I planned this weekend getaway for my friends and I. Two of which was their first time in the area. From the get go, Paola, who is the person that I coordinated with was very responsive and always kept me in the loop with any updates. Their policies are straightforward so there were no "surprise" extra charges. Paola provided me with our driver's contact information the day before the tour, which helped a lot. The day of, our driver Martin, contacted me 15 min ahead of schedule, which I really liked. He was very helpful and would always ask if we had a good time at the winery that we happened to visit. He would also accompany us to the entrance of each winery to let the hostess know about our reservation and also, he would communicate with me throughout our stops, without rushing us off course. My fiance and I decided to plan a trip to the Valle to celebrate both of our birthdays as well as our 5 year anniversary. We were reading online that rideshares aren't really accessible there and that hiring a private driver is more the norm so we opted to go that route. We were considering several different options but since we were bringing our 93 pound fur baby with us, we needed to make sure we found a company that was dog friendly. Initially, this is what separated Ansell from the rest but the level of service and communication they showed us really left us feeling that we had found the best choice possible. We were coming to the Valle to spend 5 full days and we knew that we wanted to mostly spend that time wine tasting but also were hoping to get recommendations on other things we could do in the region. I had a handful of wineries that I knew I wanted to check out, but apart from that Ansell basically planned out our itineraries for us. In the weeks leading up to our trip Ansell presented several different itinerary options, fine tuning them with our input as the date got closer. The end result was 3 days of wine tasting in the Valle with a lunch stop in between, and 2 days exploring downtown Ensenada as well as making a trip out to Puerto Nuevo, a nearby fishing village noted for its lobster. I also told them that I was planning to propose to my now-fiance and they went above and beyond in helping me select a great venue! Upon meeting our driver, Victor, we felt completely vindicated in our decision. Victor demonstrated a great deal of hospitality as well as knowledge of the region. His recommandations were always spot on and we are so glad we had the privilege of having him as our guide for the full 5 days. Not only was Victor extremely professional, he also was a great conversationalist. My fiance doesn't speak any Spanish (although she definitely learned how to say "no muerde" and "es un perro fresa" during our stay), so it was very helpful that Victor is bilingual. We had many cultural exchanges. My fiance's native language is Russian so we got to teach him some Russian phrases and he taught us about Mexican and Ensenada history. By the time the sun was setting on our last day with Victor, the mood was bittersweet. We felt as though we were saying goodbye to a friend. We know we will be back to the Valle and when we do, we will definitely be asking for Victor and I definitely recommend that anyone reading this to do the same read more

This past weekend we had a girls trip planned to Valle de Guadalupe. We booked a driver with Patrick to drive us around so we wouldn't be drinking and driving. The best decision ever! Patrick took care of the reservations we needed for the wineries we wanted to go to, because of COVID the wineries and restaurant are only allowed at 30% capacity. Our driver was Victor, he picked us up from our hotel and was professional. He made sure we were able to get into the wineries without any issues. Had an awesome time at the Valle de Guadalupe this past weekend. We originally gave Patrick a list of places we wanted to go. He made an itinerary with two of the places and two others he suggested. There was mixup with our tour date but Patrick was so accommodating and was able to adjust our itinerary to all four of the places we wanted to go at the very last minute. Hector, our driver was great and we enjoyed talking with him. It was so nice not to worry about driving and finding our way around. Every place we went to was amazing! I gave four instead of five stars only bc the last two places we went to didn't have reservations for us bc of the mixup in dates. But they were still able to accommodate us and we had a great time. We had the best experience in Valle de Guadalupe thanks to Jorge!! He was so accommodating, polite & knowledgeable. Before he picked my friends and I up from our hotel, he texted me asking if I wanted him to download any playlists on Spotify for the ride there (so cute!!) He got here right on time at 10am. He was waiting outside of the car for us with all the doors open- what a gentleman! He came fully equipped with water, gum, snacks, a cooler with sodas-anything you could ever imagine or want! This was our second time using Ansell tours and once again, we had a wonderful experience. Patrick provided us with a larger nicer shuttle for our 14-person group to the Valle. He arranged reservations ahead of time at all of the wineries as well as dinner at Salvia Blanca. All great choices and the dinner choice was spectacular. Our driver Jair was very knowledgeable and drove very safely to make sure we had a great time. Upon our return to the international border, Jair dropped us off at the same location that he picked us up at and left. A while later one of our group members realized she had left her wallet and passport on the shuttle. I gave her the driver's phone number who was already at home. He got into his own personal car and went back to where the shuttle was and retrieved her wallet and drove it back to the border to give it to her.
