First, before the tour even started, I had mentioned to her I was having some headaches for lack of caffeine, when she showed up with the fan she had a cooler in the back for Mexico coke! To start the day, we went to La Bufadora, the blow hole. Along the way, she talked about some of the history of Ensenada Mexico in general. Traffic was heavy, and she took some back roads which gave us a glimpse of how hard life can be for many in Ensenada, as well as farming and local life. We got lucky and the blow hole gave us a good show. After the blow hole, we made a quick stop at the beach. We stopped at this little dirt parking lot and there was a little trail going through the field, we felt lost at first, but then we came up over the hill and it was a beautiful beach . Something off the beaten path most people would not typically see on a tour of Ensenada. Also, it was a unique experience and that there were tens of thousands of jellyfish that had washed up on the beach that week. Even the locals were amazing confused at what caused it. Next, we headed to a zip line tour and spent the next couple of hours doing five zip lines and five rope bridges. At the end we stopped at a little shop and got some delicious ice cream bars. Finally, to wrap up our tour, she took us to a tiny little taco shop in the middle of Ensenada that had amazing street tacos. We were on a cruise, and didn't want to pay the prices that cruise excursions cost, so we were happy to find a Lizette and really happy with how the day went. I highly recommend others schedule time with Lizette as as well.

There were many babies jumping with their moms. As many times as I have gone whale watching I still love learning new things. The Naturalist talked about how really young dolphins don't know where their blow holes are located. When the little cute babies jump out of the water they leap very high so they are sure to get their blow holes clear to breathe!

My Husband and I got in line early to check in. We saw the opportunity to upgrade and we took it! He and I had the whole outside of the Captain's deck all to ourselves! My Husband got to fulfill his childhood dream of whale watching and boy did we see some beautiful wildlife! We saw majestic whales, dolphins, birds, sea lions, and while waiting in line to board, fish and stingrays. I got really seasick and the crew there were so kind to me...they kept checking on me, bringing me bags, peppermints and water. Allison, the wildlife narrator, was especially kind. She was also very knowledgeable and her enthusiasm to educate the public about the local wildlife was evident from the beginning! There was also a very attentive young lady crew member that would often see if we needed anything. She also kept bringing me mints, water and bags...she was even kind enough to throw away my full bag. That takes a special kind of humanity to discretely do that. There was a crew member with a beard who also checked on us. I was so seasick by that point that I failed to get their names, but I hope someone lets them know how much I appreciated their hospitality. The star of the show, of course, was Captain Mike! He came out and talked to us and as he was talking to us about his job, we could hear the sincere passion in his voice! He perfectly plotted our trip and made sure that everyone was able to have a great view of the wildlife. We were impressed by how much love and respect the crew members had for the wildlife and the ecosystem. Captain Mike spotted a Mylar balloon, stopped the engine and the team picked it up! I'm sure a beautiful sea creature was saved that day! Thank you again for the wonderful opportunity we had today! This experience is definitely going in the books!!!

We had the most incredible private 6-person sunset whale watching tour with Captain Caitlyn! From…read morestart to finish, she was knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely passionate about marine life. You could tell she truly loves what she does, and it made the entire experience even more special. Our group got to see gray whales (including a mom and calf!) and playful dolphins, and Captain Caitlyn shared so much interesting information along the way. She struck the perfect balance between education and letting us soak in the magic of the moment. What meant the most to me personally was how comfortable she made everyone feel. My mom is usually very nervous on boats, but Captain Caitlyn's calm, confident presence completely put her at ease -- and she ended up loving the trip! It was also so empowering and fun to be on a power boat run by an all-women crew. The whole experience felt safe, exciting, and unforgettable. I would absolutely book with Captain Caitlyn again and recommend this tour to anyone looking for an amazing, up-close ocean adventure.

We saw an uncountable number of 4 different kinds of dolphins, a fin whale and many California sea lions. The small boat was very safe, amazingly nimble, fast and would never want to experience anything on a boat any bigger. I am prone to seasickness but was never even a remote issue. Getting into City Cruises San Diego was really easy the check-in process was smooth, they just took our names, and we were good to go. My boyfriend and I went on the two-hour dinner cruise, and it was such a fun experience. The ticket is around $150, but honestly, it felt worth it. Just being out on the water at night made it special. The service was great, and the staff was super friendly the entire time. The food was actually surprisingly good. They had a wide variety of options--from salads to entrées and appetizers and everything was well done. Plus, there were unlimited desserts, including fruits, cakes, and more. They even greeted us with champagne, which was a nice touch. There was also a DJ onboard, which made the vibe even more fun. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this as an activity if you're in San Diego. It's easy, fun, and something a little different. Also, they often have discounts online, so you can probably get a better deal. Overall, such a great experience, we had an amazing time.

So cool! The guide pointed out how rare that sighting was since Finn Whales are endangered. It made the tour so worthwhile. Not to mention the beautiful sunset we witnessed. Today's weather was absolutely perfect & the water was calm & smooth. We saw tons of dolphins, sea lions, lots of birds and the highlight was a juvenile gray whale. We saw him surface a few times and he brought all of us joy Whale watching is the sort of activity where you could see tons of whales or nothing, and I certainly felt lucky to see the young male on his journey north. There are bathrooms & a snack bar on the boat and plenty of places to sit both inside and outside. Super Roomy and comfort. They have rods and prepare it depending on the type of fish season. We got together 13 heads deep and went tuna fishing. We was successful. We end up with 2 large tunas then took us bottom fishing before landing on the docks. The captain cleaned and fillet the tunas with some rock fishes. Will definitely go back with these guys. We all had fun and will take these memories with us.
