Boozy kombucha not for Chugging in plain sight.

Santa Fe Market is very small for a local grocery/market they have the usual meat market, produce, groceries, beers, wines, smokes, gourmet items, standard groceries. street parking only. prices may be a pricey. what isn't these days? went looking for an item never seen before of good value. akin to looking for a needle in a haystack. Eureka! i found one! brew: "Strainge Beast" hard kombucha 7% alc (4.99) 16 oz. -kombucha alkie buzz with ginger/lemon/hibiscus favors slight sugar essence. -has beer buzz.

Pastrami n turkey - if you can find it

The sandwich would be a lot better with more meat. The amount of meat my wife and I got was pathetic! We got lettuce sandwiches. Go to Point Richmond Market instead.

    Ham and salami sandwich

Got a fire sandwich and a BoochCraft for like $15. Guy behind the counter was super nice. Hell yeah.

I love coming to the Santa Fe market for fresh fruit in the morning. I also appreciate they are consistent with keeping stock of much needed household items during the pandemic, as a small business they are doing a great job to care for their community. They have great prices and we are very grateful to have them in the community!

Nice! Dried Tart Cherries are tasty, nutritious, and supposedly a natural remedy against gout.

Santa Fe Market in Point Richmond is closer to a grocery store which has a meat counter in the back, and a modest section of fresh veggies, fruits, spices, and cooking ingredients. I come here once in a while during lunch hour to pick up rare one-off ingredients like bay leaves for making adobo for example. On my most recent visit, I bought a pound of sour dried cherries for a healthy snack. I was suffering for a few weeks from a sore foot (due to a mild case of gout), and I've read that dried cherries and organic apple cider vinegar are among the best natural remedies. Plus, cherries taste good and are nutritious! Pros of this market: + Dried food and nuts section + More veggies and fresh fruits + Good selection of herbs, spices, pastas, sauces + Meat counter Pros of their competitor, Point Richmond Market across the street: + Deli + Krispy Kreme, It's It, Three Twins Ice Cream + Large liquor and beer section

Best sandwiches in Point Richmond. If there was a sandwich war they would win. . . . .

I ordered the El dorado. Their rotisserie chicken, pepper-jack cheese, chipotle aioli, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, hatch chiles, jalapeno and pepperoncini. I'm am such a sucker for sandwiches! This thing is on a big piece of ciabatta, toasted in their panini press. This thing is soooooo delicious. They usually premade it which isn't the same but I somehow manage to get there when their cold case is empty so that means..... fresh hot rotisserie!!! This hits the spot everytime! The worker who took my order, the young man was trying to work as fast as he could considering he was way past his time to take a lunch. It was a bit long to make two sandwiches but I understand considering everyone else was helping someone. He was nice, apologized for the wait. He made a damn good sandwich!

They play fun music that sometimes makes people spontaneously break into song and dance in the aisles. Okay, maybe I'm painting an exaggerated picture here - it's not like a musical - you need to go to the Oakland store for that level of engagement ;) The Richmond store aisles also feel a bit more spacious than other branches of the GO and staff members are usually friendly. Anyway, the Grocery Outlet is becoming increasingly useful for anyone on a budget (check out Ethical Bargains) and especially anyone who's trying to adopt a more sustainable, plant-based diet. Meat and dairy substitutes can be expensive, so this is one of my main reasons for going. The other is red wine - it can be a lot of fun trying to find excellent wines there and some are on sale for a fifth of the normal price. Current wine tip: Sebastiani winery. Overall, I think that the Grocery Outlet deserves 4/5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact, based on these factors: * Stocking food that would otherwise be in danger of being tossed out because of packaging changes, overstock, imperfections, or looming expiration dates, is part of a solution to the huge problem of food waste. Around 30% of food is wasted globally, contributing 8% of greenhouse gas emissions. * GO stores have been trending towards stocking more plant-based and organic food. * The Grocery Outlet stocks a good number of brands that rate well, ethically. For example, Miyoko's, Cascadian Farm, Dr. Bronner's soap, Treeline vegan cheese, Beyond Good chocolate, etc.) * The Grocery Outlet brings plant-based food (meat substitutes like Beyond Burgers) within reach for those on a budget who want to live a more sustainable life.

After having dinner at one our regular place, Google maps directed us north this time to get onto the freeway. After traveling two blocks, we came across this Grocery Outlet and had to check it out. It was a stand- alone store and it had its own large parking lot. This store is large, spacious with wide aisles compared to typical stores. Large displays of items and there were many hot buys and deals. The refrigerated section of produce, meats, deli and dairy covered the back wall of the store. The store was well stocked and carries a lot of inventory in each category, so you get a lot of options here. Scored on mangos at $.50, Guinness pretzels at $.50 and 22oz organic granola for $1.99. This is one of the better GO stores that I've shopped. A good store choice for you Grocery Outlet shoppers if you're in the area.
