Way too expensive...OUTRAGEOUS! The staff was incredibly rude when I asked about the price of hemming a t-shirt for $40 with NO warning!!! read more

They are so friendly, knowledgeable, and punctual. They are the best dry cleaners in the part of Arlington. And ... they love our puppy (always said hi to our puppy whenever we come). I have relied on their mending service too (beyond dry cleaning). Simply the best. read more

Chris & the entire Hurt Cleaners team did an amazing job with my grandmothers wedding dress. They performed an incredible service cleaning a dress that had been stored in a box for over 60 years and was in desperate need of specialized care. The entire process was seamless and stress-free. The results are amazing, restoring the dress beautifully. The price is reasonable - exceptional value for such expert work. Look no further than this team for any special projects and/or weddings. They are great!! read more

I recently took two long coats (one cashmere, one tweed made in Italy) to be dry cleaned. Spent about $60 and was asked to pick up in about a week. I was not in a hurry so I picked them up a bit after one week. Both coats were cleaned very well and I would return with more items in the future! read more

There's one rude person working there He damaged my shirt from first wash He has a bad attitude with zero customer service. read more

Expensive, terrible quality, unprofessional and nasty attitude. The worst experience I've ever had in Arlington.

If you want high prices and sour service, look no further. You know a company is poorly managed when they treat customers like they are dispensable. My wife forgot that we had changed cleaners (I usually do the runs) and took a winter coat to Hurt cleaners- (a place that had lost an item and then was openly hostile about the mistake). At any rate, they refused to clean the coat because I had left a bad Yelp review. Indeed. Instead of improving service and not losing items, or moderating some of the highest cleaning costs in the area, they whine about a poor Yelp review. So once again, I leave a poor Yelp review for the fragile management that can't seem understand that quality is both qulity service and customer experience- two messes that Hurt Cleaners can't seem to clean up. read more

These folks are thieves. They do not care what the prices on their website say; when your clothes are returned to you, the price is double, and they make excuses that their site is outdated. Well, then, update it! They are the most expensive dry cleaners in a 10-mile radius, yet I have never noticed a difference in quality. The only good thing I can say is that they have their own parking lot, and they will give you a discount if you live in Arlington. read more

Wonderful work done at Hurt Cleaners restoring my vintage leather jacket, that I found in a decent condition when rummaging in the attic. The color was really roughed up but I asked if it would be possible to restore the color to a dark black and they got it done!! Was really impressed and wanted to give them credit for a job that was done perfectly! Pictures to display the hard work they've done!!! read more

I was disappointed in the service I received at Hurt Cleaners. The seamstress quoted me $35 to do two adjustments on a pair of trousers but I was charged $55 when I picked the work up. The clerk would not accept my word that I was quoted $35. This amount is too much for the work performed. I will not be back. read more

one of if not the best high end cleaners in Nova, service is great with friendly staff. would recommend this to family in friends for their quick turn around on clothing brought in. Ive brought simple clothing to my suits that needed special care and they really listen to what i need as a customer this is awsome. read more

Worst place! Don't let them hurt your clothes or your pockets! They broke my jacket, wouldn't fix it, and in order to give me back my money they wanted to keep my jacket! read more

I brought in my first batch of clothes for dry cleaning in the last week or so as I found them close to my apartment. In short, their service is astonishingly good. For me, it was like going to the Four Seasons of dry cleaning - so much attention to detail and incredible communication (including leaving me a voicemail with some details about a specific shirt). I had a good dry cleaner before I moved to Arlington -- I went there for more than 15 years because they were so friendly and did a good job overall. Hurt has shown that the dry cleaner experience can be taken to the next level. I will definitely use them exclusively in the future! read more

My favorite cleaners ever, they are the only high-end dry cleaners in Va that I know of so far. Whether I come in for a straight forward cleaning or for taking extra care on my clothes, this place stands out as the best great value. Could not recommend this business more their quality is incomparable to other places and the customer service is wonderful the friendliest people they also do delivers. read more

As a first time customer I was throughly impressed with their customer service attention to detail and lack of over pressing my clothes. Additionally I had two pair of pants altered and they turned out great. Glad to find a great new dry cleaners after my old one changed management. read more

Quality of service is good, but it's very expensive. They will charge you extra without making the cost clear. Some shirts costs more than others because they said they can't use a regular machine, even though I've had it done with other dry cleaners as a regular service. The problem is the communication where they don't tell you it'll cost more, and they'll just charge you extra when you pick up your clothes. There's many dry cleaners nearby with the same quality at a lower cost. read more

Extremely expensive to have items laundered. The complete prices are not listed on the website, they mischaracterized the item which resulted in me paying more, and when I went back to get it adjusted, they were very murky about what the actual cost was to have my items laundered. I've been a customer for over 20 years and always found their charges to be reasonable. Won't use their services again. I get it that dry cleaning businesses are losing money in this era of business casual/work from home. That doesn't justify murky, expensive pricing. Lesson learned: always ask in advance for the cost. read more

Chris offered me phenomenal customer service today, and I'm very grateful! He is a stellar employee and helps to make this my all-time favorite dry cleaners in the Arlington area. read more

Bad customer service - always trying to upsell their service. I used to go there but now my go to place is gallery cleaners in Clarendon - so much better customer service there. Save yourself a trip read more

First time coming to Hurt Cleaners because my normal place couldn't get something back in time for business travel. They were able to get me my suit back SO QUICK!!! Thought I was gona spend my weekend hand washing work clothes but they saved the day! Really nice lady OTP and who helped me at front desk :) read more

Alterations only so far. Very happy with my alterations. It was a costume for my grand's dance recital. I will be taking my dry cleaning here from now on. read more

Brought in one blouse and two shirts for pressing/iron. They charged me $20!!!!!. When I asked how they calculated that, or what was the breakdown of the $20, they were not able to tell me they said that is the way it is. I think this is very overpriced. The laundry that I used to use three blocks away charges 2 to 3 dollars for pressing. Obviously they charge between six and seven dollars which is very very overpriced. Definitely will not return. read more

I just needed some dress pants hemmed. They did a great job! It was reasonably priced, cheaper than I expected. And they're super nice and easy to work with. I don't get tailoring or dry cleaning a lot but I will certainly be back if I need to. read more

Good service and very nice people working here. I've had tailoring work done here on top of the normal dry cleaning. I'm giving a three-star review strictly due to pricing. A few time's I left Hurt scratching my head thinking that it seemed a little pricey. What made me switch dry cleaners was when I brought 3 ties in that were a bit wrinkly. They charged me $6+ for each tie. I called another place and they charge $2.50/tie. This made me realize it was time to switch to a cheaper option in the area! read more

This is a great dry cleaner! The ladies that work here are very friendly and personable, and they really know their fabrics and garments well. The tailor is also very good and has quicker turnaround time than other tailors I've tried in the area. Prices are higher than some, yes, but they use high quality cleaning agents and do all their work in house. +1 for the nice classical music inside too read more

Quality and customer service is unsurpassed but it comes at a premium cost. If you can overcome the sticker shock, there are only positives. It's been around for over 50 years so I like that it's a local business that has thrived for decades. Hurt has its own parking lot which makes it convenient to run in and out quickly. They offer same day service for drop-offs Monday-Friday and weekday hours are 7am-7pm and Saturdays 8am-5pm. I dropped off a load of sweaters, slacks and blouses and they've never looked better. Ever the bargain-hunting, value-maximizer, I had the wrong strategy when it came to what I brought to Hurt. I had cheapey tops from New York & Company mixed in with D&G slacks, cashmere sweaters, etc. I buy everything on sale so unless it's the handful of irreplaceable designer pieces that I got deals on that I would be depressed about if anything happened to them (like the $20 D&G pants), I'm not that concerned about whether the dry cleaner screws up or, frankly, loses them. I had two tops that I paid $4 for and it cost more on the dry cleaning then what I bought them for. Now I have two dry cleaner bags - one for "Hurt-worthy" items and the other for one of those nondescript dry cleaners that says $1.39 in huge lettering on their signage. I would highly recommend bringing any clothes that you have an emotional attachment to Hurt because they will do an excellent job. read more

Hurt Cleaners is where I've been taking my dry cleaning for about 2 years since I've been living in Arlington. I'm honestly not sure what to compare it to since I've only used Hurt but it's been great for me! The prices seem reasonable and they usually are able to get your garments clean at a pretty quick pace! They also do patchwork and a lot of sewing. I've had a few pockets patched and a button sewn on a jacket before so they're real handy there! read more

Greater transparency on special services On February 4, 2017 I dropped off five shirts to have them washed and hand-pressed. On Monday, February 6, 2017 I received a telephone call stating one of shirts will need a patch on both arms. I approved the special order of putting patches on both arms of the shirt. However, the price of the patch job was not quoted or mentioned and second I did not asked for the price. When I picked up the shirts this morning, February 11, 2017 I was appalled to find the patch work costed $20.00 extra. I know every company has a price on various services though each patch to put on a shirt sleeve cost $10.00 a piece???? In the future please discuss the delivery of the necessary repairs to a customer garment and the price associated with it. This is transparency and this reduces the gut punch when you pick up your items. Not happy thus reducing my normal five star opinion to a two star opnion read more

This place is expensive; they charge top dollar for excellent service. If you want a bargain, don't come here. If you want garments cleaned, refurbished and/or altered with precision and TLC, I highly recommend. read more

Place is top notch! They are very accountable, organized and do excellent work. My clothes have rarely ever had an issue, and when the very few did arise, they handled with no charge. Hurt offers a variety of services, much of which I have used. I am very picky about dry cleaners, have been using them for almost 10 years and am very satisfied! Would highly recommend. read more

Quality cleaners, high prices. Closed on Sundays. Easy parking. In addition to regular dry-clean-only clothes, I recently had my wedding dress cleaned here, and they charged me $190, because of all the beading on it. Which I paid, because I knew they wouldn't mess it up. But really. That's a lot of money. read more

I haven't actually taken any clothes here, but I'm thrilled that I found a place that was able to wash a beat up, dirty, but much loved stuffed animal. I was afraid of putting it in the washer or handwashing it myself, so I tried a few dry cleaners, but no one was willing to take it. Hurt was fantastic. They advised against dry cleaning because of the chemicals and the proximity to a kid, but they said they could handwash it for me. They did and it's cleaner than I've seen it in years! The price was reasonable and it was even ready earlier than they had estimated. To be fair, I can't tell you how they are with clothes, but they're great with stuffed animals. read more

Principled, reliable and friendly cleaners who get the job done well. A little pricey and a bit longer than some, but ask yourself, do you want it good or do you want it fast? They also have a seamstress on premises from 9am til 6pm, and she does does good, though like the cleaners, pricey work. Examples: - Cleaning 2 jackets & a pair of pants: $21.50 - Tailoring jacket (shoulders only): $60 - Tailoring jacket (no sleeves or shoulders): $45 - Tailoring jacket sleeves: $20 read more

Great, convenient, quality cleaners. We started using Hurt when we lived in Clarendon back in 2005. We actually tried a couple other places when we moved into the city, but were very disappointed with the level of service, so we now make the 15-minute drive from the Hill to Arlington just to get our dry-cleaning done here (the large parking lot and after-hours drop box makes it easy to get in and out quickly). It's worth the drive. If you're worried about price, don't come here (1 star off for the high prices, and I almost took off 2 for the new $0.50/item rush fee they now tack on for same-day service - annoying). But if you care about quality, organic cleaning and stellar customer service where "everybody knows your name," Hurt is the best cleaners you'll find. They use environmentally friendly products and always go above and beyond to make sure you're happy. Whenever there has been a problem, they resolve it with no questions asked. They will also call if they notice any repairs that need to be done while cleaning and ask permission/give you a price for the repair before proceeding. Saved me an extra trip more than once. Again, if you're less concerned with quality than price, you'll probably get sticker shock ($7.50 for dress pants, $15+for suits). But if you have nice clothes that you want to last for the long haul and don't want them mangled by a $1.99 cleaner, I highly recommend this place. read more

Ended up here after a bad experience at another dry cleaners up the street. From the first day I walked in, the staff has been excellent. Very professional, friendly, and attentive. Dry Cleaning service is great, quick, and they text you when it's ready for pick-up...which I love. read more

I moved to Clarendon in 2007 and found Hurt Cleaners right away. I typically visit every week and they do an excellent job. Over the last 4 years, I have always dealt with the same associates and they are very nice and professional. They take pride in their work and handle all of my items with care. Only once, did I have an issue - it was minor and they handled it promptly and with great concern. Yes, there are cheaper alternatives, but I am willing to pay for the service - it is one less thing I have to worry about. They even opened up a Clarendon Valet in my building, and I still make the short drive over to Hurt.. See you today! read more

I have been associated with Hurt Cleaners for over twenty years. They are as consistent with their service today as they were back in the late nineties. I enjoy every one of the ladies I see when I frequent this establishment. We have a warm and friendly relationship and I look forward to catching up. They call when something has been left in the pocket and they call when they feel an alteration is necessary-and they are always right. This is my go to place for my husband's shirts because he is very picky. Thanks Hurt Cleaners you have seen my son through his adolescence and his questionable and foreign stains and now off to college. Cynthia Galli read more

This place did a very good job dry cleaning my comforter. It was finished pretty quickly and was able to be picked up the day after I dropped it off. It came back clean and in a nice bag! It was a bit expensive, $35 to have a comforter dry cleaned but they did a nice job! read more

The quality at Hurt is pretty good, but it's gotten way too expensive. I've been coming to Hurt for 4 years, but I'm going to have to find another place. Hurt has always had same-day service, but they just started charging a $0.50/item rush fee for that same-day service - on top of their already steep charge of $2.30/shirt. They also seem to be charging me an extra spot-treating fee ($2 or so) every few visits that I've never seen before. All in all, it's starting to cost way too much to get my shirts cleaned at Hurt. read more

This is the closest establishment to my apartment. I like how transparent they are when you drop off garments- they will flag any fabric issues and even tell you when something is inappropriate for dry cleaning. I am also pleased with how the garments are returned. However, I think they are more expensive than comparable quality cleaners (this does not include those .99 cents per garment places!) and for that reason I still use my dry cleaner in D.C. at times. read more
