Definitely a great tour experience, from the reservation to the pick up and drop off. It started off a little shaky, we were supposed to meet a 930am, but, when 10am came we got a bit worried, luckily I was able to contact Emilio and it all got straightened out. From the few minutes that we interacted with Emilio, he seemed to be a really cool dude. He got all the boring paperwork, rules and regulations out of the way so that we can start having fun. His crew that was there that day was great, but, Carlos our guide was the man. We booked the ATV and Zip Line combo, at first it would have been perfect timing, but, our cruise ship decided to leave 2 hours earlier than what it was when we booked the tour. Carlos, on the fly, improvised the itinerary to accommodate our time constraint. The routes that he took us on was great, we felt safe, but, at the same time gave us an adrenaline rush, first the city streets, then the mountains, then a little free style riding in the mountain. Once we were done with the ATV, he drove us to the Zip Lining spot Las Canadas, the drive was about 45mins to an hour, but, even that was not so bad, we chopped it up like we were all friends just hanging out. Zip Lining was awesome as well, the place had their own crew that guided us on the zip lines and bridges, they were cool too. On the way back, we had just enough time to hit one taqueria spot, great food, fresh hand made tortillas. Over all, my friends and I had a wonderful time in the little part of Ensenada that we explored. I would definitely come back just to experience the other tours that ATV Ensenada have to offer, or even just to hang with some pretty cool people of ATV Ensenada. read more

He knew not to take us on a too challenging route, staying simple and had so much fun. He took great pictures and videos he sent to us. My wife and I booked a last minute Atv and wine tour. The suggested place was sold out so we went with ATV Ensenada. We are glad we did because not only was it less expensive, it was also a great experience. We were within the 5 mile radius so Emilio offered to pick us up and drop us from our AirBnB. Once we arrive at the shop our tour guide Carlos made sure we had the proper information and after he provided the protective gear (helmet and goggles) he went through the ATV controls and made sure we understood everything before taking off. The Offroad ATV was fun and it was maybe a full 10-15 minutes of trails before we arrived at the ranch for Wine and cheese(not included.) the price was reasonable and after some time we rode back into town for the wine museum tour. We opted for the tequila and margarita tasting( not included) and we had a great time learning about the process and regulations of tequila. After the museum my wife and I were hungry so Carlos agreed to stop by a local spot for fish and shrimp tacos. We have done other ATV experiences and they have always felt rushed. The tour guides wanted to run through and get to the next location without letting us soak it all in. Carlos and ATV Ensenada were the complete opposite of that. They allowed plenty of time and even allowed us to stay a bit longer and head out when we were ready. Booked a cruise to Ensenada and lucky for us the ATV excursion thru the cruise line was booked. Otherwise we would never have found ATV Ensenada. THEY ARE SERIOUSLY THE BEST! They don't book more than one tour a day. You're able to customize your tour with them. For our tour, we did some riding on the street then headed to the mountains. Enjoyed some cervezas while we chilled up on the mountain. Afterwards, we rode the ATVs down for some tequila tasting, ate fresh seafood and tacos. We were craving some churros and Homer was so nice, he got our group some freshly made churros. So delicious. Afterwards, they were nice enough to drop us off at Papas and Beer where we continued our day in Ensenada. In addition, Homer was also kind enough to pick us up from P&B and drop us off to our ship. We booked a tour through WhatsApp and the team was exceptional!! Emilio, who I believe owns the establishment, was prompt and professional in his correspondence. He told us where to meet the driver for pickup and was understanding and helpful when our cruise dates changed and we needed to reschedule (he helped us out immediately for no extra charge). Recently went to Ensenada and wanted to do an ATV tour. The cruise line we were on had one with less-than-great reviews so we took a chance and went with ATV Ensenada and I'm so happy we did. A Venmo deposit upon booking is required so I messaged the company via WhatsApp and got an immediate response. We and another family of friends decided to book this excursion separate from our cruise line and were so happy. We did the UTV tour which is a closed 4 seater buggy that rides like an ATV but is enclosed as we had young children with us. We appreciated that they had seatbelts and unlike other ATV tour companies, this place actually was on time, with our name on a sign at the end of a walking bridge as promised in their email. We are always a bit nervous when booking a tour off the internet especially since it was our first time with this company and had to Venmo a deposit and could only communicate with Whatsapp but as soon as we met Emilio our fears were squashed. Also, when we got to the shop, we were provided with bandanas and goggles. I have been on an ATV before in Cozumel (different company) and was not offered either and came back LOOKING ROUGH! This was a sign that they were a good place to start. Emilio was the tour guide and his wife Esmeralda came with us. We were the only three UTVs out there so it felt super personal and private. Both were super accommodating, super friendly and got some amazing videos and photos that they DID NOT upcharge us for. We came prepared with cash to pay the balance which we did have an option to pay with a card but did not want the 5% fee. Emilio counted the money right in front of us which was another good sign of honesty. We did a mountain tour and it took us about an hour with maybe 20-25 minutes going through the city streets before we headed up the mountain. The mountain scenery was beautiful and we could really appreciate the trail, sorta bumpy and hilly to make for an exciting journey. Emilio would check on us from time to time on the tour and slow down when we were not right behind him. He would signal if he needed us to do something and even stopped at a store before we headed up the hill to see if we wanted to buy snacks or water! What a plus seeing as how we had little ones with us. It took us maybe 45 minutes to get back down and Emilio was kind enough to shuttle us to the downtown area instead of insisting we go back to the pier. We had plenty of time afterwards to find some souvenirs and have lunch so the timing was perfect. I say, if you are looking for something to do in Ensenada especially if you are on a cruise, check with this place. If you have young children this is an awesome way to spend your day. read more

This past weekend we had the pleasure to rent a razor for my family of four. Emilio did the booking for us over the phone the week before. Great customer service. He personally picked us up from the Ensenada port and drove us to the shop to get the razor. My two little ones, 4 & 6 year olds, had a fun time on the razor. Once at the shop Enrique was our tour guide. He guided us to the mountain tour with another couple. Enrique made some stops to make sure we were ok and took some pictures. Great guy! My latest adventure with ATV Ensenada was really enjoyable.I don't take travel planning lightly and always do a ton of research ahead. I was impressed by all the positive reviews for ATV Ensenada so I reached out to the company's owner Emilio. Within minutes, he wrote back and confirmed the trip. Talk about great service! ATV Ensenada offers a variety of tour options including ATV rides to La Bufadora (a very cool blow hole worth checking out), hot springs, wine country as well as an ATV and ziplining combo tour. But the one tour that stood out most to us was the ATV and horseback riding tour, which also included a stop at a Tequila tasting room. Tequila, ATV's and horseback riding might not sound like a natural combination, but it really all seemed to fit -- especially after a sixth shot of Tequila. Just saying! Emilio grew up in Oregon, and spoke perfect English. And for the past 20 years, he has lived in Ensenada. We found it fascinating to hear his perspective -- especially after living in both the United States and Mexico. There has been so much change in Ensenada, and tourism hasn't been affected as much as in some of the other towns since many of Ensenada's tourists arrive by cruise ships. Emilio has been riding ATVs since he was a kid, and decided to break out with a company of his own about 2 years ago. While there are several tour operators to choose from in Ensenada, I booked with Emilio given his experience and just the sheer variety of tours I could pick from. Plus, a tour is really only as good as it's guide. The shop is located in the middle of town and there is plenty of easy street parking. Wow! Such a fun trip. We were nervous booking online and sending Venmo deposit. But, this company is so honest. I ended up overpaying without realizing it. They sent me a Venmo refund while we were still on our excursion. They did have to change things when we got there. We booked the atv/zip-line adventure. We did not realize we'd be driving atvs for an hour on city roads and highways. Not sure we'd do that again, but it was a great way to experience the real, local Ensenada. We were expecting our kids ages 14 & 12 to drive, but because we were driving city roads and highways and so far, they didn't feel it was safe for them. They were right. We were glad. Also, payment there is either cash or credit card and I believe they charged 8% fees. The zip-line park was absolutely incredible. We loved that adventure! Our guides were incredible. Easy to follow. Very accommodating and friendly. They brought us by a taco place after. And dropped us at the shopping street right in front of a store they recommended. I would definitely book an excursion with them again! We were in good hands. I don't know we'd want to drive that far again to go zip-lining. Emilio and Enrique are amazing! While searching on the web for the best Ensenada ATV tour, we came across Emilio's tour. We wanted to ATV in the mountains, the beach, and get tacos as well. Emilio gave us a customized tour with a fantastic rate. He met us at the black bridge when we got off our cruise and shuttled us to his shop. There, we met Enrique who was a fantastic tour guide and took us through the city and hills of Ensenada then down to the playa and ended the tour with tacos before taking us back to their shop. Enrique is very professional and really knows what he is doing. If any of us got stuck he knew how to get us unstuck quickly and efficiently. Emilio showed us how to use the ATVs before riding. Instruction was very simple and if you don't know how to ride, you will learn very quickly. It is not difficult. The ATVs Emilio has to offer are very nice as well. They were nicer than some ATVs I rode in Pismo Beach. Emilio and Enrique put my ATV in automatic so I didn't even have to shift gears. He also has full face helmets and goggles. Enrique and Emilio also took many photos of us whenever we wanted. They were extremely accommodating and the service was 100% After our tour, they even dropped us off to wherever we wanted to go (for example they would take you back to the ship) but we chose to go to papas and beers after! What an awesome experience! I am so glad we decided to go with ATV Ensenada; we had such a great time! Emilio was such a pleasure and very helpful throughout our entire experience. I called him to book my party of 3 and he returned my call almost immediately. We communicated via text and email. I had a few questions come up and he was quick to respond. We decide to do the Hot Springs Tour and arrived at the shop at 9:30 a.m. and checked in. We left the shop at about 10 a.m. and returned around 3:00 p.m. since we stopped at a Taco stand. Our tour guides were friendly and made sure we were safe and comfortable. They even took a few photos of us. I can't remember exactly how many miles we rode, but I want to say it was a little over 20 miles. I didn't want to stop riding!! We went through the city and out through the mountains. The mountain trail was safe and long; however, it's probably the best part! At one point we even went through water. Super fun! A few tips: I would recommend that you bring a small backpack with water and snacks if you plan to ride up there. We stayed at the Hot Springs for about an hour and hung out. Don't forget to bring a bandana as it can get dusty from all the dirt and your bathing suit if you decide to cool off in the springs and pool. Also, they do charge $8 (US) per person to enter the Hot Springs. We will definitely be back to do another ATV tour with ATV Ensenada soon! read more

I was skeptical at first with doing my adventure in Ensenada Mexico through here, but honestly it turned out to be a memorial and fun experience. This was my second time out to Mexico but first time booking with Emilio and ATV Ensenada. Emilio was very professional, respectful and easy to communicate with. I would definitely book with them again if I come back to Ensenada, and recommend this adventure to new or old travelers of Ensenada. Just to share a little hiccup in our trip. There was a change made by carnival cruise which changed our date for landing in Ensenada to a day earlier. Before I could even contact Emilio, he was all over it and informed me he was aware of the change and would meet me and my group the day we land with no change or additional deposit. Our guide, Enrique, that took us to the blowhole after the ATV ride was awesome. Catered to anything we asked of him. Knew the spots for new and wild adventures and good food. Even went out of his way to secure us a place to sit and eat. Hard to do in a group of ten but he was on it! Hope this helps you in exploring something exciting to do. 4/9/2019 I booked this tour purely on the great reviews. It was totally worth it. My daughter and I wanted something fun and all the cruise ship excursions were sold out, I'm so happy I found Emilio's company. I sent an email and booked easily. We met at the black bridge, it was easy to spot when you leave the ship. We walked a couple blocks to the store and were fitted with helmets and goggles. We traveled surface streets and dirt roads for an hour ride to the Hot Springs. Enrique was our guide. He was great at signaling where to stop at (Alto) stop signs. The same road rules apply, but I did notice the locals were very patient with the Atv's. We had an hour at the hot springs and it was so nice to wash the dust off and relax in the hot water, there is a creek next to it and families camping near by. I could have stayed there all day. I was almost to relaxed to Atv back, but we were starving so Enrique took us to a great taco shop for tacos. For your comfort dress in long pants/jeans it gets a little cold on the way back. Close toe shoes and long sleeve shirt. We also brought bandanna or tube dust mask that help from eating dust when riding. We also brought water and soda in our backpack. The one thing I forgot was toilet paper. There was no toilet paper at the hot springs public bathroom. We were a little sore the next day, well a lot sore for me. I'm out of shape, but a massage on the ship helped. I want to go back, minus the cruise so I can spend more time out there.i read more

We had the best time on our ATV adventure. My family (me, wife, two kids ages 11 and 8) booked this tour to the hot springs a few weeks prior to our carnival cruise. This tour was the most fun day of our vacation. I wasn't sure how my kids would do on an ATV but they had the time of their life and each of them were able to drive the ATV once we got off the city roads. Homer was our guide and he was great. I originally found ATV Ensenada on trip advisor and decided to go with them based on the reviews. Emilio texted me early in the morning with the address, but unfortunately we got lost! No ones fault but Siri's! He was so kind and guided us through the found to his shop and patiently waited for us. We booked the ATV/horse back riding tour. As soon as we arrived they geared us up with helmets and gloves. Our bikes were outside ready for us! Emilio introduced us to our AMAZING guide Israel and they explained how to work the bike. We the. Headed off to the back of the shop so we could familiarize ourselves with the bike. After we were comfortable with it we headed off into town and Israel guided us the whole way. He was super cautious and ensured we were close to him at all times. We ended up riding up a few hills/mountains and ended up on top to the most beautiful view! You could tell Israel was really comfortable with the roads and seemed very knowledgeable. After doing that for about an hour we headed down towards the beach where we would ride our horses. The horse ride was short lived- but sweet. I was already super tired that having a long horse ride would of totally worn me out. When we were finished with that we headed over to a taco place all together. This taco places was BOMB. We had some good food and talks. The your also included an optional tequila tour but we opted out as I am not a big drinker- and that was the end of our tour. Seriously the BEST in Ensenada. We drove by a few guys standing on the side of the road with ATVS and although they were cheaper, they did not offer the sense of knowledge and safety that Emilio, Israel and their team showed. This was my first ATV experience and it was amazing! I was on a Carnival Cruise with my friends and we opted to go with a local ATV Wine tour when the cruise option sold out - this was definitely the better option! Emilio reached out right away to give me all the details and he met us just outside of the Port Area so we wouldn't get lost at all. A deposit is required (1 rider fee) via Venmo and the rest is due upon arrival via Cash or Venmo only. Very reasonable. I like that they had cool helmet options and they even asked us if we wanted to switch out one of the wine stops for a tequila stop instead (which we did!). Our guide kept us together and safe, considering we were riding through the Ensenada Highways! After researching online, we found that ATV Ensenada had the best reviews. Similar to what others shared, Emilio was very quick to respond and the booking was super easy. We contacted him through the website and he immediately responded via email with further info & instructions. We paid the deposit via Venmo (and the balance via cash the day-of after our excursion). We decided on the mountain tour so we could ride around and have fun and let loose. We were coming from the Carnival cruise and Emilio provided clear instructions on where he'd meet us, and it was super easy to find him on the pedestrian black bridge. Emilio was super nice and greeted us right away. We walked to his shop, which is about a 5-10 min walk from the port. We got fitted for helmets and goggles, and they went over the basics and overview of what to expect for the day. We lucked out and it ended up just being the two of us on our tour since the other couple ended up canceling last minute. Enrique was our guide and he was awesome! We first rode the ATVs down to the beach to get comfortable with riding, we even stopped to take a quick pic in front of the Ensenada sign. We then continued through the city and then up into the mountains. So glad we chose the mountain tour - the views up above are amazing! While riding up the mountain, we got a spectacular view of the city and the port. As we continued riding up the mountain, Enrique was great about checking in on us to make sure we were doing okay and having fun. I wasn't super confident riding them at first, but as we progressed, I got more comfortable and confident riding. I appreciate Enrique taking the time to make sure we were good along the away. He ended up taking us to multiple lookout spots to take in the views and snap pics of us. We even saw some cattle being herded and some dogs up there, which made me smile cause I love dogs. Note, we brought bandannas with us to keep the dust/dirt out while riding, which I'm glad we did cause it definitely gets dusty as you're riding up the mountain. After 1.5 hrs of riding around in the mountains, we started making our way back to the city. On our way back down, we made one last stop at a lookout spot that we had to walk to that had incredible views of the Ensenada. After taking some pics at our last lookout point, we continued riding back through the city. Enrique took us through the main part of town so we could see where all the shops were. Once we got back to the shop, Emilio was there to greet us and asked us how it was. We could not stop raving about how much fun we had. We then got everything squared away and Emilio walked us back to our cruise ship. Overall we had an amazing time and am so glad that we booked with ATV Ensenada! Highly recommend doing the ATVs and booking directly with Emilio. His team is super professional and friendly. If you're in Ensenada, this should be a must on your list! Great experience. Highly recommend ATV Ensenada. We were on a cruise to Ensenada and instead of going with the cruise sponsored ATV excursion (too expensive), we researched on our own and found this company. Glad we did. Homer was our tour guide, great guy. Rate was $90/pp for a 2.5 hour ride. Only 10 minutes was spent on paperwork and tutorial, the rest was riding. Homer took pix and video on his phone then air dropped them to us at conclusion. Quads are modern and automatic transmission. 10 minute walk from port to this business. Avoid the haggling from the other excursion salespeople along the way. read more

This was definitely one of our highlights on our weekend getaway. Riding the ATVs in the picturesque mountains of ensenada is pretty awesome. You get some amazing views while you are up there. My son is hooked and wants to do it again. For sure we will be back to do the hot springs tour next. The owner Emilio and his wife are very welcoming. Our tour guide Israel was awesome. Very patient and a good instructor. I highly recommend ATV Ensenada to everyone!!! Can't wait to be back. Btw everyone speaks English. So if you aren't bilingual you are good to go. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS NIGHTMARE!!!!!!! I will take the time to explain the horrific experience I had here on my birthday. I had arranged an ATV tequila tour to celebrate my 30th birthday. I had payed a deposit to secure the reservation for my party of about 7 people. Upon pickup, we were running behind so I appreciated their flexibility to wait. Things went sour as soon as we arrived. The woman helping us had a very nasty attitude. Treated us as if we had shit on our face as soon as we walked in the door. I'm not sure if it was because we were black but DEFINITELY felt like racism from the jump. During payment, she was sliding money in her pocket and NOT keeping it in clear sight. It immediately became a circus. All of my guests handed funds to her only for her to say we were still "short" by $170. Some of my guests overpaid to help with difference but SOMETHING WAS OFF!!!! After about 20 minutes standing there almost arguing with them about us overpaying-- a $100 "magically" appears on the table after my guests begin getting frustrated. They stole some of our money and treated us like animals. Then they kicked us out as if WE were wrong and didn't even have the decency to drive us back to our Airbnb. Please beware of this place, especially if you are NOT Latin/Hispanic. They ruined my birthday with their greed and disgusting behavior. BEWARE AND STAY FAR AWAY. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!!!!!! Awesome experience.. Make sure to ask for Emilio to give you the tour.. He works with his wife.. and they make a great duo. This tour will take you to through the city, up to the hills and back down to the beach and sand dunes.. Great for beginners and intermediate.. They will show you how to be comfortable with the ATVs and when you get to the sand dunes you get some good free time if you're more advanced. In all this is well worth it and I recommend this activity when visiting Baja California / Ensenada. read more

Had the best ATV experience in Ensenada with ATV Ensenada! Don't go through the Carnival Excursion Booking(as my wife and I were going to do, but didn't) as: -It's more expensive -Doesn't give you all of the route options that ATV Ensenada does -Doesn't provide the same level of customer service/guidance We ultimately chose to do the Mountain Tour option and booked the a double rider ATV as my wife didn't want to drive, but just wanted to enjoy the ride. Emilio texted me a confirmation of the booking quickly after I booked the tour through their website and asked to put down a $20 deposit through Venmo(which was perfect). I then received another confirmation through my email once I paid the deposit telling me where we should meet once we embarked the cruise ship. Emilio made it easy and told us to meet him by the bridge painted black(which you can't miss if you are going into Ensenada from the cruise ship) and even had a sign with my name on it. Along with several other couples, we loaded into a van and he drove us to their HQ in the city. Once we arrive, we were debriefed on the tour details and fitted with the proper equipment(helmet, gloves, goggles, and for $2 a bandanna). We then got onto our ATV's and were given instructions on how to drive the ATV and the local rules... and then we were off! It was a perfect sunny day in Ensenada and we got to explore more of the city before heading into the mountain area which was awesome(it was our first time exploring the region)! Our team leader was very informative/patient and made the whole experience amazing for both of us. Overall, you will enjoy the experience and have a memorable time with ATV Ensenada! read more

Don't waste your time booking through Carnival Cruise! I yelped them and decided to book directly and not only did we get an amazing deal, but we had an unforgettable time! Emilio and Carlos were awesome! Emilio picked us up by our port and Carlos was the BEST tour guide ever. Since we were the only ones for Wednesday, we had wine, tacos, tequila, and a bunch of other great stops along the way. We even got to drive our ATV super fast back through the canyons :) I will definitely be back! Also- they don't take AMEX! Luckily they take Venmo but be careful! Having traveled internationally, and been entertained/educated by various Tour Guides, none were as attentive and detailed oriented as Misael (Misa) with ATV Ensenada! A former English teacher, he was there to supervise our trip, take care of minor details, and give us various options on our ATV tour, including a delightful healthy low-cost local luncheon. This is a late review as we visited in September 2019. AMAZING! We did the wine tour ATVs and we were all blown away by the experience! Our tour guide was so great. Our tour guide Misa was the best! Very informative and flexible. So hard to describe the experience to its full potential. We plan on doing the tour again every time we visit! Definitely requesting Misa every time. read more
