Though I did not end up using the service, the employee in there was kind and patient as I was trying to figure if my capri pant needed hemming. She talked me through it and stated she liked the way the pants fit. She could've told me to hem them and make the money, but she instead gave me her opinion and stated she thought they were fine. I used a Tide pod for detergent (this was the plastic she referred to). Incidentally, my other washers that had more items in them did not have an issue with the Tide Pods. Also, if this is an issue, there should be signs posted warning customers not to use them. Once the washers were complete, everything came out heavy and wet, and seemed to be barely spun dry. As if the spin option was not working in the 8 washers I used. Further, the dryers are nearly useless. I had to pay for at least an hour on each dryer that only had a handful of items in them, before they finally dried. Forget about using low or medium heat, your clothes and anything inside will still feel wet and cold. And high heat with make them feel warm and still take forever to dry your items. Overall, the employee was rude, the machines did not do a good job cleaning my clothes, some of which still looked dirty, and the dryers barely worked. This place also has televisions, none of which were turned on, a locked bathroom, dirty floors and tables, and out of order machines. This place is a waste of time and money. I recommend you try somewhere else.

The people that work there are constantly wiping down the washers and dryers inside and out. The owner says his motto is ABC, "Always Be Cleaning." While like most, I am not a fan of doing laundry. Potomac laundry has made my twice a week experience, pleasant, and somewhat enjoyable. I also appreciate that while the machines are Electrolux washing machines and dryers, they have kept their prices for individual use and wash and fold comparable if not less than their competitors. We are all looking to stretch our dollar and get the best for every penny. I definitely feel I am reaching that goal doing business with Potomac laundry. My $300 Tuckernuck sweater that was bleached that I brought in to be cleaned because there was a…read morestain and when I picked it up I noticed there was a massive bleach stain (I was unaware that cleaners use bleach on clothing items that should not be bleached) I am very disappointed in how it was handled and do not recommend as they are also very expensive and my sweater is now ruined. There is not a good way to fix bleach unless I bleached the entire sweater. I am sad
