My call was answered byvan associate by the name of Michael. By the time I arrived a half hour later with my book lainch flier, I parked right in front of the store, as their was a vacant spot. When I walked in, using a cane, Ibwas immediately recognized by Michael, who ran and retrieved my order of four acrylic stands. While at the register, he was incredibly kind; even going the extra mile to grab my four flyers that were bagged in my passenger seat, whichbwas extraordinary. He then placed one in the stand and showed it to me, as it looked incredible. After I paid for my four stands, he walked me to my parking spot and gave the greatest customer service I've ever received since my heart-,health accident some five year's ago. After we talked a bit, I found out his passion for music, as he's a gifted drummer from Minnesota. I told him of my experience there in Austin, Minnesota; as I pitched a professional baseball game their in a hot, muggy, insect infested summer of 1997. He knew quite well what I was talking about. Michael was an extraordinary employee and all executive management should be aware of how this employee treats your customer's, as he was exquisite, thorough, and extraordinary (to say the least. Im proud to have met a kind, passionate, and professional in my hometown of Santa Fe, where customer service can sometimes be absent in the minds of the local population. I paid this UPS Store over $200 JUST for packaging four car wheels (over $50 per wheel). This did NOT include shipping -- I provided the labels separately. These were shipped as four separate shipments (one wheel per box) and every single wheel arrived damaged. When you are paying $50+ per wheel for what is ultimately cardboard and packing materials, the expectation is that you are paying for the store's expertise and professional judgment in packaging expensive, heavy items so they actually arrive safely and undamaged. I specifically chose to pay professionals because I wanted them packaged correctly and safely. I even called ahead to discuss box size and was told extra room would be left for bubble wrap, padding, and protective material to keep the wheels immobilized. Instead, the extra space was left empty. The wheels arrived sliding around inside oversized boxes with only a couple of lightweight packing pillows that did absolutely nothing to secure heavy metal wheels. There was no meaningful foam, Styrofoam, rigid protection, or face protection, which is especially frustrating because the wheel faces (the most exposed surface) are exactly what suffered the worst damage. Afterward, I spoke with the manager, Joseph, who was polite and acknowledged the wheels had been poorly packaged. He specifically told me the store should have offered a more robust packaging option, which I absolutely would have paid for had it been offered. He also told me he intended to refund the packaging charges but said he needed ownership approval and was confident it would be approved. The next day, ownership refused. I was then told to pursue a UPS insurance claim -- despite the store acknowledging the damage resulted from inadequate packaging. UPS reviews packaging as part of any claim, leaving me in the frustrating position of being expected to pursue reimbursement for damage the store itself acknowledged resulted from how the items were packed. I remained polite and patient over multiple calls and gave the store every opportunity to make this right. Unfortunately, after they refused to even refund the packaging charges, I was left to pursue other avenues. See the photos and judge for yourself how a heavy wheel would fare bouncing around in a box with that much empty space and so little protection. If you are shipping anything valuable, fragile, or heavy, I would think very carefully before trusting this location to package it.

I arrived in Santa Fe without the right cable to charge one of my older Apple devices, and the owner very kindly checked his parts bins at home and brought one in for me. He was very accommodating and communicated very generously to let me know if he had found one. Another 20 minutes and still no success. Finally went to USPS and mailed the package without a pre-paid return label for my documents. Young men at both Fed Ex locations tried to help with service but were unsuccessful - lots of technical problems with computers. A waste of an hour when I was in a bit of a hurry.

As we live outside of Santa Fe, this was mostly done by phone, each of us independently for different issues. I have been very pleased with Zia's assistance in immediately getting to the source of the problem, so that I could remotely fix the issue without going in to Santa Fe. I've been a computer user for over 50 years (yes, you read that right), and have yet to come across someone with Zia's ability to rapidly and cost-effectively solve my problem.
