Both experiences were A+ from start to finish. What sets Reliable apart is their communication. We were involved in every step of the process and always kept in the loop -- never left wondering what was happening or what came next. That level of transparency is rare and genuinely impressive. Our site manager, Mike Ducato, was outstanding. He kept everything running smoothly, managed the details, and made sure the project stayed on track. You couldn't ask for better. Both projects turned out better than we expected. When a contractor exceeds your expectations not once but twice, that says everything. We wouldn't hesitate to use Reliable again.

Satisfied Repeat Customer Here…read more We hired Reliable for two major projects: a complete kitchen remodel and two upstairs bathroom renovations, including our master bath. From design to final inspection, Reliable proved to be a trusted partner. What I liked most was Reliable's attention to our vision. They took time to discuss ideas, make suggestions, and offer alternatives before we finalized the design. Their dedicated design manager understands that choices can be overwhelming and patiently guided us on selections, colors, and materials. The quality of cabinetry, fixtures, and materials they use are top tier. Their project manager worked with us daily throughout the project, and the tradespeople were professional and respectful of our home. All big projects encounter issues at some point, but when they popped up, Reliable worked with me on solutions or alternatives. Though rare, Reliable has been there for us 100% for any issues that have arisen since the project completed, such as replacing a part, making an adjustment, or stopping by to offer guidance. Our kitchen is beautiful, functional, and the center of daily family time. Our master bath is a luxurious spa getaway. The 2nd floor bathroom features smart design to maximize the space while being easily usable by our 4 college students. We're thinking about our next project of adding a sun room. When ready, Reliable is who we will call. We wholeheartedly recommend Reliable for your home improvement project. You will get an incredible design, professional work, and (no pun intended) a reliable partner.

Dave was honest, trustworthy and upfront from the start. There was no sugar coating just to get the bid. He put thought into the project and cost aspect. What sealed the deal for us was his suggestion of additional electrical outlets for each daughter. His forward thinking was impressive. With all construction projects, dirt, dust and chaos are expected. We resigned to live that way. Dave surprised us though. A plastic door with a zipper was installed at the beginning of the demolition process. There was no dust and dirt throughout our home. We weren't constantly climbing around tools and construction materials. After each day's work, Dave cleaned up the work area. It was exciting to come home each day to see the progress and NOT see the mess. We are thankful for that alone. The project was on time and within our budget. NO SURPRISES! Dave worked with the materials we choose, which wasn't always ideal. His tile work was amazing and he even added additional shelving in the shower area. He replaced flooring and wall materials. It's amazing how much was done in such a short time frame to make our vision materialize. We love our new pre-teen bathroom with heated flooring! Exactly what we planned. Now the compliments are flowing, Thanks to DJI's professionalism and knowledge, Dave made this project enjoyable. Dave is a leader with excellent communications skills. If you are looking to work with an honest, hard working individual who cares about his clients then choose DJI. The experience will be worth the money spent.

Jim and his team at Independent Remodeling did an amazing job on our first-floor renovation,…read moreexceeding our expectations. From the start, Jim was responsive and easy to work with. He has great ideas and isn't afraid to tell you if something you want to do isn't necessarily worth the expense (which we very much appreciated). They delivered high-quality work that leveraged their knowledge and expertise to ensure our new space was functional and beautiful. Some things you look for in a general contractor and rarely find are the ability to stay close to budget and timelines, and Jim and his team did both of these! Jim does a thorough of a job putting designs/estimates together, and the only change order we had (that wasn't scope creep on our part) was for some poor electrical a previous owner did that Jim couldn't have anticipated. In addition, Jim keeps your project moving. We rarely went two days without someone at the house making progress on our project; there were no extended delays due to materials or labor issues. Jim and his team also excel at problem solving. Every project has hiccups along the way, but every issue is tackled and Jim won't stop until the solution works for you. As an example, we were having trouble matching the color of some new hardwood floors to older, existing floors in the house. He helped us put down 16 stain samples and promised we would keep trying until we got it right (and we finally did!). It was very clear our happiness was extremely important to him. If you are looking for a contractor who is honest, knowledgeable, responsive, efficient, affordable, and fun to work with, Independent Remodeling is who you should work with. It's hard to find a company you would want to use a second time, but Jim will be the first person we call for future projects in our house, and who we will recommend to friends and family if they are looking to complete a project in their home.

When I turned on water when remodeling was done, they actually told me the brown water that initially comes out is from the copper pipes, and I believed them! Well, years later looking at brown water, the whole faucet came off the wall. Added picture. I had to get a plumber to come in, open the wall, put an actual tub pipe in, and have someone fix the wall, plumber come back to attach faucet. He couldn't believe that Independent Remodeling didn't drive 2 min to a store to get the right pipe. They were probably behind schedule and used whatever was in the truck. The amount of things wrong with this bathroom is insane. It's great when you're done and easy to be happy because you have your house back, but if you want long term quality, do not go with this company. When doing the initial walk-through explaining what I wanted, there were no notes taken. I thought that was weird but they are professionals and I figured it's what they do. That was, until plugs ended up in the wrong spot, etc. they did something wrong while installing a very expensive showerhead and fixture, and the solution was to put gum in it which took no time to get brown with mildew. The tiles were not laid properly and are cracking. They did come back a year later to redo it, but they are the same quick job. There's something behind the tile that is not letting water flow to the showerhead, we had all new piping done with them. They also hung a giant mirror with a thin wire. They had to come back after year because it was starting to pull off the frame. They just glued it to the wall. It is now peeling from the wall and is about to fall on someone. So after just a few years I am looking for a handyman to fix all these problems which may include taking down the new tile, so I thought I would share that this probably isn't a good solution if you're looking for a long-term bathroom redo.
