Saw them on Instagram and had to give them a try. I ordered a cappuccino and my friend had the chai tea latte iced. We were super happy with our drinks. The space inside is super small and had no indoor seating; you just have to grab and find a seat in the side alley. No seating in the front of the shop. This is great for the warmer weather, but not so much when it starts getting colder. At that point, it's just a grab and go; you can't linger. Price point is solid as well. Not overpriced like all the other spots. Baristas were nice and service was quick. I wished they had ceramic and glass cups for the drinks instead of the paper cups for those who choose to sit outside. But I understand that this coffee shop is more geared towards grab and go. The seating in the alley was just an added convenience and it's seems to be a shared space with other shops.

Delicious coffee and some really unique options here! The staff are helpful and the service is usually quick despite the line. I wish the sandwiches were served all day, we've been in twice and haven't been able to get one yet. The prices aren't terrible and I love that they do a frozen coffee. There's no seating inside, more of a grab and go spot. Would recommend checking this spot out!

Still one of the best spots to get a coffee in the royal oak clawson Troy area! Also one of the most affordable and quality lattes for under $6. Just updating to mention they have updated their interior and have digital menus rather than the physical menu they used to have!

My go to local coffee shop! Best coffee and great staff! They have seasonal drinks available and I love their frozen drink as well. Highly recommend!

Going 5 stars. This is my favorite coffee place. Best mocha in my opinion. I bought ground coffee for my wife to brew at home. She asked for more, which she never does. The staff is always friendly even when it gets busy.

Staff are super friendly. Place is small but cute. They take their time to make your coffee with love. They have milk alternatives and plenty of add in flavors for your liking with a small up charge. I'll definitely be back!

We spotted this place across the street from White Wolf Patisserie, so we stopped by! No seating inside, it's just a small space where you walk up to the counter and order. There was a line with 2-3 people in front of us, but it wasn't slow. 3 workers were inside. One working the register and the other 2 making the drinks. I got a latte with the vanilla bean syrup, while my sister got a plain cortado. Really delicious syrup and a nice espresso! Probably one of the best lattes I've had in a while! They do sell a good amount t of pastries here. In vegan options! It looked like they had a walk up window on the side of the building but it didn't seem like they were using it. Dogs are allowed inside though. They do have merch. One of the t-shirts they had looked cool! Parking is parallel around here! But in the morning, it's not too bad. Seems most people who go here are able to walk to it. And it's a popular spot too! A line formed behind us as we waited to order!

Stopped by for the first time after walking past many times. The coffee shop does not have indoor seating, but there is a lot of outdoor seating. It had a nice ambiance, and great music. They also sell coffee beans and shirts. I got the honey cinnamon iced latte, because I love a great cafe con miel! It was kind of pricey, $6.30 including tip. It has a very strong roasted cinnamon taste, which I personally love. The honey helps balance the cinnamon. The espresso is smooth with a subtle richness. Would recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

This is right across the street from my favorite sushi spot and one of my favorite patisseries. It's a smaller spot and there were about five people in line. The folks working seemed to know everyone and they were whipping up all sorts of drinks while maintaining their conversations, impressive! I got the cold brew, this coffee is really good. Lots of choices on the menu and I'm sure they're all distinct in their own way. Not much else to say really, it's a coffee shop and they have excellent coffee. I would call that a win.

    Ube latte

Got the ube latte because it was their special. Comes with 2 shots of ube and 1 shot of espresso. They said it was just as popular as honey cinnamon oatmilk latte and not overly sweet, which got me interested. $6.5, so on the more expensive side. I would say looks and aesthetic was 10/10. Taste is 8/10 because it truly was tasty and not very sweet, and on par with honey cinnamon, however 5-6/10 on par with "ube" flavor. In other words, it was a good drink but did not taste like ube even after two shots of ube, which is powdered and not the solid real stuff. I'm glad I tried but probably won't get it again. Service was good despite the line being out the door.

Ask the Community - Sabbath Coffee Roasters

If bring your own beans can you pay to have them roasted?

Unfortunately we do not have a program to accommodate that! Sorry.

    Is this a religious establishment?

Hi! Thanks for asking, no we are not a religious establishment or affiliated with any religious. We picked the name Sabbath for it’s definition of rest or to take a pause or respite!… Read more

Is there a place to sit and read/work?

No, it's very small and loud inside. Believe there is only a bench by the window to sit and wait for your drink.

We entered in on Mother's Day expecting a full house, but found ourselves confused when there was no one in the store. We ended up saying hello repeatedly in the store until someone came out of the back a couple of minutes later. While this came as a confusion, it wasn't the first time it's happened in the establishment when I've entered in. However, I must say I absolutely love the aesthetics and delicious goodies themselves! A very cozy and modern atmosphere with specialty drinks, such as an avocado-based shake, or mango ice cream with real honeycomb on top.

Ordered a Honey ginger tea and Arasi smoothie. $13.48 A staffer had us try their zero sugar ice cream, vanilla and mango. I am not a big fan of vanilla, it's too plain to me. They have an Oreo cone, that's unique. Pastries look interesting, but not appetizing though. The ginger honey tea is quite odd, not a big fan. The spices are not so good. It's got an odd taste that hits the back of my tongue and throat and makes it taste off somehow. My husband likes it less than me. This tea would have been left ad ginger and honey only. The odd concoction of spices made it really tough to drink. Like a bad medicine going down. They gave us a Boba straws and it doesn't fit inside the slot for the smoothie at all. The Vimto isn't for me, tastes like syrup to me. Smoothie would be better with mango only. We swapped drinks, since each of us could tolerate one drink over the other.

Was there in early June and the coffee and service were both good, as was the savory pastry I got. The main issue with this place is the noise... not for the usual reason in coffeeshops where they play music too loud, but it's a raucous and busy place, which speaks well of the business. But far worse than noisy conversation there's this bell on both the front and back entrances that plays a little five note electric tune every time someone comes in or leaves... Why is it there? Why is it needed? The fact that only a few people have noted it here perhaps speaks more of our noise-polluted lives than anything else, but it's maddening as this thing goes off literally every minute or more, constant, tintinnabulations of the bell, bell, bell, bell, bell... There was an employee taking a break on his phone listening to YouTube videos out loud, too... I guess we're all just so used to this now. So if you want a quiet cafe to get work done, this ain't it. Maybe it's more of a Central Perk scene, with people meeting socially, all who liked the place before it became cool.
