Had to have a 2 week old dip manicure taken off, and decided to go one more round and get another. I was visiting from out of state and ended up finding availability here. Maybe I'm just used to something different but this place did not seem clean. The nail tech tore up my cuticles with the sanding tool and (friction) burned me a couple of times. It was really unpleasant. The finish product looked ok, aside from being crooked along the cuticle line on two nails. I got a hand/arm massage (usually my favorite part) for less than 30 seconds on each arm. By noon the following day, 3 of my nails were chipped and one was lifting. Maybe it was just an off day or something but based on my experience, definitely not 4+ stars for $45 + tip. read more

We were regulars before moving out of state in 2019 and since being back in town it's been so nice to be back at Sandy's! We've been back a few times now and it's like we never left. My and Sandy did such a great job for my daughter and I. During Covid 19 they are operating outside and they offered us cold water, cold towels to cool off, and were very in tuned to their customers needs. the nails were perfect! and that is hard to find in Sac anywhere. they have tents outside for shade. they offered pedicures and full sets of nails and do a great job on designs. read more

I never do reviews but this was not okay. Nails were shaped wrong, so asked the lady to just cut them off. After my nails were done I notice that she cut me. I can see weird little black dots (maybe old nail polish). Didn't even paint my nails correctly left gaps. Fourth left polish residue on my fingers. Just overall do not recommend. Ask for Mai! She wonder w/ nails. I wanted the same replica as the ones I had done back in Hong Kong and she was able to do it for $30 w/out tips. I went in to get my real nails redone which were long .my lady that does my nails was out of town so I went here.when I went in I let them know that I needed all my nails redone. And that my nails are real not fake .can they do them .they gave me an older man, and before he started, I asked him are u able to do my nails, and they are real. I just want new acrylic and new nail polish. As he started he started breaking the old acrylic off he was breaking the real nail underneath. I told him why is he doing it like this instead of grinding it down .there was a language barrier. So I'm sure he said this is how it needed to be done. I should of left at that time but let him continue..He did eventually put my hands in a solution of strong alcohol. Which was burning my eyes so he continued. Already breaking 3 nails at this time .after I realized he's not going to be able to take acrylic off the way he's doing it .I did tell him there already broken he might as well trim them down .he cut down all the way done to the nub .I end up with fake nails .at this time they gave me a lady.and end up putting fake while I was crying what a disaster. read more

I found Sandy's Nails through Yelp because I was specifically looking for a place that does nail art. After looking through all of Mai's work on Yelp, I called to make an appointment and am so glad I did because I had such a great experience! I believe Mai is the only one that does nail art here so make sure you call and book an appointment for her if that's what you're looking for! First of all, my nail art came out great! I was leaving on vacay to New York that day so I wanted some buildings on one finger and a simple gold/heart design on another finger. All I had to do was show Mai a picture and she ended up doing a better job than I imagined! In addition, I had to leave on a plane in an hour and a half so she made sure I was out of there in a timely matter. However, the reason I highly recommend her is because she goes above and beyond to make sure her customers are happy and takes no short cuts. The nail salon I previously frequented used to shave off my old gel polish, which has caused my nail bed to thin and crack. One of my fingernails actually cracked right in the middle and unlike the previous nail technician who just painted over it, Mai took the time to superglue the nail so that it wouldn't break off. I will definitely be coming back! Although Sandy's Nails is a bit more expensive than my previous spots, it's so worth it! read more

I can't believe this shop has been here for 26 years and I've never heard of it! My sister randomly found this place and told me that I need to try it. She raved about how great the customer service was and her nails were so cute!! I made an appointment and was able to get in for a girls' day with my mother in law and everyone was so nice! We were greeted immediately when we came in. They made my timid MIL feel right at home and she really enjoyed the experience. I got Mai for the gel manicure with designs and she's so personable and sweet! Not to mention that her nail artistry is on point. The shop may look a bit outdated but everything was clean, the service was great, and my nails look awesome! You can tell they have a lot of regulars and really knew their clients. 4 stars for the service. I have never ever experience such great service like this at a nail salon. I was out having a girls day and we decided we needed to get pedicures. We found this place on yelp because of it's ratings and decided to check it out. We came in and were taken care of instantly. Sandy took care of me while her daughter My took care of my friend. We both got pedicures while my other friend got a full set from Sandy's husband, Randy. Yes I know all of their names, because they were such a cute family and so welcoming! They even have a dog there name lala that's friendly.. Did I mentioned she recently got a manicure? Her nails were pink! Haha anyways on to the quality of the work.. Overall I thought my pedicure was okay. I felt it was really quick, and the massage wasn't that great. She only spent about 3 minutes in massaging me. Usually I get pedicures at other location they spend about 8-10 mins on massages(4 mins per leg) . But oh we'll, she was so sweet, and I'm too nice as we'll to say something. At least the paint job on my nails was good. My friend who got a full set however, was not satisfied. Her fake nails were not done nicely and there were bumps on it. From far away it looks nice, up close you can see all the mistakes. I would have given 3 stars because this place is "A-Okay" to me, but an extra star for their service. read more

I love this place! The experience is unlike any other nail salon I've ever been to. Everyone there is so nice and a genuine pleasure to talk to/hang out with. You feel like a part of the family when you're there (they even offer you drinks and candy when you arrive). Sandy did so great on my husband's pedicure that he is now SOLD on doing this monthly or more. I called before noon on a Tuesday to see if I could get a pedicure and they told me they are booked the entire day. They should remove the walk ins welcome sign if it's that difficult to get a basic pedicure. Not many salons I know of fully booked midday on a Tuesday or that won't at least try to accommodate you. This is a fabulous family-run nail salon. I went to Sandy's Nails on Elk Grove-Florin Rd today for the first time. It was a great, relaxing experience. There are a lot of options for glitter tips and nail art. Gel manicures are also offered here, which last 2-3 weeks long and come in plenty of colors. I have gotten glitter full sets, gel manicures and pedicures at this salon. Sandy, Randy, and their daughter, Mai, are all wonderful manicurists!
