My husband and I went on an excursion set up by our cruise on my birthday vacation to go to this winery. I did some light research and found that it was something I would be interested in participating in. We started my cruise on August 19, and on August 21, my birthday, we were scheduled to visit and tour La Cetto. My first experience with them was with their bus picking our cruise group up. Our guide, Larissa, lined us up outside the cruise ship, gave us a sticker with her name on it so we could affix it to our shirts, and explained when we would be leaving, which was about 10 minutes later when everyone from the ship on the excursion disembarked and met with us. We all filed into the bus, and it was a pretty full group. What I appreciated was seeing all types of people on the bus: Black, white, gay, straight, sober, and inebriated. Everyone was cordial. There were a group of 50-something women in the back of the bus who clearly all knew each other (probably cruising together). These ladies were inebriated, though not obnoxiously so, and they were absolutely enjoying themselves. As the bus departed the loading area, Larissa stood in the front with her microphone and introduced herself and set expectations. She was friendly and funny. She comically tried to teach us some basic Spanish words to use while in Ensenada. I speak a good amount of Spanish, so it wasn't really helpful to me, but it was a little funny hearing other people attempting to pronounce some of the words. She also taught us a Mexican song and got us all to sing along with it. As we made the nearly 50-minute trek to the first vineyard, Larissa expertly explained all the sites we were passing. This was really interesting, as this was my first experience as an adult in a foreign country, so it was fascinating to see how the architecture and style of buildings looked different from American ones. We passed a five-star hotel that looked a complete mess but that is apparently popular among celebrities like Rihanna who have stayed there in luxury. Overall, the scenery was pretty and interesting to see. I was like a kid in a candy store. One challenge my husband and I did encounter was the women in the back. They were so lively and animated that they were talking over Larissa as she was explaining the sites to us. We arrived to the first winery, which was a small vineyard that is family-owned. Once here, we were greeted with the smell of freshly cooked pizza and wine scents. The establishment had samples of wine and jellies for us to test. Most of the wines were delicious, especially the honey wine. The jellies were good, too. My husband and I ended up purchasing a bottle of the honey wine and the chocolate/strawberry jelly. The staff of the winery were fantastic and professional, and I have to state the prices were very reasonable, almost too low in my opinion. After having spent about an hour there, we loaded the bus again and went to the second winery, which was much larger and clearly a professional establishment. Our host was a young, little thing, but was so funny. We also got to test some wines, so much so that I got tipsy. They toured us through their entire wine-making facility, so we got to see the process behind the scenes. Everything was so very interesting. Both my husband and I took many pictures. After about an hour there, we headed back to the bus for the 50-minute ride home. Larissa once again entertained us and made us laugh throughout the process. We got back to the ship a little later than expected, but that wasn't a problem at all. Overall, this was a great experience. The only notable concern I had was that there were many flies around, so much so that they were landing on our drinks, which is unsanitary, of course. Outside of that, I'd recommend La Cetto to anyone.

We really enjoyed the wine tasting with the oil and the bread and a little bit of cheese. The CArnival Cruise representative for the Tours had curly hair. His name was curly the wine you can tell they were very finally made and taken care of. I really like the buckle because it's sweet and crispnow I can't find it here in the United States so I'm bummed out but willing to go back to Tijuana or Ensenada just for their wine

    Excellent! We purchased.

We went here after driving by numerous times and noting that it was a huge winery. Even though the tours are in Spanish, we were able to enjoy ours with basic Spanish skills. I recommend the top tier tours as the wines poured were very good. One of the pleasant surprises was that they sell olive oil from local orchards. We had been looking for a source of local olive oil since there are numerous olive orchards in El Valle. The oil was almost as expensive as the wine, but we were told by a fellow tourist that they had tried some and it was very good. Really glad we came!

One of the better wineries from at least the 3 we tasted for the day. LA Cetto was one of the few that opened at 10am. We needed an early winery for our first stop. We got the reserve tasting, comes with 4 tastes for about $350 pesos, which is about $17.50 each person. The price is pretty reasonable, especially that they give you the wine glass and a keychain. The bottle water and topo chico onsite was also very affordable. For the wines, we enjoyed the Chardonnay. It was a better tasting wine then the rest of the day. Wine tastings are done outside. The pours are pretty decent. Would definitely come back and try more of their wines.

Came here as part of a wine tour and enjoyed taking a tour of the facilities (which also had good air conditioning in some spots) and took advantage of lots of good photo taking opportunities. I liked the distinctly different flavors of the wine which weren't too strong for me and found their main shop to be maintained nicely with plenty of choices of wines to try. The staff here was friendly and inviting as well.

This place is fantastic - beautiful atmosphere. The tour guides are well-informed and kind! I went on my birthday and got a complimentary bottle of champagne. There's a patio to order charcuterie boards and snacks too!

We went as part of an excursion from our Disney cruise. About a 40 min bus drive from the port ar Ensenada Mexico. Our tour guide Jocelyn Belen on the bus pointed out some highlights and history of the pretty landscape and towns along the way. The region itself is pretty, I had no idea there were wineries in Mexico. LA Cetto is reportedly the largest producer of wines in Mexico. The winery is pretty, but because of the season the vines were bare of grapes. Our tour guide at LA Cetto was delightful, I wish I had gotten her name, and she took us around the facility and part of the grounds. At the wnd we had a tasting of their: 1. Chardonnay, 2. verano sauvignon blanc 3. petite sirah 4. don luis concordia seleccion reservada all were decent but on the sweeter side. Prices were amazing US dollar wise, most were $8, the most expensive was $16. Local olives, bread, olive oil, and some cheese on a charcuterie board was served too as an accompaniment. Worst part of the place was of course other tourists who either plopped themselves down to hog the charcuterie board or rudy stuck their glass in front of the line for each tasting.

Depending on the weather they will do tasting outside, we ended up her twice the week we visit Valle de Guadalupe since we really enjoyed the wine and it was surprisingly in expensive. The 1st time we were able to do a tasting outside and the 2nd time when it was a little more rainy (both days it's was rainy but one was more of a on and off mist you guess it depends on the staff) we were not. We had our twins with us so it was outside only since kids are not allowed in the tasting room but there were plenty of families with kids outside. There is no food here but the winey is very good and totally worth a visit

No reservations required. You pay for a tasting at a booth and get a ticket. They give you a complimentary keychain with the tasting. We did both the traditional and reserve tasting. I ended up like the traditional much more. Their whites were pretty good, especially the sauv blanc-- cool, crisp, and refreshing. I might be biased from the super hot weather though. Glasses were complimentary to keep after the tasting, which was nice. Grounds were not as nice as other wineries.

Good winery and tastings, your and food not overprice their wines. Worth the visit. I like the Tempranillo, Syrah and I always purchase a semi sweet pink rose for my mom.

This winery is in Baja California. It has been in business since around 1928. It was started by Italians and continued by the sons. They grow the grapes here and make the wines. I was on a tour from the Majestic Princess. I liked the white wines the best. They gave us tastes of 4 different wines and some bread and cheese. Two whites and 2 reds. BF got my reds. Then we went to one more winery. I fell asleep on the bus ride back to the ship.

Took a carnival cruise excursion to this place and it was nice. I have been hearing that since the terrible fires in Napa took place Ensenada has been upgraded to a must visit for wine tours. LA veto is the largest winery in Mexico according to the tour guide. They are a very modern winery and the wines were very good. We bought a few bottles to bring back and I was pleasantly surprised on how reasonable the prices were. I think the most expensive bottle was 17 dollars US. This is a nice change from Temecula where the average price for mediocre wine is $40-50. We went to another winery on the same excursion and it was bad. LA Cetto was the ticket.

This was our first stop in Valle de Guadalupe. Since our group was into sweet wines, we purchased tickets for those instead. We were able to try three different wines for the tasting. If you don't like sweet wines, you'll get one more tasting (for the same price) of their other wines. There was the white zinfandel, vino blanco frizzante, and the vino tinto tipo lambrusco. All of them were refreshing, but nothing stood out to where I wanted to buy a bottle. Be sure to check out their cute vineyard- it's a perfect spot for photos!

Our guide, Rigo. He knows what he's talking about (and pouring)!!

THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE HOTEL ONLY…read more This property sits a hotel, winery, and restaurant. We stayed at Casa Ocho in Room 7 at Bruma and absolutely loved it. We checked in around midnight and the staff made it ridiculously easy, they were super responsive on WhatsApp and had someone basically waiting for our arrival to guide us to where we needed to be. The moment we walked into the room, it felt like stepping into a desert-chic dream. Slippers and robes waiting for us was a small thing, but much appreciated after our 4 hour drive. The private hot tub was the real showstopper though. Sitting in warm water under a sky full of stars with zero bugs and zero noise is peak vacation energy. The shower in the morning was another highlight: sunlight pouring in, everything clean, and the products actually smelled good. I'm usually picky with hotel toiletries, but theirs were legit. My only gripes: the lighting at night in the room is a little too dim, and the shower knobs took a minute to decode. Once I figured out the perfect combo (and wrote it down like a mad scientist), it was fine. Room 7 also comes with its own private parking lot, which made everything even smoother. Beautiful place, super romantic, and a perfect little desert escape in the middle of Mexican wine country. Highly recommend staying here. Mornings turned into a little ritual for us, a quick drive to the bakery for coffees and warm pastries, with sheep, horses, and cows dotting the road like we were in some countryside commercial. The dogs and cats on the property were basically the welcoming committee. Finding them all became a game, and every single one got spoiled with pets. A couple tips if you stay here: - Don't walk to the Wine Garden or the bakery. Just drive. - From rooms 6 and 7, you can walk straight down through the vineyard to Fauna or the winery. It's an easy 5 minute walk, but know that coming back at night is pitch black. If that sounds annoying, drive- even though it's super close. - Try to have brunch at the Michelin rated Bruma Wine Garden (breakfast ends at 11am), fantastic menu and fresh juices

Thankfully i got wifi, replied that we would love to be there, got a reply saying we were good to go and off we went. I will thank our luck a large amount on the weather as many people cancelled due to pouring rain and flooded roads. The roads are rough, especially in the rain so a larger vehicle or a tour driver would definitely be beneficial but we made it happen. Upon arrival we were greeted with hugs, conversation, drinks and blankets and it honestly felt like we just showed up to the home of a family member. With the weather, it ended up just being the two of us and another couple who drove out for the day and previously was married at the vineyard which made for the most intimate afternoon tasting. My fiancé (oh that's still weird to say haha) is not really a wine drinker and I don't usually drinks reds but we both loved all 3 years of the tasting and the tapas that come with each were so delicious. One of the pairings was a taco with meat that I don't eat so I gave it to him and was more than thankful when Hilda noticed and asked her team to make a potato taco for me to take part. With the impeccable vibes, Carlos decided this was the right time and place and completely unbeknownst to me he had let James and Hilda know about his plan and they assisted in the greatest intimate proposal I could have ever dreamed of, rain and chilly temperatures and all. After our tasting we all spoke around the table like we had known each other for years and it really was the most special day and experience I could have ever asked for. We will definitely be back sooner than later, especially since we both fell in love with not only the humans on site but vineyard good boy Corcho. Thank you both for your hospitality, I honestly can't express it enough.
