Once he started, he realized the screws needed for the handles were missing. He ended up making two trips to the store. After the second trip, he suddenly told me I owed him an additional $100. I felt pressure to accept before he left the work incomplete. What bothered me most was how he handled the disagreement. Instead of dealing with me directly, he texted my tenant and told him I had until the end of the day to pay him; otherwise I would "pay much more than $100." My tenant had nothing to do with our agreement and should never have been placed in the middle of a payment dispute. I paid the originally agreed price of $350 plus the $100 he later demanded. Because of the unexpected additional charge and the way he communicated afterward, I would not hire Mako Renovation again.
