We are forced to use this pharmacy as the facility where our family member lives is contracted with them. They charge different prices for meds and show duplicate fillings in a month. I have been trying to get this resolved for weeks with no call backs from anyone. Every time I call the person who handles the issue is not available and has no direct number. He is offsite and is always inaccessible. It's near impossible to get a manager or billing person on the phone because they happen to have left or have not arrived. I've been coming to santa maria pharmacy ever since surfer pharmacy closed. I am a patient of Dr. Ishak Bishara. He sends all his patient presceiptions here unless otherwise noted. The clerk at the front is always so helpful and friendly. If she cannot answer the phone, the SNAKES in the back do. They are so rude and unprofessional. I have had several run ins with them. They talk to you as if you were one of them. If they are servicing the public they should have a great customer service. D9nt expect that from the people in the back. Pros- if the front clerk answers the call expect to get professional service. -They have 2 seating areas if you would like to wait for your prescriptions. -If you call ahead of time they will ensure what time it will be ready so you dont have to wait. Cons- some workers will be rude and they dont care. They will give you attitude. -front parking on valley mall st is almost always full. You can park in the back lot, but its kind of sketchy looking. No rear entrance. - they dont always update the system so if your Dr called instead of faxing it won't come up. read more

Feb. 4th, 2020 I always come to this pharmacy but TODAY was l)(llthe last day. After ALWAYS giving them the benefit of the doubt they left me beyond disappointed. TODAY I took in a prescription for 2 of my kids. They both caught Pink eye and I went in to get the meds well they told me The way is about 45 minutes to an hour which I responded to them saying it was fine I would wait. So after I headed to my car where I sat with my 3 kids for an hour. After an hour I walk in to pick up the med. Just so they could tell me both of there medication was not available until monday. They could have notified me when I was leaving the prescription. On Feb. 5th I took my prescription to another pharmacy where they informed me it was too soon to get a refill because Santa Maria had billed my ins. (But I never received any medication) if I want the medication I would have to pay out of pocket! Feb. 10 Santa Maria hasn't canceled the billing yet my daughter and son are only getting worse and I cant afford to pay for their medications! This is BULLSHIT! I'll FORSURE never come back again and I'm definitely telling my family members to stay the hell away! read more

Had been using them for a couple of years for delivery as they more or less accomplished their fundamental function of getting me my prescription...most of the time. As has happened multiple times in the past I called when my prescription didn't show up and after 20 minutes on hold I am transferred to the pharmacist, who promptly informed me they no longer deliver outside 20 miles. Unprofessional to not inform someone they won't be receiving service until they call you after it was supposed to be rendered. Not to mention rather odd as their main branch is 11 miles away but hey maybe they are trying to reduce their clientele. I naturally requested to come in person to have my prescription filled so I don't go an entire week without my daily medication, where I was rudely interrupted and told that's not possible, we can only void the prescription. Pardon me if I'm failing to understand something but if someone shows up in person to fulfill a prescription that should be in line with being in business as a pharmacy no? I mean...that's why they exist right? Feels like a basic function they are failing at... The best part is when I informed my provider they are no longer able to fulfill prescriptions for me, it turns it they hadn't even informed their member clinics that they now have this policy. If you've read this far, and still plan to use them, no judgement. Everyone has a reason and can make their own choice. But maybe this can help one or two people out there avoid the stress of using this place. I'm all for supporting small pharmacies but they need to act like a pharmacy that handles prescriptions, many of which patients require to be functional. read more

This pharmacy will try to charge you for medication regardless if you already know you your insurance or medical covers it. I do not know if they are properly trained or don't really look it up in the system all they will say is "your insurance doesnt cover it". just something i thought should be noted so we dont get taken advantage of. read more

I hate dealing with these people. The whole point of their services is convenience yet there's nothing convenient about them. They arrive whenever they want any day they want and give you whatever they want!!! There was a time they were missing half of my order. There was numerous times they went to an old address and did not even bother to contact me. Finally they decided to show up at my address without any notice or phone call or anything ( always at different times) a month before they were supposed to and I had a zero idea because like I said they never give any notice so when I finally ran out of all medication and had my doctor refill and called them because I had a feeling it was going to be some BS again. At first they were trying to tell me that I'm not even supposed to get my medication because I should " still have it left" . I proceeded to tell them that my doctor just gave me a refilll . Then they came out saying the driver went to deliver my order a month ago and just anytime I guess and I wasn't home and he just left ?!?! I live in a huge apartment building where are you need a code to get through the door instead of giving me a call they literally just left.... I'm really grateful for this pharmacy! I come and get my family's prescriptions here because their delivery service is very convenient for me! Since I'm always at work I like to order my parents medications 3-5 days before they are due (just in case they don't have any refills) and also to get the medications before my parents run out of meds. Although ever since I enrolled my parents in their auto refill program they contact me every month to remind me that they are due and if I would like to have them delivered or ready for pick up. Every time there is a doctor visit I make sure to call the pharmacy once we leave the doctors office and let them know if it's for pick up or delivery. This saves me so much time especially if I go pick it up! It also gives them time to process and fill my medications before I get there so I can skip the wait! I also have a pleasant time speaking to Laura and Rubi they are always super helpful and nice! read more

This fucken pharmacy is shit. My first time using yelp and need to put this review for all people out there who are seeking for a pharmacy, They deliver my daughter's meds really late. I call them in the morning all the time and they always come in after 8 in the night. Like do you really care about your patients? Would you like if a pharmacy done this to your daughter or kids when they need the medication right after seeing the doctor? This pharmacy takes forever in waiting time as well and they always say to wait 15 minutes more when I was there more than 15 mins already. I seen the girls in front using there phones and giggling instead of keeping up with the patients. That was irritating me. When I go to my pharmacy rite aid or other pharmacies, I don't see them on there phone all the time when I'm there. And they have the pharmacy dirty, floors all sticky, there fridge is always half empty, kids crying, and they have spiders as well. And I give props to the old review 6 months ago under carlos,he is right. I was there too that day and the girl that was using her children as an example, she culdnt be the supervisor like they said because in her name tag, it clearly didn't say she was the supervisor or anyone above to decide what to do that day, her name is Elizabeth, I believe if I read it right. She really has a fucking shitty attitude, she could of at least tell the parent in a nice politeful way. But I see she wasn't raise right by her parents. It's a disappointment too that the owner let her talk like that to his customers. I would only say that the only person I have talk over the phone and has gaven me my daughters medication on time twice was Araceli, she would always tell me that the driver will call me when they are on the way or if any questions. Great service , front greeting with a beautiful smile not like other pharmcies who can make you feel more sick with their greetings , waiting time acceptable and varies from 5-30 minut the staff do their best to serve and with the variation of insurance coverage they do their best to find alternative in the same time and yes it could take little bit longer time, and if the patient can't wait they offer free home delivery . Pharmacists do their best when I ask for explaination or consultation . I go there for my self med and my family's med . This pharmacy is a great disappointment for me as a new costumer. My nurse referred me with lots of good praises for their compassion, well those nasty hearted employees have no compassion that's for sure. There was this eldery couple with their 5 or six year old granddaughter that was trying to hold her urine. I ask if they could please let her use the restroom . Their stupid excuse first was, the restroom is for employees only. When I said come on she is only a child ,please let her in she said no. Then this micky mouse so called manager came and also said no because it was out of order . I confronted her too and seen that I was persistent she goes and she calls another employee posing as another manager. She pretty much gave the same BS about the restroom been out of order and added that they also had to use the restroom next door. I flat out told told she was lying. She started with her fake appologies and stated that she understood why I was upset,adding that she herself had two kids.As if her lying about the restroom would some how make me feel beeter casue she used her kids to make her look so understanding. If anything that made me more upset to see how she would go to that extreme to exuse her ugliness .It is more than obvious, that they were lying through their teeth. What bothers me is that this is a religious based pharmacy. With the Virgin Mary's image right in front of the counter. To me not showing compassion for a child in need is hypocritical no matter how many adults they help.
