Though I did not end up using the service, the employee in there was kind and patient as I was trying to figure if my capri pant needed hemming. She talked me through it and stated she liked the way the pants fit. She could've told me to hem them and make the money, but she instead gave me her opinion and stated she thought they were fine. I had about 4-5 items. Out of these, 3 of them were not cleaned properly. And I only just discovered it as I am packing for an overseas business trip and I am checking all my clothes. 2 Tommy Hilfiger navy blue dresses both have the smell of my underarms from wearing these on hot summer business days. I haven't removed the yellow dry cleaning tag yet because I haven't worn them, but they are clearly not cleaned well. And a pair of pants that had coffee spilled on them were dry cleaned twice at Penrose with no success in removing the stains. I was admonished that *nothing* will get the stains out -- they tried everything. Well, not wanting to throw them out, I put some Shout on the stains and placed the pants in the washing machine and the coffee stains came out. They are now getting ironed at another cleaners, and I expect they will look just fine. I have nothing against Penrose, I quite like the lady that works there, but I am saddened by the poor professionalism and the poor cleaning of my clothes. As much as I would like to frequent them as they are local to my community, I also need my clothes cleaned properly, and they are among the more expensive of the cleaners in my area. I sincerely hope they can improve their practices and regain business. But for now, they have lost mine. I thought I should share this with other people who need their clothes cleaned properly and need to be treated professionally. I wish you luck.

The initial service was impeccable, which is why I decided to return. I'm giving two stars out of grace for that first visit. Unfortunately, my second experience with the exact same item was disappointing. When I picked up my comforter, I noticed small specks of lint scattered across it. I brought this to the manager's attention, and while she insisted she personally handled my item and attempted to remove the lint, that explanation didn't align with the final result. If the issue couldn't be resolved, I should have been notified before leaving--not after I had to point it out myself. I did receive a refund, which I appreciate, but I genuinely wanted this to work. It seemed like the manager had already made up her mind that nothing further could be done, and there was no real effort to try to resolve the issue. At that point, I simply asked for my item back so I could take it somewhere that handles items with more care and attention to detail. It honestly made me question whether my comforter was mixed in with others during the process, especially since I take great care in maintaining it, including regularly steam disinfecting it at home. What was also frustrating was that instead of focusing on my concern, the manager began explaining how other customers' items can come in, as if I was expected to sympathize. My only concern was the condition of my item. Based on this experience, I would recommend keeping it simple here--stick to everyday dry cleaning. I would not suggest bringing larger bedding items like comforters or duvet covers, as the quality and attention to detail may not be consistent.

There is a small waiting area with a TV and chairs, but there is also a lot in the area if needed (restaurants, bakeries, etc.). Everything was very clean! I'll absolutely be returning to this laundromat for my bedding. I will say that I came here late at night so it wasn't crowded, although I could see this place being busy at "peak" times due to the quality and price.

This is a terrible laundromat. One of the washers overflowed and when I alerted an employee, she…read moresaid it was because I put plastic in it and overloaded the machine, but then look surprised when she saw that I just had a few small items in a double load washer. I used a Tide pod for detergent (this was the plastic she referred to). Incidentally, my other washers that had more items in them did not have an issue with the Tide Pods. Also, if this is an issue, there should be signs posted warning customers not to use them. Once the washers were complete, everything came out heavy and wet, and seemed to be barely spun dry. As if the spin option was not working in the 8 washers I used. Further, the dryers are nearly useless. I had to pay for at least an hour on each dryer that only had a handful of items in them, before they finally dried. Forget about using low or medium heat, your clothes and anything inside will still feel wet and cold. And high heat with make them feel warm and still take forever to dry your items. Overall, the employee was rude, the machines did not do a good job cleaning my clothes, some of which still looked dirty, and the dryers barely worked. This place also has televisions, none of which were turned on, a locked bathroom, dirty floors and tables, and out of order machines. This place is a waste of time and money. I recommend you try somewhere else.
