They are truly a 5 star business because they are THAT AWESOME! We booked the upscale wine tasting package and it was just the best day ever. Our driver, Jose Luis Blanco, was friendly, prompt, and just a nice and sweet guy. He made us feel safe and is just so knowledgeable as he is from Ensenada. It was just my bf and I so it felt like we had our own private driver. We went to three beautiful wineries in Valle de Guadalupe and we did not feel rushed as he patiently waited for us. The wineries weren't too busy since it was in the morning so it felt like our own VIP experience. On our way back to Ensenada he asked us if we wanted to stop for tacos or souvenirs in the downtown Ensenada area before getting back on the ship. He even let us stop at OXXO for snacks! Though we didn't do the taco and souvenir stop though we had plenty of time to do so, it was just so nice and thoughtful that he offered that! He was just the best driver! 20/10! The best part is, we were back on the ship at 3:30pm and the ship leaves at 5:30pm. They will make sure you are back with more than enough time which was my biggest concern! Even if we stopped for tacos and souvenirs, we were still back to the Ensenada area around 3:00pm from our tastings with enough time to do this and be back on the ship on time. His motto was always "Give me a couple of wine barrels, a wooden plank over them, two old Italian guys and a couple of yeller dogs, and that is my idea of a tasting room". Well, the Valle de Guadalupe has some spots that are near as up scale as current Napa and Sonoma. But WAY off the beaten path and with the same kind of charm and passion that wine making seemed to have in the pioneering days of mid-century Northern California. Having been on lots of wine tours and tastings, it isn't often I find I learn a lot about wine making and its history. Chris, part owner of BTK, was our tour-guide and did a marvelous job of talking about the history of the valley, growing conditions, wine makers, local history that influenced wine making technology, etc. I found I learned a lot; in part because Chis is a very engaging story teller. The best part was the wine and the wine makers. We were VERY pleasantly surprised at the quality of the wines we tasted. Eleven wines total at two incredible wine making facilities, and every one a winner! Wish we could have taken home a lot more than we did. We had the good fortune of meeting the owners of Vena Cava, who clearly enjoy people and love their craft and the local industry they are building. The 2012 Reserve is easily one of the best wines I've ever had. And the winery is...well...unique, with a great story. Chris and Jen, thank you for a wonderful day. We are already thinking about how we work BTK into future vacations. Clearly you guys enjoy what you do and have a great talent for your work.

The…read morecompany charged us $150 pesos additional to our $1295 to take us to 4 wineries which it did not happened. we went to Frannes, McGlen which these wineries were in our tour. We had an incident in which one of our passengers threw up and we paid for the fee but at the end Jesus our tour guy and driver decided to charge us more money for coming back 30 minutes late which it was not our fault. They did not take us to the other two promised wineries due to being closed for events and went out to other places that made us waste more time. As we decided to leave once we paid for damages fees because we did not paid for late return Jesus called the police on us and ended up taking us to the police station because Jesus our your guy claimed we had not paid and we were drunk. This was a total lie and wrong thing to do. police $23000 pesos to let our driver go. Please don't trust this company and your Jesus as they are not trustworthy. Our friend texted Alan to informed him of what had happened and never got back to us. We were celebrating a birthday and ended up on a nightmare.
