They recently opened a Chase Sapphire, lounge at the Phoenix sky Harbor airport earlier this year. I've had the chance to stop by there several times in my busy travel schedule for work..
I wanted to share some of my impressions and maybe some information you might need to know if you want to be able to take advantage of this airport lounge
Here are my impressions of the staff and lounge... because it is new. It is very nice. Interestingly enough it is relatively small compared to some other lounges that I have seen before. However, there are a variety of seating options on both sides of the lounge where you can find a place to rest and enjoy some of their complementary offerings. They have individual seats. They have larger tables that could fit a small family that's traveling together. They also have some barstools where you can connect your devices and recharge your things and they have some more intimate spaces that might be good for a quick zoom meeting or if you were lucky you can find a private nook on the less busy side of the lounge where you can complete some work assignments while you're waiting for your Plane.
The service staff have been very attentive and every time that I show up, they remember me and they greet me. It is a very warm and inviting atmosphere.
They keep the place very clean, and there are two private restrooms in the lounge that you can go to instead of going to the overcrowded restrooms near the gate.
This lounge offers several great benefits for travelers in addition to having a unencumbered space to relax while you're waiting for your flight. You can also help yourself to a small variety of fresh food and snack items and beverages.
There is a hot breakfast bar where you can find things like freshly made sweet potato, hash, or breakfast Bao buns that have bacon and egg and cheese. They also have a small assortment of freshly made pastries, such as muffins, croissants, and other sweet rolls. They have fresh yogurt and fresh fruit as well..
On the other side of the lounge, you can find a small counter where they often provide you with freshly made sausage, egg, and cheese or potato, egg, and cheese, breakfast tacos, served with salsa.
I have found the food quality to be fairly consistent. It is not anything that I would go out to eat and pay for however, for a free breakfast bar that I can visit as often as I like in the airport, this is pretty good. The menu is a prefix menu meaning you cannot order whatever you like at any point but of the items that I've mentioned those are pretty much always available once you gain access to the lounge.
All of the food is complimented with free fresh coffee, or juice and yes, they even have a cappuccino machine that you can access at no charge.
Here a few things to keep in mind if you want to access this lounge that is located in the middle of terminal D at PHX.
First of all, if you have a Chase Sapphire card, you are automatically eligible to use the lounge free of charge. Technically it's not free of charge because you do pay an annual fee for your card, but it is one of the added benefits that you are paying for when you choose to use a Chase preferred sapphire card. I also found re not a card member with one of the previously stated cards I believe you can buy access into the lounge but it's pretty expensive at $100 or more per person per day visit.
The other thing to keep in mind would be that this place does get a little busy and they will only allow so many passengers in before they close the doors and wait for tables to become available before letting more people in.
In summary this lounge is a cool place to stop if you already have a card that gives you free access to airport lounges or if you have the money to pay to gain insurance for the day on the day pass. The food is pretty good. Although t's best quality is that is that it's free! they have several cool areas to sit, but it gets filled up quickly. Interestingly enough, I travel in a wheelchair and this place is fairly wheelchair friendly. The greatest part of the experience in my opinion is the staff that are always willing to help a hand.
Things I would change I wish it were bigger and I wish I could get some different types of foods at different visit times. Up to this point I've been there several times but they always pretty much have the same thing at the end of the day it's better nicer cleaner than hanging out by the jet bridge waiting for your plane to show up read more
