We are so thankful for our first experience at Sandy's Grooming. We found Annette through other pup-friends who were groomed at Annette's previous workplace. Easy to say, we were not disappointed with our pup's grooming. Our standard Goldendoodle is 8 months old at 41.5 pounds. His last groom was in November and he was super moppy looking and shaggy. She cleaned him up so well. We had a list of things we were looking for and she did her best to follow through. I am most impressed with the cut of Tobi's body and legs -- it's super clean and we can actually see the outline of his legs. Doodles always look so funny after they get groomed, but Tobi still looks really good! We've gotten so many compliments and multiple people say our groomer did such a good job. The baseline price was $100, per his size/weight/breed. Tobi had matts so it cost an extra $20 to remove those. We made an appointment at 1:00 PM and picked him up at around 4:15-4:30 PM. It did take kinda long because there was a pup that wasn't finished before us. We rate our overall experience 5/5. Definitely will come back here when he needs to be groomed next! Gus has been groomed by Annette for over 3 years. It was very difficult to find a groomer for a large breed, but after trying a few places I found Annette. From the very beginning, Annette has been amazing. The first thing I noticed was how great she is with communicating. She always comes out and greets Gus and talks to me about how I want him groomed. She really listens and gives suggestions on what would be best for him. When Annette first began grooming Gus he was very difficult to groom because he was sensitive to certain noises and did not like his paws touched. At times he would even be aggressive. Net-net, Sandy's has solid groomers but customer service from management is sorely lacking and they are expensive. Here's why: I thought carefully about this review before writing it. I'm sharing what happened here because I have been in sales and interfacing with customers for my 30-year career in business sales and I believe that those of us who choose to interact with customers directly should be accountable for how we interact with them. When I started going to Sandy's a couple years ago, it was to bring my Maltese and my male husky/malamute mix. The Maltese is easy and I have always been happy with her results (bath and haircut). Anyone who knows the mix knows that they are noisy and strong. My boy proved to be challenging to trim his nails so I was asked to come into the shop early when one of the groomers could meet me so I could help hold him while she trimmed his nails. She also asked that I only schedule him to be groomed with her because she felt only she could handle him. We got into an every-other month rhythm on his grooms which was working well although the price increased by 30%. The day before my last visit I received a call confirming my 7:30AM appt. When I arrived, my normal groomer was not there so the girl at the desk said she would try to call her. After 10 minutes of waiting I was going to leave so I wasn't late for work, but the girl on duty said she knew my boy she could do his nails no problem. She did the standard trimming routine while I held him and kept him calm. He is 9 years old and has never bitten anyone. When I arrived to pick him up my normal groomer was there and admonished me (not in a nice way) for making my appointment with someone else and that I had yelled at "her team" during drop-off. I objected to her comment because I always book my appointments 2 months in advance when I pick-up, and there was no problem when I dropped him off (the other groomer handled his nails well). My question was how is it my responsibility to know her schedule, vs. the person who booked it with me (sounds like a management/training issue)? The resulting conversation was heated, and she kept looking over my shoulder at the other customers in the room, emphasizing that their booking issue was my responsibility. She then told me that I was no longer welcome to bring him back and also Merry Christmas (not in a nice way). I had to ask for the change from my payment...no, I was not tipping today... read more

I think the spot is very over priced as it is for just the groom, nail trim and "hygiene trim" I've been to places where I will not name since I'm not promoting, that did a much better hygiene trim and groom. When I got there they also charged me and extra fee per pet because the under coat was more than expected which was not disclosed to me at the beginning. So add that on top of the price. You are also making an appointment but they tell you to come back in 5-6 hours. We really wanted to get our dogs groomed before the weekend. When we called Sandy's Grooming to make an appointment, they were available to groom both of our dogs later that same day! Our boys just needed a basic grooming. We dropped them off, went for a quick lunch, and then came right back to pick up our dogs. It was just that fast. It was so nice knowing they wouldn't be in a kennel all day. They looked so pretty when we picked them up from Sandy's Grooming. Their coats were soft and silky. Our dogs looked like they felt good too! The groomers seemed really nice and professional.
