For the past couple of years, I had been wanting to make updates to our home but couldn't find anyone I could trust, and I honestly thought it was a lost cause until I found Ibro. We also wanted to stay within a budget, and I really appreciated how transparent and thoughtful he was in helping us manage expectations and make decisions that kept the project on track financially without sacrificing quality. From the quality of work, to the prices, to the reliability and timeliness of each interaction, Anla was top notch. We also trusted Andrew and team completely and frequently left them alone in our house while they worked on updating both of our upstairs bathrooms. When we had a miscommunication on paint colors, Andrew and team never questioned the outcome, they immediately came back over and repainted the bathroom. To top it off, I also asked Andrew if he could help me to notch out a portion of my basement ceiling to so I could fit something downstairs. This had nothing to do with my bathroom remodel, however Andrew immediately came over with his crew and helped do it at no cost. If you're looking for a remodel, I highly recommend Anla.

BMF remodeled our entire home in 4 separate projects over 3 years. Bought the house new and while…read moreit was in great shape everything was dated and bathroom layouts weren't optimal. Got quotes from 4 contractors initially, with the intent to update the house over time without borrowing from the mortgage. Only 2 contractors actually quoted the projects as requested and we selected BMF because Matt understood what our goal was and offered great ways to make big improvements within budget. BMF always delivered on time and exceeded expectations. If you are looking to make updates, here are a few improvements BMF made to our home: Gutted all bathrooms and rebuilt to utilize the space more efficiently but also look amazing: walk-in curbless shower, porcelain tile floors, Pinterest-worthy wall tile layouts Refinished outdated honey oak flooring Replaced carpet with new oak flooring stained to match newly refinished oak downstairs; LVP oak floors upstairs Updated builder grade fireplace with floor to ceiling stacked stone and expanded hearth Replaced and upgraded all wood trim, casings and stairway balusters I've heard so many horror stories about contractors, especially while everyone is working from home and making improvements. BMF is the exception - there was always at least one, sometimes 4, crews working from start to finish and the owner was accessible at all times.

Do NOT pay until every last thing is finished. I was sent my final invoice before the job was done…read moreand trusted they would still finish and payed. Do not trust their word that they will make it back out. I reached out multiple times, was told "I'll have a guy come out Friday" on 3 separate occasions, and it now I'm a zero responses from them. I have been left with a half painted window and unclean job site. I will call that my mistake but it does show the integrity of this company. I wrongfully assumed that spending the amount of money we did came with integrity and customer appreciation. Maybe that's extra. ($70k+) We hired them to put a moderate sized addition off the back of our master bedroom on a ranch house. As soon as I made the final payment I was not able to get anyone out. -we were suppose to get black windows but they installed white. When it was brought up they told me they would paint them and have yet to complete that task. - they never returned to finish cleaning up the job site and fix all the dirt the moved away for the foundation.

Back in May/June 2025, I hired Handy Gentlemen for interior work on my house. It is now…read moremid-September. David, the owner, seems like a nice guy, and he did a good job replacing the tiles on my bathroom floor, and he (mostly his assistant) did a lot of painting, which on the whole looks good. But see below... The big issues were what I discovered after he was finished and had left: fresh paint stains in multiple areas, including the wood floor of my 19th century house and even furniture - which I cleaned up. Splattered paint near the ceiling of my kitchen which still, three months later, has not been patched, paint stains on my oriental rug, a major purchase 40 years ago, etc. David said he would pay for the rug damage, and I only asked for 50% of the very reasonable $175 cleaning cost. David told me to bill him via Zelle, something I said I'm not sure how to do. He already has my Zelle information, since that's how I paid him for the work. But after messaging him and emailing several times, he has not responded. And I still have paint streaks on the wall and an unpaid bill. So I can't recommend Handy Gentlemen.
