This is part of a multi-use group of buildings and they seem to have the prime spot right at the corner. When I walked in, I was welcomed by a clean and pleasant space with high ceilings and green and gold decor. It's all new and there is a variety of seating types. I chose to sit at a small table near the side entrance. They have so many great food and beverage options, it was hard to choose. The nice young lady who took my order was very patient with me - I had lots of questions being my first time here. I ended up with a Mocha Pearls drink, Nutella Dubai Baklava, and an Almond Croissant. The drink was supposed to have chocolate pearls in it but I suppose since I ordered it hot, they melted. It basically tasted like a chocolate mocha so I would like to come back and try something different next time. The baklava sent me to the moon and back - I love chocolate baklava and it's hard to come by. Add the "Dubai" crunch kataifi with pistachio and I'm done! It was amazing! The Croissant was served warm and it had an almond paste inside. Soooo fresh and good! I love the attention to details and the care they took to serve everything so visually appealing. I appreciate that added touch. I will be back - and likely often!

In all fairness, I'm probably not the target market here - they have a huge drink menu with lots of different syrups and flavorings but I'm more of a no frills coffee person. The first time I got a plain latte and it was just ok, so this time I tried one of their specialties - the Mont Cloud. I assumed it would be mostly coffee and some cream but I guess it was a cloudy day because it was mostly cream (and ice) for $7. I also decided to try the basbusa because I've never had it before, but again ended not being up my alley since it's syrup-soaked. Oh well. The inside is decorated really cute and there's lots of different kinds of seating. They also have an outdoor patio area. Free parking since this coffee shop is located in a little strip mall. 3.5 stars overall.

Frankie was a former dean of the Kresge Library and a donor to the endeavor. Anyway, the café offers a delightful abundance of fresh fruit, assorted muffins, bagels, salads and sandwiches from Chartwells (OU's dining service provider). The café also highlights Peet's Coffee & Tea; a California based coffee company that holds the first Gold Certified LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design), very artisan, organic and environmentally friendly. The café is a very contemporary lounge with black and gold motif and paintings featuring local artists adorning the walls. There are booths, personal tables, and raised bar-style tables perfect for studying or just enjoying an afternoon of kaffeeklatsch. The café provides convenience to students, especially when mugging up for an exam.

I ended up ordering the southwest wrap that had grilled chicken turkey, bacon, spinach, avocado, corn, cheddar, red onion with chipotle aïoli. The sandwich was absolutely delicious with the accompanying green salad equally tasty. Definitely a superior sandwich and one of the best I have had in the area. This is a walk up counter order operation, where you sit at a table after ordering and they bring the food out to you. Just something to note in the event you are looking for a sitdown service as this business does not offer that. Having said that, if the quality and the taste of your food is the top priority, which it is in my case, I'll come to a walk up counter order operation all day long for sandwiches like this! Relative to the Interior it is very clean and contemporary with basically no decor or vibe to speak of. They just focus on the food and let that do all the talking. Staff was very friendly based on the minimal interface I had with them. Overall, sandwich shops with this quality are few and far in between and if excellent deli type sandwich shops are your thing you absolutely should check this business out.

I reviewed the menu before I left, and they seem to have a great selection of items that are healthy and reasonably priced. I was torn between the parifat bowl and the breakfast burrito, but the gal at the register convinced me to get the burrito instead. Next time, I'm doing the parifat. The total was about $14 and change, and I was pleasantly surprised at how big the portion was when it came out. They also have a great, but limited selection of coffee drinks with pictures as well. I stuck with water this time since I was good on the coffee. Food was great, even though I was confused about what bread it was served on. I went with the turkey sausage which I normally don't like because it's just so salty. I also received a nice salad with it as well, which was good and healthy. I really like it here, it's better than my usual coney island and in a great location. I know this place used to be a sub shop back in the day, but they closed some time ago. Mostly healthy food options here and have great hours. You can eat healthy with some flavor in your food, thus, Lula's.

You can tell this is truly a family operation. There is such attentive and impeccable service here. Every time I've been, I've felt genuinely welcomed and taken care of. The food is absolutely outstanding. I've been back multiple times now, and my favorite is the spiced pork wontons with noodles. The wontons are crispy and juicy on the inside, and the noodles soak up all the spicy oil flavor. This is the kind of dish I find myself thinking about later. The mango crispy chicken is another must-order. Crispy chicken with that sweet mango flavor sounds simple enough, but it just works. It has a perfect balance of sweet and spicy, my favorite combination. Oakland Tea House is exactly the kind of small, family-run restaurant I love finding. Great food is one thing, but great food combined with genuine hospitality is what makes a place memorable. I will always find my way back to this place; highly recommend.

The first time my wife and I stopped by it was closed (Monday and Tuesday) If you enjoy authentic Asian cuisine I highly recommend you give this place a try. The owner ( Vingy for short) greeted my wife and I and helped us choose menu items based on what we liked, etc. We were one of two parties in the very small dining room ( eight tables) when we arrived and by the time we ate our dinner there were no tables available. We started with pork dumplings and cucumber salad as our appetizers. The salad was the freshest I've had anywhere. Bright, delicious but not overpowering. The dumplings were tasty and perfect in the two dipping sauces that accompanied these tasty morsels. I ordered the Dan-Dan noodles while my wife ordered one of the crispy chicken dishes (garlic). My noodle dish was filled with handmade noodles, braised pork and fresh aromatic vegetables. I could have licked the bowl it was that good. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her chicken entree as well. We ordered a pot of oolong tea that became more tasty as we let it steep at our table. This is the most authentic Asian food I've ever had hands down. Needless to say, we will be back to sample the other items on the menu.
