I literally have all my work clothes at this cleaner.OMG They're also closed on Black Friday!!!I work on Black Friday and all my clothes are being held HOSTAGE!!! I just moved to Arcadia from Calabasas, California. I travel a ton and thus drop off dry cleaning weekly. Decided to use Magic Touch Cleaners as my local cleaners for my clothes. After a month of spending approx $70 dollars a week there, I brought home an expensive white shirt that I only used once. When I tore the wrapper off to put the shirt away I noticed some discoloration in my shirt that wasn't there when I had originally brought it in to get cleaned. So I mentioned this to the owner and he said bring it back. So I did, and a week later I went to pick it up (today). The owner informed me that and I quote, "I talked to the staff and they said this yellow mark (discoloration from excessive heat when dry cleaning) was already on there." I told him if it was already there from the first cleaning why didn't you or your staff bring that to my attention before I left the first time? He had no answer. Terrible customer service for an owner to take a stand like this when he's wrong. It's unfortunate that small business owners don't see the big picture. He sacrificed a good paying client for a short gain in not having to reimburse me for the damage done to my shirt. If you are looking for a honest and affordable Dry Cleaner don't go there. I get this company has been around for 30 years but each are probably individually owned and operated. This guy has no clue on how to operate a small business in terms of offering good quality service. No idea on customer satisfaction. read more

I have been going to this location for a couple of years. During my last drop off, I asked the gentleman(owner) to tell me what the charge would be since there were three blouses for my wife to be laundered with 2 pants and a shirt. He said he would not know until it is done. Although they do a pretty good job most of the time, their prices seem to be always higher than other places. Anyway not only he talked me to have everything dry cleaned instead. When I came in to pick my laundry today, the same guy charged me $57.00 for 6 pieces. He knows that I would never agree to get it done at this price. Now I clearly understand why he did not want to give me the price up front. I feel cheated and robbed at the same time. This dry cleaner does a good job, but, they are outrageously expensive!!! $8 for a dry clean shirt and $25 to alter the sleeves on my shirt. That's almost double what their nearest competitor charges. Nice people and good results but not a good value. read more

I took a basic black dress here to get a small tear in the seam fixed ($7 -not bad!) and had them dry clean it while they were at it. The total cost was $21. Wait, what? The dry cleaning was more than the seam fix? I was a little shocked at the price for a normally machine washable dress (...bummed I didn't just wash it myself!). I guess I am spoiled with the great dry cleaning deals at Park Avenue Cleaners. Lastly, it took them TWO weeks to make this small fix and dry clean the dress! They also said that they would call when it was ready but didn't so I had to call and check on it a few times. I may be back if I need alterations/sewing help but definitely not for dry cleaning. And if you're in a hurry and need alterations done FAST, this may not be your place! read more

I took a feather comforter and a cotton fill comforter to Sandy's and couldn't believe what a great job they did. Both comforters looked brand new. Sparkling white and fluffy. Bravo Sandy's!!! I had some items in my car that I was planning on dropping off at the dry cleaners. I drove by the sign that said "green dry cleaning 50% off" at Thompson Peak & FLW location and thought, why not? First of all, my phone number, first and last name were all wrong on the printout I received after dropping off my clothes. I corrected all of this with the employee and left. I start work early and wanted to pick up my items one morning prior to going into work. I checked the hours ahead of time and verified that Sandy's opened at 7am. Upon arrival, nobody was there. 15 minutes later, nobody had shown up. I left. I called later to find out what happened and they explained that someone was not able to come in unexpectedly. I asked the employee to have the manager call me. I never received a call back. As an aside, when you call them you get a busy signal most of the time. I would never again do business with Sandy's Magic Touch. People are busy these days and have to rely on posted hours being accurate. In addition, the manager did not care to follow up with my request to speak with them. That's bad business... read more

I absolutely recommend Sandy's! I took my wedding gown to Sandy's Magic Touch after our wedding covered with grass stains, asphalt, scuff marks and dirt. Sandy's did wonders! The gown is meticulously clean and beautifully preserved in a stunning Keepsake Box. FLW and Thompson Peak location. The 3 shirts I brought in came back to me with my name inked stained on them. It was like they steamed it with the tag still on it and it bled through. It is stained now. I went back and just asked for my $2.95 back per shirt and they proceeded to tell me it was impossible they did it....Really? It was so obviously done by them and all I wanted was a refund of the cleaning. They kept telling me I was wrong and showed me another random shirt as example that it had no stain. Yea obviously they made a mistake that probably does not happen often on my shirts. Anyway, a simple $9 and I would be fine but the way it was handled was so terrible. Also, you will never see a more empty dry cleaners in your life. After my experience, I am not surprised. I highly recommend spending an extra dollar and going right down the street. read more

Be very careful when you leave anything with their alterations department. We took a skirt in yesterday, had to come back to have it fitted properly, and was quoted a $50 fee to hem this very full skirt. She told us it would be ready today at 4 PM. I went to get the skirt after an evening phone call last night from the seamstress saying she changed her mind that it would now be $85. I spoke with the owner today and he said he would not honor the price for service we were given when we dropped off the skirt to be hemmed, because the seamstress felt that it was a little bit harder than she had thought. I'm sorry, the honorable thing to do is to adjust the cost and charge the price given when you dropped off the item. Had I known it would be $35 more, I would have taken it to my neighborhood cleaner who charges $45, plus a ten dollar rush fee. Beside the excessive cost, the owner accepted no responsibility for the cost initially given, and had an attitude of he could care less about the cost difference. And to make it worse, the hem is not straight... The tulle and slip are showing on one section of the skirt! They have ruined my daughter's prom skirt, and overcharged us to boot! These people don't even know how to treat wool!!!I have brought clothes here before - mostly because they are close to home and listed as "organic". I told myself this justified their price. I recently brought my favorite wool beanie to them. I thought the hat looked a little scrunched when I picked it up, but figured it was the way they'd put it on the hanger. I didn't put it on until later (who dons a wool cap in the late summer in Phoenix?), but when I went to pack the hat for a trip, I noticed it had shrunk...as in, cannot even get it on my head shrunk. I brought the hat back into the cleaners, and the man kept saying that they he didn't really think it was shrunk - I demonstrated that it no longer fit on my head. Then he started saying that "no dry cleaners would wash wool". I said "I KNOW wool shouldn't be washed. That's why I brought it to YOU - to a DRY CLEANER". He finally agreed to give me a credit - which I did not accept. I wanted a REFUND, as I will not be bringing any more items to this cleaners in future. He did not give a refund. I left and will not be back. read more
