I start 5/7 days of my week at Sabbath. Like a ritual it's a critical component to my day. It is some of the best coffee available in the entire state of Michigan. At this point I'm not sure whether I go for the coffee or the "have a good day" I get when I'm headed out the door. Awesome friendly personalized service. Their single origin coffees are worth trying. Their seasonal blended drinks are unique and packed with creativity. If you go on a Saturday morning be prepared to wait in a line but it's worth it. Excellent coffee. I got the cappuccino to go. Enjoyed every drop of it. Glad we finally tried this place. They close at 4pm, and we missed it last time when we were in the area. Super happy we arrived before they closed this time. We originally asked for oat milk, but they missed it and made the drink with whole milk. Saw them on Instagram and had to give them a try. I ordered a cappuccino and my friend had the chai tea latte iced. We were super happy with our drinks. The space inside is super small and had no indoor seating; you just have to grab and find a seat in the side alley. No seating in the front of the shop. This is great for the warmer weather, but not so much when it starts getting colder. At that point, it's just a grab and go; you can't linger. Price point is solid as well. Not overpriced like all the other spots. Baristas were nice and service was quick. I wished they had ceramic and glass cups for the drinks instead of the paper cups for those who choose to sit outside. But I understand that this coffee shop is more geared towards grab and go. The seating in the alley was just an added convenience and it's seems to be a shared space with other shops. read more

I wish the sandwiches were served all day, we've been in twice and haven't been able to get one yet. The prices aren't terrible and I love that they do a frozen coffee. We spotted this place across the street from White Wolf Patisserie, so we stopped by! No seating inside, it's just a small space where you walk up to the counter and order. There was a line with 2-3 people in front of us, but it wasn't slow. 3 workers were inside. One working the register and the other 2 making the drinks. I got a latte with the vanilla bean syrup, while my sister got a plain cortado. Really delicious syrup and a nice espresso! Probably one of the best lattes I've had in a while! They do sell a good amount t of pastries here. In vegan options! It looked like they had a walk up window on the side of the building but it didn't seem like they were using it. Dogs are allowed inside though. They do have merch. One of the t-shirts they had looked cool! Parking is parallel around here! But in the morning, it's not too bad. Stopped by for the first time after walking past many times. The coffee shop does not have indoor seating, but there is a lot of outdoor seating. It had a nice ambiance, and great music. They also sell coffee beans and shirts. I got the honey cinnamon iced latte, because I love a great cafe con miel! It was kind of pricey, $6.30 including tip. It has a very strong roasted cinnamon taste, which I personally love. The honey helps balance the cinnamon. The espresso is smooth with a subtle richness. This is right across the street from my favorite sushi spot and one of my favorite patisseries. It's a smaller spot and there were about five people in line. The folks working seemed to know everyone and they were whipping up all sorts of drinks while maintaining their conversations, impressive! I got the cold brew, this coffee is really good. Lots of choices on the menu and I'm sure they're all distinct in their own way. Not much else to say really, it's a coffee shop and they have excellent coffee. I would call that a win. read more

I really wanted to like these guys when they first opened up, but unfortunately everything I've ordered has been off. The cold brew tasted terrible and I dumped it out after leaving. They do not offer any milk alternative except oat milk (gross) so that was also unfortunate. I once cashed out an $8 birthday offer they sent me, and the guy ringing me up wanted to give me the smallest size they had. I asked for a bigger size since I had $8 to use and got the 12 oz. and it felt like I was inconveniencing him. The lid on the drink had a strong plastic smell every time I put it near my nose. And the place gets cramped for space inside pretty fast if more than 3 people are in the store with no seating area. I know many love this place, but unfortunately I've just had negative experiences and don't plan to return. The biggest turnoff honestly is the lack of milk alternatives. Got the ube latte because it was their special. Comes with 2 shots of ube and 1 shot of espresso. They said it was just as popular as honey cinnamon oatmilk latte and not overly sweet, which got me interested. $6.5, so on the more expensive side. I would say looks and aesthetic was 10/10. Taste is 8/10 because it truly was tasty and not very sweet, and on par with honey cinnamon, however 5-6/10 on par with "ube" flavor. In other words, it was a good drink but did not taste like ube even after two shots of ube, which is powdered and not the solid real stuff. I'm glad I tried but probably won't get it again. Came here with my friend this afternoon and got the iced vanilla bean latte because I hear this place is known for it! First of all, the vanilla bean syrup is amazing. I like how much of the vanilla bean flavor there is and it's not super sweet. However, Sabbath is known for their light roasts so the espresso after taste isn't super strong. This latte is good, but if you want a stronger coffee flavor, then this drink might not be for you. The vanilla bean syrup also takes away the coffee flavor, which is expected. Definitely would recommend this drink to people who are latte enthusiasts and less so of a coffee purist. Still a wonderful drink on a sunny afternoon! I would probably want to try more black coffee drinks the next time I go. Overall, I am glad I checked this place out! It has a super interior aesthetic, great for pictures to satisfy your basic cravings! read more

Stopped by today while running errands in the area and I'm in love!! I had an iced vanilla bean latte and one of the delicious, indulgent vegan donuts, both of which I scarfed down in my car parked outside as soon as I left the store. Interior is super cute but I didn't linger very long given, ya know, the pandemic. I actually placed my order and stepped outside to wait for my drink via the walk up window on the side of the building (a really nice option BTW). The two staff members working this afternoon were SO friendly and cheerful, it was hard not to be in a great mood after leaving, and not just from the caffeine and donut sugar rush! The cold brew is phenomenal and the lattés do not skimp on the espresso--perfect ratio and not too sugary. Baked goods (I believe) are from Crispelli's. The VEGAN BANANA MUFFIN is WILDD. Order a hot chocolate with oat milk and a mocha with oat milk as well. There's a line outside to go inside, they also have a walk-up window in the alley. There's at least 6-8 people in line to enter, it's a small space inside. My husband likes the oat milk for coffees and he likes their mocha here. The chocolate milk is frothy and creamy, but doesn't have a strong chocolate flavor to me at all, it's rather weak, needs a chocolate oomph for sure. Too bad they didn't have hot cider available. Skip the hot chocolate and come for the coffee. The hot chocolate leaves a strange after taste. It's about the coffee and not their chocolate milk after all. read more

The owner is very kind (and energetic for 7:30AM) and seemed genuinely interested in getting to know his customers. Really disappointed in our experience here to say the least. Sabbath has been on my bookmarks for many months if not a year to finally try but since it's a 45 minute drive it's not a quick stop or anywhere along my route. I also really wanted to come out to try Dooped Donuts. I can say that I did not appreciate both employees starring me up and down the entire time I'm ordering as well as my sister. I did not appreciate being spoken to in a condescending manner as if I don't speak English just because of the way I look. I ask if there's any dairy in the frozen latte, I get a condescending response about oat milk. We'll, I can definitely see that on the menu, my question was regarding milk derivatives or byproducts since I have an allergy and frozen latte base generally contain milk enzymes. I also don't appreciate the amount of times I said please and thank you to get no response or to receive a dirty look in the end. Two of us were wearing hijabs and there were others in the building who were definitely not getting starred up and down. Who knows if they're having bad days or what, but the entire thing felt so unwelcoming and hard to really describe but without communicating with each other we all felt the same way when we walked out. Really unfortunate and I don't care how good the coffee or donuts are, I won't be coming back and I can get Dooped Donuts elsewhere. It's 2022 and that's far from "awake". I give the Dooped donuts 10/10. Coffee cups with the clever lid covers are also 10/10. read more

I got an iced caramel latte from here and it was good. I really liked the cup it came in. It's very sturdy and comes with a little lid cover to stop it from spilling if you're walking or in the car. The baristas were super friendly and helped me decide on a drink, since I don't like drinks that are too sweet. The inside was very clean and well-kept.
