I was greeted upon arrival, good amount of space with indoor and outdoor seating. At peak hours I was still able to find seating. Ambiance was great with a lovely view from all spots in the cafe. Lovely ambiance; super crowded at 10am on a Saturday, but I was able to get my drink pretty quickly. 10 minutes, I think. Folks were friendly, lots of places to sit, nice sunlight. I ordered the maple butter pecan latte, and while it tasted good, it really wasn't very hot - I could down it right away quickly. I should always order extra hot lattes, but I forgot this time. My wife and I went here for a morning coffee, she said the Salted Brown Butter Oat Draft Iced Latte was the best coffee she's ever had! I very much enjoyed my basic Drip Coffee and Plain Bagel, Chocolate Croissant was also amazing! Love love love Seven Sundays. I came here on a trip to Detroit and ended up going back 3 days in a row. The prosciutto and parm croissant is a must try! Very flaky, buttery, and slightly salty. The cinnamon roll is also super delicious and has that perfect crisp outer layer and fluffy inside. Their coffees and matcha are also delicious and not sickeningly sweet. Stopped here on a Tuesday evening for a latte and little treat with my boyfriend. Everything was tasty, though a bit on the expensive side. I got their seasonal latte the Autumn Spice and it was very delicious and cozy. The cardamom was not overpowering at all and I like that all of their syrups are made in house. This is definitely just personal taste but I cannot stand how sterile and bright this place is. I am definitely a cozy coffee shop kind of person and this place was just not doing it for me. It's looks ok inside, although the seats aren't comfortable and are hard, cheap looking plastic seats. They are all out of all of their croissants. Their cheesecakes do not look appetizing at all! Looks like they are a week past their consumption date to me. All of their pastries look picked over and look lack luster as well. We ordered two cinnamon Tulsi spiced teas, since it sounded interesting. ~$9 The Tulsi spiced tea sounded much better than it tasted. It's was not good at all. My husband and I both found that the cinnamon spiced tea was not so good at all. The Tulsi spiced tea smells bad and the taste is quite off too. I went up back to the counter and asked the female staff we could get a different tea, since the spiced tea is not good at all. I asked if I could get mint for mine instead or a refund for the tea. She said no. The female staff said she would have to charge me for any second tea. She said they are not allowed to replace a tea. Plus she said it's not her fault that I don't like the tea. I said it's bad though and wouldn't they rather have a satisfied customer than not? She said she can give me a different tea, but she will have to pay for a second tea. I asked why I would pay for a second tea, when I had a sip of the other one to know it wasn't good. She cannot replace the tea for free since they didn't do anything wrong, so it would be another charge for me to get a different tea. The female staff was so frustrating to me. It felt like she was blaming me and saying it was my own fault for wanting to try a spiced tea. I told her forget and left the full tea to go cups on the counter. Worst customer service we have ever experienced, maybe ever. It's all about money and not having happy customers. Guess they are about one and done with their customers then? This was a horrible 1st experience for this non-existent customer centric coffee shop. Left this place beyond shocked at the awful experience. Disgusted with this place. read more

I heard about this place from a nurse I had seen in the area. She told me there was a ton of shopping and just in a really cute area. I walked in and was wowed by the decor and furniture. Very futuristic meets cozy book reader. The menu was short and sweet, but the pastries were calling my name. I ordered the prosciutto and parmesan croissant from a very nice and positive barista and hoped that I had ordered two for one to take on the plane for later. I had high expectations when I looked through the window, but I just don't understand why on an evening when Royal Oak is hosting a large event and there's lots of people that are on foot that they would not staff accordingly. I hope they get the bugs out so this place stays open it's very cute on the inside. One last thing, this place specializes in turning the tablet around quickly and soliciting for tips - you might get whiplash at how fast it happens. I mean the lady did have to reach inside the glass display, grab a piece of cake, and place it in a neatly folded bag. What type of generous tip on top of the $5.67 must one add? Oh no I'm loyal to my coffee shops and wanted to try a new one with my mom this weekend. As self proclaimed connoisseurs, this place didn't meet the standards. -Customer Service: I completely understand when it's busy and crowded I know the barista didn't design the place, however, that doesn't excuse just waving a customer through so you can get through the line both on register and behind the counter. I got overcharged for one of my drinks and when asked she just waved us to the end of the counter. -Saw each step to make each coffee one cappuccino and one vanilla iced latte, we both knew the espresso was going to be burnt because of the rush, I hoped the vanilla would save it but the two flavors fought to be the bolder flavor. What the barista made was a shaken espresso with almond milk. Just one shot in a 16oz, SO many grounds on the bottom. -This is a personal preference but the cups make me feel like a giant baby, like I genuinely feel like I am drinking out of a toddler's cup. Also - the hot cup didn't come with a sleeve... The ice is also huge and takes up too much room. There's a lot of room for improvement here and I hope they do improve the next time I decide to try again because we NEED a good coffee shop in downtown Royal Oak that has both good coffee and service. read more

A fantastic little coffee shop spot! I got a Honey Rose Iced Latte and my friend had a Chai Rose Iced Latte. Both were incredibly delicious! We also got a piece of snickers cheesecake and the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie with the peanut butter filling (only available on weekends the barista said) and really enjoyed both. The interior is very aesthetically pleasing, modern vibe & I love the logos on the cups! The baristas were friendly and helpful. Only downside is, of course, the price. It's one of the steeper prices in Royal Oak of the coffee places I've seen thus far but I'd say overall a really great spot. They have a lot of interesting flavors and the rose in my latte really came through without being overpowering which I loved! Check it out! read more

It's fascinating to me how many coffee shops we have in royal oak and it seems there's no shortage of caffeine addicts around here. Everything was PACKED today including this brand new coffee shop, Seven Sundays. This place is aesthetically pleasing. It's minimalist vibes, clean and neutral color pallet. The only issue is it's so popular there was a bit of a line and a lack of seating. I got the small mocha and was prepared to be disappointed. Mochas are my go to winter drink and I was pleasantly surprised. The flavor was perfection. The temperature was hot but not burn your tongue hot. Saw an Instagram reel about this coffee shop and decided to give it a try! I love everything matcha, and their Iced Matcha Latte with strawberry was top tier. My boyfriend tried their Seven Sundays Latte and said it was too bitter for him so he would get it sweeter next time. One thing though was the Chocolate Croissant, it was a little stale and hard to eat. I can tell it would taste delicious if it wasn't stale but probably wouldn't get it again. I went early on a Saturday and there was still ample seating, but it quickly filled up. There are tables, WiFi, and outlets if you are studying or working, but the noise can get loud in the space. The coffee was wonderful - I had a vanilla cappuccino with oat milk, and a pastry. I was also obsessed with their mugs and plates! The stoneware was high quality and shapes unique.
