Been a customer for 30+ years. Bridal Gown was ordered 3 sizes too big (not a Tarrant Co. bridal shop). Strapless gown would slide right off my daughter. Sarah did a REMARKABLE, perfect job, literally re-building the bodice. She added the bustle and hemmed but the work on the top was Amazing! We will post pics following the wedding. My daughter & I could not believe the outcome. We felt like she saved the day! read more

I used Sarah's Tailors to hem a pair of dress pants and the alteration was decent. Then I bought a new blazer, a nice, all-wool, expensive jacket, and took it in to ask her to shorten my sleeves. The jacket had beautiful hand stitching, including faux hand-stitched buttonholes on the sleeves. She told me she could only shorten my sleeves a certain amount (about a quarter to a half inch) because of the buttons (i.e. to leave enough material between the 3 buttons and the hem of the sleeves). I agreed, as this meant the sleeves would be shortened without disturbing the buttons or the hand stitching. Well, when I picked the jacket up, she had re-set the buttons, removed ALL of the hand stitching AND left picks in the fabric all along the area around the buttons from removing the stitching!! She could have shortened the sleeves more if I had known, or wanted her to, take it all apart and move the buttons. I was extremely disappointed, furious, actually, because all she would have had to do was call me and ask me about removing the stitching. One of the sleeve's row of buttons are not even straight in a row, they are crooked. All of this occurred after spending nearly $50 for the alteration to an already-expensive jacket. When I spoke to her about it, she said 'I made a mistake'. Then she went to get her husband from the back of the store and we went through the situation again. He told me I HAD MADE A MISTAKE by not 'asking her about the buttons'!! This was MY FAULT, according to him, as well as hers!!! He offered to 'try to hand stitch' the threading that was removed but I was too concerned about the jacket looking even worse and then needing to remove stitching in the same spots that already had damaged, picked fabric. They snippily took a $50 bill out of the register and handed it to me and said "Keep the change!" If you have nice clothes, if you want to be treated with respect, do NOT go to this tailor. read more

Way overpriced. She charged me $90 to hem a dress (granted, in a few days). the dress itself only costs $99 -- it ended up still being too long in the front. My friend got hers done at another alteration store and she was only charged $50. Complete rip off read more

I took 5 Pair of pants, 3 of which were dress slacks, and several other items because I lost weight. This is THE WORST ALTERATIONS I have ever seen . I tried several of the pieces on while I was there and showed her my frustrations and she said well that is all I can do. I wish she would have told me she could not so it before she butchered my clothes i don't think they can be fixed at this point because of how she did it. They do not lay flat in the back. I am just sick. DO NOT GO HERE!! read more

They were so sweet with helping me rush to get my pants hemmed ! Highly recommend :) !

I've been coming to this tailor shop for many years. The owners have changed but the quality of work has always been superb! They are very friendly and kind. The recent change of ownership was seamless and she has such a cute little dog names "Simba". If you need something fixed please come here. I once had a friend come here to get her wedding dress fixed because the previous tailor left a seam looking uneven. The dress turned out perfect because I brought it here! read more

Sarah's Tailors is the place to go for all of your tailoring needs in Grapevine. Sure you "could" shorten those sleeves on that nice jacket you own. You lost weight but can't bear to give up your favorite jeans and the last time you picked up a needle and thread was when Jon Stewart was on the Daily Show. Heck now that you mention it I don't even remember picking up a needle and thread in the past decade except at those nice hotels when they give you a mending kit. The staff here are very courteous and they really know what they are doing. The draw back here is that it is cash only. This is not a showstopper at all just a friendly FYI. As for time of your garment coming back to altered expect about a week or less. If you are like me and you need to cut a few inches off of new pants, or want the sleeves of your new suit to look good then come here. read more

Great service and absolutely invisible mending off wool sweater! I will definitely go back! read more

Thank God for Sarah's. Sarah's is THE place to go for any tailoring. She has fixed so many of my clothes. When my sister passed I got some of her clothes. They were all a little big for me. Sarah fixed everything I wanted done. She makes you feel comfortable all the time. Never judging. Always professional and kind and talented. Thank you Sarah's for being dependable and available. You rock. They get my business every day of the week. 10 stars out of five. read more

amazing!! went here bc of the reviews and glad i did. during thanksgiving week and sarah was able to have me pick me jeans up in less than 2 days! amazing and quality work. will be coming back read more

I've been in to have a couple of nice garments hemmed and have been very satisfied. Great service, reliable, fair pricing and will get it done within reasonable time. read more

Rude and completely dismissive. I have been in there a handful of times (more times than needed) to get a simple alteration on pants. Each time, she completely overlooks me to help other customers, even if someone comes in behind me. Went in there tonight to pick up a pair of pants she has tried to alter five times because of her poor work and a guy literally walked in behind me and she stopped helping me to talk to him. No. That is not how you do business. And on top of that, she laughed and dismissed me when I called her out. She is also rude when you don't have your ticket. And the pants she has worked on five times still look bad. If you can't do the work, then you need to offer a refund. I will be contacting the BBB. read more

I brought in a dress for my son's wedding to be hemmed (25 days prior to wedding) .... she told me since it was double layered it would be $79 to hem. Also wouldn't be ready until 4 days before the wedding. I cancelled my order and went to ACE alterations in Ft. Worth and he told me the under layer didn't need to be hemmed at all. Only the top layer needed to be hemmed and he charged me $38 plus tax and it would be ready in less than a week. I will let anyone reading this make their own decision after reading the truth about what I posted. read more

Absolutely Phenomenal!!! Extremely Fast!!! Great Customer Service!!! Excellent Alterations!!! Strongly recommend.

Terrible service. I took my dress that I was going to wear at a wedding in paris. I said I would travel on the 4th july! Couldn't pick up on sat. I was not told it was going to close from Mon to wed for holiday, they did not phone or text me asking to pick it up earlier because it was going to close!!! I need to buy a new one! Also price is expensive comparing to the around services! read more

We have used Sarah's Tailors for the whole family. She has helped with altering new suits for my husband, alterations for me & just did a beautiful job on shortening a long dress for my daughter. Her work is impeccable. I highly recommend Sarah. read more

Sarah's tailoring is superb! I brought a pair of slacks and a suit to her 2 days before New Year's. When I came to pick it up I was so impressed with everything when I tried it on. There were quite a few parts I needed to have altered. She made it all fit like a glove. I also needed to get measured for some other clothes being made for me overseas and she would not even let me tip her for going above and beyond. Highly recommend! read more

I needed my bridesmaids dress ready and in a week and she got it done. It was perfect she did an amazing job and the price was fair which is a plus. She is very sweet and her shop looked well organized. I will be coming back to get my scrubs and jeans hemmed since I'm 4'9 and nothing is ever the perfect length. read more

Exceptional and quick service! I had procrastinated taking a dress that I was having pictures made in for alterations. However, Sarah's Tailor was able to alter my dress in a week's time, which was much faster than I expected. They take cash or check only, but their quality and service was worth the trip to the ATM for me. I would highly recommend them and I will be using them for all my future tailoring needs. read more

They are crazy high in price. They usually try to charge me more then I paid for the clothes to start with. And there is no posted price schedule - the price is never the same is dependent on what she feels like for he day. read more

Went to this tailor shop as had previously brought clothes here when owned by Sara. New owner and quality of work is now awful. Loose buttons, crooked seams, outside seam work on underslip vs inside seam. New owner said they were related to Sara; but I have my doubts. For simple jeans and or simple cuff work, this place will suffice anything else that requires attention to detail or actual tailoring, go elsewhere. read more

Ensure you understand and agree to the pricing before you leave the work to be done. Our last visit was highly misleading. We have used Sarah's for many years for work clothes, prom dresses, etc. Regrettably, they lost a customer. read more

My daughter and I have taken many items of clothing to Sarah. From t-shirts to prom dresses. Every order has been precisely completed. Along with the wonderful work done here. Sarah and her family are extremely personable and polite. They really care about their work and making customers happy. I'm sending my dad there tomorrow! read more

I have been a customer for about 15 years and was always satisfied with the work I received. It appears that this business has changed hands and customer service is not what is was in the past. I think I will be looking somewhere else for tailoring. read more

I am an unpaid training student for a major airline and needed two dresses tailored. with no car and limited knowledge on tailoring pieces, I went to Sarah's tailors and asked to get my two dresses hemmed and waist taken in one inch. i was told that to hem the dress was going to be $60 EACH. So $116 + tax for two dresses to be hemmed and waist taken in. upon researching, I found many other seamstress' with much lower prices ($12 for hemming and $15 for waist) I came in on a Thursday and was told the dresses would be ready the following Thursday. Well, I called this morning at 9:51AM on a MON. asking if my pieces were ready; if they were not ready I wanted to pick them up so I can get this service done at a more cost efficient place since the dresses themselves didn't even cost $60 each. i was told on the phone by the owner that the pieces weren't ready and that I could pick them up. So I ubered to the tailor from my training center and was yelled at for 10 minutes because "I never called" upon showing the owner proof of the outgoing call, I was told that calling today was "too late" when I tried to calmly explain that is not what she told me on the phone, she proceeded to speak over me. i ended up giving her $65 for the two pieces. i am leaving this review so that other trainees are aware that $30 to hem a uniform is not the norm. i feel as though I was taken advantage of. read more

I bought a vintage dress in Austin - a very simple, shift-type thing - but it was in horrible condition and way too big. The fabric was gorgeous, though, and I figured I could get it repaired and fitted easily enough. I chose Sarah's because I read a few good reviews online. And I'm so glad I did! They fixed it so that it fit perfectly, and they repaired all the rips and tears. And guess how much they wanted to charge! TWENTY ONE DOLLARS! I told them that was ridiculous, they had basically resewn the entire thing! I paid the $21 and tipped another $24. It was well worth it. I wore that dress to a wedding recently. I looked amazing. read more

Awesome alterations, absolutely recommend! I've taken everything from jeans (they do the original hem for like $20 only), bridesmaid dress, slacks, and blouses, and they always do a great job. Very sweet owner, and there have been a couple of times where I needed something done really quickly and she came through for me. Definitely recommend this place. read more

If I could give less than a 1 rating I would- Took my daughters wedding dress in to be hemmed, cap sleeves put on, bustled, and a comb sewn on a veil. This was months early as my daughter lives in Austin- I personally called them 3 times to check on the status of the work and asked twice that they keep ALL material they cut off.I was told they don't throw material away, no problem it would be in the bag with the dress. I paid in full, $425.00 CASH the day we dropped the dress off!!! We went to pick it up on Saturday the 14th- We were told All of the extra material had been THROWN AWAY. No straps were made (which we now can't match or have someone else make since we have no material). the BUSTLE consisted of 1 small eye hook sewn on the middle of the back of the dress- What??? The veil was CUT while we were there, and not sewn at all. There was a rip in the veil and the way they fixed it was they GLUED IT!!!! To make it even worse she told me I owed her $325.00, that I hadn't paid!!!! Unbelievable!!! We got most of our money back but now my daughter will have no straps for her dress and we have to go to another tailor to get the dress bustled like it should have been in the first place. Not a great experience. Do not go here if you want work done professionally and don't want to be told you haven't paid!!!! read more

The other reviews are right. This is by far the best tailor in town. I had my suit altered here after several failures at the retailer I bought it from. Absolutely perfect and very reasonable price. I would recommend to anyone. read more

A website would be helpful so people don't drive out of their way to find out your holiday hours and that you're closed.

This place is my new favorite tailor! Great courteous professional service! And prompt! No credit cards but that's ok. Pay when you pick up! I couldn't be happier with their service. I used to be a client of cho's tailor in Southlake but recently they've become a little too pompous for my taste, and a little rude if you ask me. Come to Sarah's! They'll do you right! I needed a pair of slack hemmed and tapered on a Friday morning and the owner said "no problem, see you tomorrow before 4 p.m". Prices are very affordable and great quality work! read more

I bought a leather jacket that I planned on wearing Halloween night. It came in a week before and it was way too big. I took it to Sarah's Tailor and they did a beautiful job at a very fair price all in time for Halloween. I hadn't ever gotten anything tailored before, but I was very impressed with the service. If I ever need to get anything else altered, I'm taking it here. read more

I bought a leather jacket but needed the arm length shorter and needed to add snaps on the cuff closer in. They deconstructed for arms and procured snaps that went great with the other snaps on wrist. Great job. Sometimes I had to ask again what they said in their accent, but in any case, they totally knew what they were doing and what I wanted. Great job and value. read more

Highly recommend. I had a finely-knit sweater repaired here. It had a golfball-sized hole in the elbow and the "patch" they used to hide it was seamless and close to/nearly undetectable. (It's hard to explain, but they sewed the patch in the same direction of the sweater's knitting.) read more

I have been taking my clothes to Sarah's for at least 10 years now. She is fantastic and reasonable. If on the rare chance she didn't get the tailoring right, she will fix it, no charge. Highly recommend Sarah! read more

There is nothing that Sarah's Tailor cannot do! We brought her footed summer pj's for our granddaughter and she was able to shorten the arms and legs and still keep the zipper working. I have taken her so many different kinds of articles of clothing over decades and the result is always perfect and beautiful. She does not rush her work so you cannot be in a hurry, although once I took her a boy's jacket to be altered for a religious ceremony and she turned it out very quickly and did not even charge me because it was for the boy's church service! Love this place and their work and would never go to another tailor. read more

By far, the best tailor in NE Tarrant County!! I've been to many tailors in the area and Sarah offers the highest quality tailoring at very, very affordable prices. I had a custom request to update my favorite silk blouse, and it was perfect. She only accepts cash, but I have been so pleased with the outcome. Be sure to call to check when her hours are open. read more
