I need some junk removal done so I can finish setting up my apartment. When I put out a request for junk removal quotes on Yelp, Junk Aide was the first to reply and they offered a very reasonable price quote. I booked an appointment. To their credit, they called when they were en route to let me know they were on the way. Unfortunately, they were about two and a half hours early. I was not home ready and waiting at that time and couldn't get there. I had only planned on being there at roughly the time of the appointment. So we setup for the following day. They showed up promptly and on time on the rescheduled appointment. However, the price had more than doubled. They insisting on charging for the fact that my apartment is a third floor walk up, which requires climbing stairs even though I had specifically asked on the phone whether there was a charge for stairs and been told no. The bait-and-switch ended up making them among the most expensive estimates I had received. I declined to let them do the job. As a result of this bait-and-switch, I am now having to find someone else to do the job. Definitely disappointing, to say the least, and this company is simply disqualified from working for me again. Large project two bedroom apartment that was full of, junk, old furniture, carpets, beds, that were trash. I also had a significant number of books, clothing, and dishes for donation. I called a charity and they would only take 15 bags of clothing, per appointment, on their pick-up. I needed to clear everything out quickly, and affordably. Unlike all of their competition!!! I was able to schedule a pick-up with Junk Aide for the next day, at a set time. Their pricing structure is straight forward, no hidden charges, and posted on their website. They will also route items for donation. Exactly on time Jeff and Kyle arrived, gave me an assessment of how much they could fit in one full load (their pricing is based on how much of the truck you fill). We would probably go over one full truckload, but not by much. They offered to come back and do another load the same day if I still had things left over. They did a fantastic, efficient, clean, careful removal of everything, and we were amazed at how much they fit into the initial load. Their service was so good we elected to have them come back for the little we had left, but to also take all the remaining donation items as well. Jeff and Kyle did such a good job, and left us completely cleaned out in a matter of hours. They saved us a tremendous amount of work and time. It would have required waiting for the charity on two more days (sometime between 8 & 5) for the items to go to good use. Junk Aide came to our rescue and turned a nasty junky two car space into a garage that we can be proud of. Our garage was densely packed with old furniture and random garbage. I scheduled a service through their website to get an extremely old fridge in the basement removed. I was somewhat skeptical because it was such an easy scheduling process that I asked myself "Can it be this simple? Will they show up on time or not show up at all?" I'm so glad they proved me wrong. These guys are extremely prompt, professional, and efficient. Ray called me on the morning of the service to inform me the approx. time of arrival, to which they arrived exactly as promised. What a relief from many other services that provide a 2 hour window but don't actually show up until 2 hours later without prior communication. Since I don't have a walkout basement, the fridge door had to be removed to fit the fridge through a small basement door, and were very careful in doing so to avoid damaging my hardwood floor. The entire process from when they arrived until the fridge was loaded and ready to go took no more than 18 minutes. read more

This company is great! We contracted them to remove a lot of items that we accumulated over 10 years of living in a relatively large home. We decided to downsize to a smaller home. Scheduling the pick up was easily done online via the company's website. We received an immediate call to verify our need. The rest was just so easy. The truck and two gents arrived on time, after emailing us to give us an update on their expected time of arrival. They were very professional and removed everything that we had identified as needing to go. Their skill at loading the truck is outstanding. The cost was very reasonable. They did all of the work, including making a path through snow to remove a large item through my back yard door. Called JunkAide Friday afternoon at 4pm, was able to schedule a pickup for 12-2pm the next day. Was called at 11:30 to say they would be here in 20 minutes, and they arrive on the dot. Two men arrived with a truck and dollies and such. After I showed them what needed to be taken away, they gave me an a acceptable price, then got right to work. Worked without complaint in a room with no air conditioning on a 90 degree day. After 50 minutes everything was gone!
