First I had heard of the chain. Went at closing and just grabbed one doughnut thinking it would not be as fresh from sitting all day. I was wrong, the strawberry glaze doughnut was delicious. Very fresh glaze and I could tell it was not just strawberry syrup whipped in but real ingredients. I will be back to try more.

Came here early morning, the fresh cronuts were DELISH! Service was great and they even gave me some bonus donut holes :). I was very excited to try a kolache, and ordered the jalapeño cheddar. It was pretty good, but not very cheesy like the ones I am used to from Texas. However, the freshly brewed coffee and donuts made it all in all worth the visit.

The staff here are the triple threat: friendly, funny, and helpful - a beautiful combo in food service. Their flavor game is seriously impressive - take the blueberry lemon poppyseed donut, which could have easily been a one-dimensional sugar bomb but instead hit all the right notes like a tiny edible symphony. The taro is apparently their claim to fame (and I can see why), plus they let you stuff your own fillings into certain donuts, which feels dangerously close to playing god but in the best way. Can't wait to come back and see what wild flavor combinations they've cooked up next.

Local vibe. Exceptional menu. Worth the drive! The breakfast croissant sandwich was amazing and the peach fritter may be my next favorite food.

Such a cute, family owned shop with super affordable pricing and donuts that are sooo soft and yummy. Definitely my go to place for a sweet treat :) Food 5/5 - I always love a classic glazed, the blueberry cake was delicious as well and the donut holes were literally so puffy and soft! Service and vibes 5/5 - welcoming chill environment and easy to get parking

Here's our mixed box, one Chocolate Raised Donut already down for the count.

Great traditional doughnuts, got a mixed box of chocolate and glazed raised doughnuts, a couple other kinds. Better than the grocery or DD. They will fill the doughnut on the spot with your requested filling and type of doughnut, which is pretty awesome, it's $2.99 for the convenience. Oh, and very friendly.

Great. The donut holes and blueberry donut are amazing. It's small in there, as with any donut shop. The people working were kind. No notes.

The donuts are good and the employees are polite. It's very busy because it's by Emory University Campus.

Fluffiest and freshest donuts I've had in Atlanta. Their LTOs and specialties looked really creative and delicious as well!

We drove 45…read moreminutes to try their offerings, because we have a celiac family member who is always on the hunt for "normal-tasting" items. I can confirm, they have only gluten-free items, but are also very conscious about other allergens. We enjoyed a massive cinnamon roll, one of their vegan berry pop tarts, a vegan breakfast sandwich (warm), a fun-fetti donut, and a sugar cookie. The flavors were amazing, textures were great, and service was fantastic. If I hadn't known that the items were gluten free/vegan, I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference. Absolutely worth the drive, and we will absolutely be back!

That was a while ago,…read morebut from what I understand, they are still really prone to selling out and it's best to order ahead online. I had planned to meet a friend who's gluten-free for breakfast on a Saturday morning at 9 am, and I thought we should probably order ahead when they open at 8. Their online ordering didn't open until maybe closer to 8:30 (it said it would open when they opened at 8), so that was a little frustrating to have to keep refreshing the page. But it did end up opening and we were able to place our orders. When we got there at 9:15, there was not a line and it seemed like they had plenty of inventory, but not sure if it was just a weird day? I had cookies and cream doughnut, and and oatmeal cream pie, and both were heavenly! My friend had a bacon egg and cheese biscuit and said that it was amazing. You order inside, and they have two tiny tables out front, but there's no other seating besides that. So it's more of a take away type place!

The husband loves sweets so he had to look up places to go for our dessert after our anniversary dinner. We came in around 9 PM on a Friday night. The place was empty but then a few folks wandered in. Though I suppose the pastries wouldn't be the freshest at this time of day, we were still impressed. We purchased the banoffee pie ($4.75) and pistachio cannoli ($4.95) donuts. Banoffee pie: With such an impressive name, the first bit did not disappoint. Though this donut looked more plain, the flavors were impressive. I guess the flavors were a mash of banana and coffee so hence the name. It was really delectable. Even the dough at this hour was still chewy and anything but stale. Pistachio cannoli: Impressive in presentation, but it's still more like a donut than a cannoli. Once you bite into it, you'll know it's more of a donut consistency than cannoli. The chocolate and pistachio coating added nice textures and flavors, but I wasn't a true fan since I was eyeing to have a true cannoli. The flavors were there, but it's just a donut dressed up as a cannoli. The Salty Donut is located in the Krog Street Market space. It's more on the street level around the perimeter than inside the market.
