Driving home from yet another art fest, we stopped to shop for what will be a substantial dinner, but noticed we were both a little hungry, and still did not want to overeat. We were in an Albertsons center and spied this delightful, small Greek restaurant, so we went for some avgolemono soup and a Greek salad. I have had many such soups, have made my own too, but this one was different, less broths and eggy, more chickeny. A large bowl at a reasonable price, packed with diced chicken. Very satisfying. The salad was perfect, substantial and not overdressed with oil and vinegar. Just the right amount. Neither selection came with pita bread slices, and we did not necessarily miss them, but adding a couple pieces might be a good idea. Compared to some of the other Greek and Mediterranean restaurants in the area, this 24-seat charmer is lower priced without being lower quality. We will be back for sure, and if they are filled up, we will do takeout. read more

Ultimately the food was not ready until 20 minutes past the scheduled time. Called over an hour ahead to place an order for pickup at a specific time due to being a working professional on business schedule constraints. When I arrived was told it would be another ten minutes and the cashier proceeded to try to explain to me that the cooking process takes time. Funny because what was ordered was all cold, salad, and vegetarian. Nothing worse than an establishment that refuses to take accountability for an error. I don't recommend this restaurant if you are on time constraints or at all a planner. I will not return on the principle of being spoken to as if I had no idea the concept of restaurant practices. Nice clean place in Rancho Mirage. The chicken kabob was well seasoned and delicious. The side salad was very fresh. I was disappointed with the keftka as it tasted a lot like frozen meatballs that I have had. It was the beginning of the diner shift when we went so it was not busy and the service was good. I was traveling for work and wanted Mediterranean food found this place ordered a gyro and salad to go and cheese cake baklava. The food was average. However, the experience was ruined by the cheesecake baklava dessert. About halfway through, I flipped the piece over and saw green dots--it was clearly mold! I was immediately disgusted. Finding mold is a severe health and hygiene issue that completely negates any positives. I will not be visiting this restaurant again, and I urge others to check their food carefully. read more

Well... having decided upon a mediterranean meal, we picked this one as it was close and offered such. Had some issues with the waiter, not explaining one of the entrées or appetizers correctly and the busser or the food server that brought it to us didn't know what it was.?? Just left the RM location. The food doesn't match the high price. My husband ordered chicken & beef kabobs that was on the menu, but the hostess said they didn't have the beef, they only had the Filet Mignon kabob. The Filet kabob was priced at $29.00+ but wasn't tasty at all. We were given water & a refill of water. Never asked if we wanted a drink. We ordered baklava to go and it looked like it wasn't fresh. Runny even. Big suggestion - for good Mediterranean & Greek food, personal service and fast service, go to Luna Grill in Palm Desert. These are the only two Greek restaurants we've gone to so far, so Luna Grill wins out for now. Will be visiting others soon. As for the ambiance, the space needs a facelift. read more

Luke warm Gyros, dried out, probably cooked an hour ago for the sake of convenience. Pita was also dry and the Taziki sauce tasted like plain Greek yoghurt. Oh, and the meat was garnished with 3 cold, dry French fries. The salad was ok as was the hummus. The server never came around to ask how everything was until we finished. When we told him we were disappointed he said just a minute. Must have gone back to discuss it with the manager. The remedy was, here's the check, the food usually comes out better and off he went. The server never came back to see if we needed anything. We needed refills on our drinks. I had to get up to ask for a refill.
