I highly recommend Bath and Kitchen Experts. I chose them for a major bathroom remodel project, a total rebuild of the master bathroom and powder room. The work that Paul (owner) and his team did was impeccable. They truly are the experts they claim to be. I interviewed four firms for this project. Paul was the first. What impressed me most was how quickly he saw possibilities for expanding the bathroom to include a shower stall as well as a tub. It never occurred to me this was a possibility. The other contractors were quick to point out potential problems, but Paul was even quicker to point out solutions. Paul set the bar for the other contractors quite high. To me hidden reviews say a lot on Yelp. If someone who doesn't regularly write reviews makes the effort to come online they probably have strong feelings about a business one way or another if they went through the trouble of creating a Yelp account just to let their feelings be known. It's telling that Bath and Kitchen experts has 10 hidden reviews and they're all 5 stars. We wanted to replace our shower and reached out to Paul after I had done A LOT of online searching. It's tough to find a truly local, non-corporate business to do little jobs like ours, and I'm not a fan of sales pitch presentations. Paul came out to our house for a quote and was prepared with samples and an iPad to help us visualize what our new shower would look like. He spent as much time as was needed to help use do a mini-bathroom remodel and replace an aging, depressing shower with something we absolutely love. The work was completed in a day and seamlessly integrates into our existing bathroom. We planned our bathroom remodel for almost 2 years and when it came time to entrust our project to others, we took great care in that selection! I'm very particular about how I like things done... and so is my Architect husband -so I was very diligent in my research. We were impressed with Bath & Kitchen Experts from the start! We took notice of their portfolio and previous stellar reviews!! Meeting Paul then sealed the deal! He was very personable, knowledgeable, and willing to go the distance for us in terms of how we envisioned the space. Paul assembled his talented and skilled crew to realize our dreamy spa-like bathroom! You may think with all of the various disciplines needed to do the job there would be 10 people coming to our home everyday, but because Paul and his team of professionals are so skilled, with expertise in absolutely all of the various trades required for a complete bathroom gut-remodel from scratch.....that was not the case! We had ONE main craftsman and Jack of All Trades....Jerry, and 2 more talented Bath & Kitchen Experts pro's joined us a bit later! Jerry was AWESOME!!!! He knew everything about everything! His attention to detail was 2nd to none!!! To begin with...he was so organized and careful with the surroundings -were you not in the actual bathroom you would almost not even know there was such a big project taking place...because everything was covered and protected everyday ....and at the end of the day....cleaned up nicely. The prefab shower-tub was removed and Jerry of Bath & Kitchen Experts completely redesigned that entire area expanding it to have a much larger footprint as a stand alone shower. Then he installed every individual subway glass tile....one at a time-piece by intricate piece, including building out a niche in the shower wall. Then glass pro -Radek- installed beautiful 3/4 inch glass -7 ft shower doors (with hardware) the likes of which I've not seen anywhere other than in very high end spaces-spas-and resorts! Jerry installed ledger stone tile ---floor to ceiling-- to create a stunning accent vanity wall with inset mirrors and lighting perfectly set- ....not at all easy to do on stone, not to mention meticulously cutting glass and stone so that everything lines up correctly!! Greg also worked on the ledger tile and did an excellent job!! Jerry installed porcelain floor tile that ran throughout the bathroom floor and into the shower floor where he skillfully custom designed the shower base and threshold so that all of the bathroom flooring was uniform! Jerry was always 10 steps ahead, for-seeing what we would need to decide on, and asking our preferences at each and every interval. Painting, lighting, installation of all new shower-vanity-bathroom fixtures, electrical work-reconfiguring plumbing...you name it -they did it! It's clear Paul and his awesome crew at Bath & Kitchen Experts take pride in their work & hold themselves to delivering on the high standards they have set for themselves so that their clients are beyond 100% satisfied with their work. We just finished our second bathroom remodel with Paul within two years. His prices are fair, and you can price out your own materials or have Paul do it for you. His crews can demo and re-do walls, cover everything from electrical to plumbing, and can also install acrylic or tile. Basically, if you need something done in your bathroom, Paul can handle it. Prices are fair, and quality is good. Unlike a lot of contractors, Paul is a local guy who puts his money where his mouth is with a storefront near O'Hare. Paul's not going anywhere til the job's done; believe us, Paul will not leave your place until the finished product is exactly how you want it.
