I've been waiting five years to visit this place. Once I stepped into the winery, it reminded me of Spain. It was very beautiful inside. My fiancée bought me one of their 17% alc, and I have not been able to stop thinking about it ever since. Sadly, they stopped selling it, but the wonderful Seniora at the front gave us options. We ended up buying three bottles and doing lots of taste testing. She made the first time experience unforgettable! I will come and visit again when on my next cruise.

Stopped by on a cruise port day. The courtyard out front is very cute and welcoming. We decided to do a wine tasting which included a white, rose, and Cabernet. We really enjoyed them all. The wine tasting room is an open space that is charming and authentic. The atmosphere is genuine with its space having a long running history.

While visiting Ensenada on a cruise, my husband and I visited Santo Tomas winery. We had seen videos on YouTube and wanted to check it out. It was about a 30-minute walk from the cruise port, and the plaza where it is located is very nice. There are several restaurants and shops. We decided to get two glasses of wine rather than do a wine tasting, as there was only one red wine in the tasting. The wine was just okay but the atmosphere was wonderful. We sat and sipped our wine as we people watched. There were several tour groups that visited the winery while we were there. I'm glad we visited and we will probably stop in again!

Looking to check out a winey a little more closer to Ensenada, we decided to check out Santo Tomas. We've had their wines numerous times before; even being the preferred drink at my sister's wedding. Upon arrival, the staff was very friendly and attentive to making sure we had a great experience our first time there. We opted for the wine tasting experience and we were greeted with the history of the winery, it's locations and the history behind wine thriving in Mexico. While there we even did some avocado oil tasting with some sourdough bread. Never thought I would enjoy avocado oil that much until I had some pure, in modified oils. Definitely will go back next time we are in town. Great prices, several local spots to grab some food.

Great service. We did a wine tasting here as a stop of the Best of Encenada tour - cool old winery store

We stopped by here while on a city tour cruise excursion. The servers were very friendly and knowledgeable. We gave a tip and they were extra friendly. They offered wine tastings for the adults and chocolate for the kiddos. In addition, they also offered pan (bread), cheese, and olive oil tasting. It's a small winery, but it wasn't too crowded inside for a tour bus group.

Such a fun experience! Everyone was so friendly and informative on the history of the location, and the quality of the wine and olive oil was exceptional. Great little spot to visit and enjoy.

The chardonnay was my favorite. And I'm not normally a white wine person.

The service was a very nice with a polite and well informed server. The wines had many different flavors. Each one, in the tasting, has their own style.

CITY TOUR STOP #2. I would have never had even the tiniest thought of associating wine with Ensenada. Yet here we are. I'm not a wine fiend, or anything, but Mom and Hubbers are, so they paid more attention to the demo than I did. They were also generous enough to give samples of their wine. What I found more interesting, however, are the several types of olive oil they market. We were all given the opportunity to try 5 of them. If your palate is up to par, you would be able to taste the difference between the five. And yes, they were all very good. It's a pretty popular brand. Tons of customers coming in and out for purchase. My family ended up taking 6 bottles of wine and 2 bottles of olive oil. It was educational and prices on their products are reasonable. Recommending.

The entrance of this establishment is beautifully designed.

This is the first time we get to experience Santo Tomas. Had a beautiful experience. Friendly and knowledgeable about their wines. The wine wall was amazing.

A great stop on a walk from the cruise ship. It is beyond the tourist shopping area, located in a restored historic building with outdoor tables and a few tables inside. The wine presenter was very knowledgeable about the wines and their history. Who knew they had been a commercial producer since 1888? The wines are excellent, and reasonably priced compared to California wineries. We bought a bottle of their tasty dessert wine, their rose' and a nice heritage of barbera, Merlot and syrah. They are in the process of setting up their old basement area to display old bottles discovered during recent renovations.

Outside pathway leading to the tasting room!

Tasting some of the country's best wines at the second oldest winery inside a historic building. Very informative part of history shared! Definitely one of Ensenada's top 10 places to see and do!

Wine Tasting was part of today's cruise excursion itinerary. It was here at Santo Tomas. We spent time in the tasting/sales room, then our tasting for 46 people began. We tasted 2 white wines, 1 red wine and a sweet brandy-like dessert wine. We enjoyed the first 3 but that last one was a bit too syrupy sweet for our taste. We also sampled olive oils on bread with cheese cubes as a palette cleanser. The wine guide-speaker did I a great job explaining about the vineyard, its history and plans as well as each wine and oil.

The service was extremely terrible and the wine offered during my wine tasting experience was a joke (not good at all). GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

From the few minutes that we interacted with Emilio, he seemed to be a really cool dude. He got all the boring paperwork, rules and regulations out of the way so that we can start having fun. His crew that was there that day was great, but, Carlos our guide was the man. We booked the ATV and Zip Line combo, at first it would have been perfect timing, but, our cruise ship decided to leave 2 hours earlier than what it was when we booked the tour. Carlos, on the fly, improvised the itinerary to accommodate our time constraint. The routes that he took us on was great, we felt safe, but, at the same time gave us an adrenaline rush, first the city streets, then the mountains, then a little free style riding in the mountain. Once we were done with the ATV, he drove us to the Zip Lining spot Las Canadas, the drive was about 45mins to an hour, but, even that was not so bad, we chopped it up like we were all friends just hanging out. Zip Lining was awesome as well, the place had their own crew that guided us on the zip lines and bridges, they were cool too. On the way back, we had just enough time to hit one taqueria spot, great food, fresh hand made tortillas. Over all, my friends and I had a wonderful time in the little part of Ensenada that we explored. I would definitely come back just to experience the other tours that ATV Ensenada have to offer, or even just to hang with some pretty cool people of ATV Ensenada.

She offers to plan the day/trip for you but I am type A and like to research on my own. I came up with a list of places we were interested in and she shared her expertise but never seemed pushy. From start to finish, she made us feel completely at ease and ensured we had the best time possible. There were six of us in our group celebrating our friends birthday and Andrea went above and beyond to make sure every single one of us had a memorable day. We visited Decantos, Vinos Paoloni, Bloodlust, Frida and Mr. Tempo and not only was the wine absolutely fantastic, but the drinks and food at each stop were all just as impressive! What really stood out, though, was Andrea's ability to read our vibe. She immediately understood the kind of group we are and tailored the experience to suit us perfectly. The locations she chose felt like they were handpicked just for us. Each one had its own unique charm, and every stop felt like it added something special to our day. Beyond her great taste and planning, she made us feel completely safe the entire time, which allowed us to fully relax and enjoy ourselves. Her professionalism, warmth, and expertise truly made this experience unforgettable. I can't recommend this tour enough! Five stars aren't enough--thank you so much for an incredible day Andrea, We can't wait to be back!
