pre-Pandemic, I would schlep into my office 4 days a week in downtown DC and 10 months out of the year, I had to either wear a shirt/tie or a suit. Not that I minded that, but I HATED having to wash and press my own shirts. Dress slacks are easy...men's shirts are a pain. You gotta remember to pre-treat the the collar, and no matter how much starch I sprayed or times I went over a section of the sleeve, the garment would still be a bit "wrinkly." I started using Sandy's Cleaners around 2017 and have a loyal customer ever since. Small local family owned business, and believe it or not, all of the garments are actually cleaned there ON-SITE!!! Most dry cleaners actually send their clothes out to an off-site facility where they are bulk cleaned. Not at Sandy's. There is a plant on the premises, and the friendly folks have always done a great job with my professional wardrobe. What I especially like, is if there is a particularly challenging stain, they will examine said stain and let you know if it can be removed or not. 9 times of out 10, they've been able to get out that errant coffee drip or ketchup splatter on my shirt...but if they can't, they let me know ahead of time. Now that I'm back in my office 2-3 days a week, I find myself dropping stuff off here again on a weekly basis; which is not a big deal since this is just a short detour from my weekly COSTCO run which is 5 min away. Could I go back to laundering and pressing my own shirts at home...sure, but why would I want to "waste" a perfectly good Sunday evening doing this chore when I can outsource it for a reasonable fee? Admittedly, my professor's "advice" was his take on the old "time is money" adage, but his words have held much value as I've progressed through life. Note: Sandy's only accepts cash and personal check. As of this review, men's shirts are $1.85 which is also cheaper than most other places.
